Yeah I agree with Sophie. A large part of this episode was showing how formidable the Italians are. They didn’t waste any time going for John and his family. Hell, they were IN TOMMY’S HOUSE! Antonio was there for months and could’ve taken Tommy out at any time. Opening the season with such a huge death really raised the stakes and ensured the audience would be on edge for the remainder of the season.
