At the end of our lives, a friend of mine tells me, our dogs will be there to greet us. You will see Rocky again. He will take you to across the other world where our loved ones wait for us. I don’t care if that sounds crazy, I believe it. Your Rocky and my Buddy boy - they are family too and the Good Lord will reunite us with them. He made dogs after all. He knows how we feel about them.

@@jgriff19861947 i know sir it was one of the worst things in the world for us to endure....i have had to do it several times with my beloved friends...i still remember and cry to this day for each one....i look at their pictures and smile for the loving memories of each one.....and o love the 2 3 year olds i have now....i'm 62 and maybe these are the last i have??? but i dont know how i would have ever got thru my life without them.....i loved each one and needed them....and when they needed us.....sir, we were there holding them and watching their wonderful spirit leave that old body and run free like a puppy once more....i saw it and felt it and i'm sure you did too? there's no other feeling in the world....pain....but joy for our good ole friends that they are free of their pain....hope that helps ......i know your pain too....GOD BLESS YOU
My dog is named Rocky. They think he was born in 2011. He was an abused rescue. He was brought back to shelter twice before we got him. It was my husband's idea and i was not really onboard...shortly after that he was clearly my dog. It took awhile but, he has been a great friend. Sadly he is slowing down and you know how that goes. I know he has had much love and happiness with us. I am so sorry for the loss of your good friend.

To teach us humility, respect. They support us when we are sad, hurting. They make us laugh at their silly expressions and antics. They want to please and make us happy. They are one of GOD'S greatest blessings given to us. GOD expects us to take the very best care of them that we can. To love them and cherish the short time we are allowed to keep them. GOD only loans them to us, HE always Takes THEM HOME. YOUR PRECIOUS ROCKY knew he was loved immensely, he never doubted that. You know in your heart when your most cherished friend/ companion) guardian angel is nearing the end. It is our most difficult challenge to bear. My beloved Aurora had a wonderful life and I will love her forever 💕 After she passed I prayed that I would find another wonderful companion that could join the ongoing "Aurora pack.". Luckily I was able to get connected with the perfect match. We are here for each other + enjoy every day together! I almost cried watching this.🥺 My dog Billy passed on April 21 of this year. He was a beagle I've had for six months, but he was also a senior dog. It really broke me to my core when he passed away really, because in those short amount of months I became super close to him and he became apart of my everyday life. I can totally feel you , it's super hard to lose a pet. But our pets are at peace now, and rest in peace to Rocky! 💕🥰
I feel your pain Harvey. I just had to say goodbye to my best friend Teddy of 13.5 years. He was born Nov. 25, 2010 and we said our hardest goodbye May 19th, 2024. It has been the hardest 2 weeks of my life. I came across an argument that losing a dog can be just as difficult or even harder than losing a human and I can say that it definitely can compare. Believe me I know I lost my 20 year old son back in 2019 and the pain of losing my first dog hurts just as much. The reason I think is because after a certain age our kids grow and have their own lives, whereas for our dogs, we are their lives. Humans love each other under certain conditions but dogs understand what it truly means to love unconditionally. And as much joy our fur babies bring to us while they are with us, when I reflect on all the great years we had together it brings back all that joy we shared together. But unfortunately grief is the price we pay for loving so the greater the grief the greater the love you shared with Rocky.
I sure feel very sorry about all your loses that is major heart break, I do agree on all you have said I have lost about all my family and our generation, and this hurts as much as any of them and in some insistence more. One of the hardest things I have had to face. Thank you.
I lost my precious Lola 2 years ago. Unfortunately I had to put her down to save any unnecessary suffering. She had spinal cancer and I vowed she would not suffer for my selfishness. I had my sweet baby for 16 WONDERFUL YEARS. Lola is and will always be in my broken heart until I die. I have lost relatives and never cried as hard as I did or mourned so long and still mourning. She is my world. So many many cherish memories. So many beautiful moments. Nobody can understand that type of loss that hasn't had that type of relationship with a dog. She is and always will be my best friend. The unconditional love she had to give was like no other. I felt so helpless and yet still questioning could I have done something different. I have a new baby named Casey that has helped me cope with my dreadful painful loss in so many ways. Sometimes I feel as though she has many of Lola's loving traits. Not comparing but just feeling so fortunate for her love and affection. Casey will never replace Lola but she is definitely helping me heat from my tragedy. Having to make that terrible choice to put her to sleep was the worst thing I have ever had to do in my life. I hope you find healing in your time of grief. Im so very very sorry for your loss of such a sweet sweet baby. Please understand that we are here for you and know that your pain is our pain too.

Watched it twice and cried each time. Recently one of outer little girls. Struggling to breathe near the end. Made it to 14. Spent the last day kissing her, petting her and gave her a nice bath. Took her to the vet and when it was over knew she was free from the struggle. Now she is in Heaven and we will see each other again.

Gut wrenching. My boy Bogie crossed the Rainbow Bridge in October 2013 after 15 years of pure love and joy he brought. His collar hangs on my bed post, and his ashes in a cedar box urn on my nightstand. He's always with me forever.

My beloved Aurora was also born in 2010, she passed in 2022 I dreaded when that Time would come. You know in your heart when your most cherished friend/ companion) guardian angel is nearing the end. It is our most difficult challenge to bear. My beloved Aurora had a wonderful life and I will love her forever 💕 After she passed I prayed that I would find another wonderful companion that could join the ongoing "Aurora pack.". Luckily I was able to get connected with the perfect match. We are here for each other + enjoy every day together! Lots of walks, spending time in yard/ garden, enjoying nature, + sometimes meeting new people, new pets ❤❤ Thank you for sharing your beautiful friend 💕

I loved my Sophie ..Lab and Stanley..Corgi Rescue. Both had to go to sleep. After all this time when I talk about them I cannot finish because this old man just starts weeping. God I loved those two, they were my friends and allowed a grown man to be a boy again.

We have a little Schnoodle she is 13. We are in are seventies and this will be are last dog. My wife and I have cried a lot over the years of pets that have passed. Are little dog Zoey has been a blessing. All pets are unique made by their creator.

My dog Billy passed on April 21 of this year. He was a beagle I've had for six months, but he was also a senior dog. It really broke me to my core when he passed away really, because in those short amount of months I became super close to him and he became apart of my everyday life.
I can totally feel you , it's super hard to lose a pet.
But our pets are at peace now, and rest in peace to Rocky! 💕🥰

I feel your pain Harvey. I just had to say goodbye to my best friend Teddy of 13.5 years. He was born Nov. 25, 2010 and we said our hardest goodbye May 19th, 2024. It has been the hardest 2 weeks of my life. I came across an argument that losing a dog can be just as difficult or even harder than losing a human and I can say that it definitely can compare. Believe me I know I lost my 20 year old son back in 2019 and the pain of losing my first dog hurts just as much. The reason I think is because after a certain age our kids grow and have their own lives, whereas for our dogs, we are their lives. Humans love each other under certain conditions but dogs understand what it truly means to love unconditionally. And as much joy our fur babies bring to us while they are with us, when I reflect on all the great years we had together it brings back all that joy we shared together. But unfortunately grief is the price we pay for loving so the greater the grief the greater the love you shared with Rocky.
I sure feel very sorry about all your loses that is major heart break, I do agree on all you have said I have lost about all my family and our generation, and this hurts as much as any of them and in some insistence more. One of the hardest things I have had to face. Thank you.

I lost my precious Lola 2 years ago. Unfortunately I had to put her down to save any unnecessary suffering. She had spinal cancer and I vowed she would not suffer for my selfishness. I had my sweet baby for 16 WONDERFUL YEARS. Lola is and will always be in my broken heart until I die. I have lost relatives and never cried as hard as I did or mourned so long and still mourning. She is my world. So many many cherish memories. So many beautiful moments. Nobody can understand that type of loss that hasn't had that type of relationship with a dog. She is and always will be my best friend. The unconditional love she had to give was like no other. I felt so helpless and yet still questioning could I have done something different. I have a new baby named Casey that has helped me cope with my dreadful painful loss in so many ways. Sometimes I feel as though she has many of Lola's loving traits. Not comparing but just feeling so fortunate for her love and affection. Casey will never replace Lola but she is definitely helping me heat from my tragedy. Having to make that terrible choice to put her to sleep was the worst thing I have ever had to do in my life. I hope you find healing in your time of grief. Im so very very sorry for your loss of such a sweet sweet baby. Please understand that we are here for you and know that your pain is our pain too.

Watched it twice and cried each time. Recently one of outer little girls. Struggling to breathe near the end. Made it to 14. Spent the last day kissing her, petting her and gave her a nice bath. Took her to the vet and when it was over knew she was free from the struggle. Now she is in Heaven and we will see each other again.

Gut wrenching. My boy Bogie crossed the Rainbow Bridge in October 2013 after 15 years of pure love and joy he brought. His collar hangs on my bed post, and his ashes in a cedar box urn on my nightstand. He's always with me forever.
