- Bonnie was rescued from an animal shelter in Chicago Ridge, IL in 2009. She became a beloved member of the family. She crossed the rainbow bridge in February of 2023, but she left behind a treasure trove of memories through pictures and video. Here is a short story of her life, from her point of view.
It’s funny how some people say,” just a dog”. What those people don’t know is,they are angels that God loans us for a brief time. He knows we needed them. I look forward to the day I see my babies again in heaven one day. Bonnie was truly an angel.
A true statement, God Graces us with what is Unconditional Love in a Four legged friend. We can learn so very much from them all. Rip sweet Angel.

With all the animal cruelty in the world, it is truly special to watch a video of a beautiful pup that was so loved by her humans and still is loved! RIP beautiful Bonnie😢

I love that she KNEW she was loved, cherished and valued before she left us. Thank you for giving her the TLC she needed. She's in Heavenly Father's arms now.

I had to lay my 14-1/2 year old Nalu to rest just last month. Her mom was a rescue who was pregnant with a litter, of which Nalu was a part of. I've had many dogs to share my life with, but losing them doesn't get any easier. I swear, I miss them more and think about them all the time than family members who have passed on. A dog's love is unconditional and everlasting and I thank you for sharing Bonnie's life and legacy. May you find peace.
You know that your Bonnie is in Heaven, where she is perfect and perfectly happy. God bless you and keep you, and may He give you healing from this pain.

What a beautiful tribute to Bonnie. Bonnie sure did love her Dad. And Dad sure did love his girl. I loved how Bonnie let us know she is well and going off to have fun on that big playing field just beyond the Rainbow Bridge waiting for her name to be called by ...Dad. Oh, what a day that will be. I have a few up there waiting also, so I know your pain but I hold on to Bonnie's sweet encouraging words...I'm going to play. Love to your family.
What I beautiful pup, 14 years goes by so fast. Never enough time my beautiful jack Russell turned 3 and seemed like week, God I love him. Just wish he'd live forever, he and I deserve it. When you lost Bonnie the pain I can't imagine. I lost several pups in my life and they taught me love and compassion, which I wouldn't have know without them. I thank God everyday for my pups

Always heartbreaking to say goodbye to our companions but knowing we shared love and made each other happy is so rewarding and reminds us we found each other to share our love.
Thankyou for sharing this beautiful story of Bonnies life with you and your family. I understand how much you miss her. I too lost my girl Sarah at 18yrs and 10months old in feb 2018 and there has not been a day go by that i have not missed her. Then i lost my Ginger bob cat on the 21st of feb 2023 and he was 18 yr old turning 19 in april. it hurts so much when they pass over but think about it like this and this helps me to cope with the loss of both of them. Think about rainbow bridge and how lovely it must be but its a bridge and they go there to wait for you on the other side for you so you can walk together thru heavens gates. God looks after our fur babies and making sure they are happy and not sad and not sick and most all not in pain. i think thats a much nicer way to think about them and when you pass from this life you will get to see them again and spend the rest of eternity with them. go out side tonight and look up and when you see the biggest star thats Bonnie looking down at you and wagging her tail with a smile on her face. big hugs from Australia. xo

She reached a grand age. I feel for you and your family. I have a rescue who is now 15 and slowing down considerable. I dread the day........

There is no amount of money to compare to the love, companionship, cuddle buddy, walking and car riding plus many adventures and chaos that a dog can bring into one's life. In my eye's they are Angel's, Family, and brought me out of depression and for that I have been blessed to share my life with best friend Max my Paw Buddy. Beautiful. i lost my dog 1.5 months ago at the age of 12 and i am still sad but i know he had a great life and was greatly loved. He is pain free now. I'd like to think that he and Bonnie are together having a great time and waiting for us to join them again.
