Elektra is a 2005 superhero film directed by Rob Bowman. It is a spin-off from the 2003 film Daredevil, starring the Marvel Comics character Elektra Natchios (portrayed by Jennifer Garner). The story follows Elektra, an assassin who must protect a man and his prodigy daughter from another assassin who was hired by The Hand.

The upcoming hilarious stupidity is announced in the opening credits where here name is spelled ΣLΣKTRΛ where Σ is sigma pronounced 'S' and Λ is lambda pronounced 'L'. When your main character is supposed to be called Elektra but is announced as Slsktrl, you already know that this movie was written by someone having a stroke.
Someone either remembers their Greek alphabet studies, that CinemaSins made a similar observation, or both lol
"Having a stroke" implies the person was capable of doing better, but couldn't because of the stroke. No, the person just didn't give a flying fuck.
Nobody knows Greek anyways. Same goes for Russian with its backwards "N" and "R". Why care about such a small detail if the logo looks cool? It's another dumb comic book movie for a dumb audience who couldn't care less about spelling.

Also, from the TMNT origin story, the radioactive isotope that blinded Matt Murdock mutated the TMNT, too. And both Daredevil and the TMNT are from NYC and I love them! Facts! 💪
Shredder is way more intimidating than the bad guys in this movie

To be fair, Elektra wearing Red is kind of one of her trademarks. If anything, the Daredevil movie got that wrong.

Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa is such an underappreciated actor. His role as Shang Tsung is iconic, and he put on a great performance as Heihachi Mishima in the live-action Tekken movie, too.
he was a bad guy in an episode of Stargate SG-1 and he was awesome in that as well!

Raimi's Spider-Man movies were the only noteworthy one in the early 2000s.
you say... but not sure what you mean, marvel clearly had a good run. but now every comic is getting rewritten into political propaganda and the once doing it are so out of touch with reality they align more with the villains of the story than the heros.
So it ends up being movies that talk big game about doing good, but have no idea what being good means, just halfas stereotypical reason given in the last minute to try and justify the clearly narcissistic evil "heroes" defeating the villain that is not even sure on why they evil.
Its the computer grafisk that has come along way if anything. can't even remember the last good hero movie that's not marvel that i know of.
And everything else has gone to hell since then.

Mark Millar* is the comic writers name though, and as far as I'm aware I don't think he's ever had a _hand_ in Elektra comics. This movie has elements of The Redeemer storyline (which features Wolverine) written by Greg Rucka

@@arcanefury3666 no worries, I get names mixed up all the time... even keep saying Arron Darenofsky for example instead of Darren Aronofsky.
Both Millar and Miller could also have done some Elektra stuff too... they're both prolific writers with a huge catalogue and I'm never gonna claim to have read everything, especially about a character I had no interest in.

Remember seeing this movie in theaters, the only rememberable part from the film was the bad guy with the tattoos, that part was pretty cool seeing it on the big screen.

gottfer Blade 1 benefits from Snipes doing a pretty good job being cool despite the script. The character is fun to watch kill stuff, which is like bare minimum for a vampire hunter movie. As a Blade interpretation I have no idea how it holds up.
I have to admit, when he goes back to the studio, I'll miss this wall.

He was Odie in the Garfield review, he came back as Roger for Scooby-Doo 2 and Scooby-Doo the mystery begins, and he was Aquaman in the Justice League review. Makes sense, as both movies tried banking on the success of a sexy character but ended up being a boring action movie with pretentious exposition and very little action.

@@ryanangelastro504 If I'm being 100% honest, the Captain Marvel movie was significantly less cringey than I was expecting and led to believe. Sure, it had a couple of "sexism bad! misogyny bad!" moments, but overall those were just a few and very brief, and had very little impact on the rest of the movie. It wasn't a brilliant movie by any means, but I don't think it was as bad or annoying as many people made it out to be.
