What is the Japanese greeting when you turn the car on? Do you have one of those little JDM car bots hooked up? It’s cool, but I’ve never heard it in a Porsche before.
@@studid55 This car was sold new with headlights / turn signals / full gauges / conventional fuel tank with fuel level sending unit. It also has a 17-digit VIN unlike some other race-cars (later Ferrari Challenge for instance). There are a few GT3 Cup that have been road-registered after their racing days were done. In the case of this car, that was 2004. Upon import into the USA, I also road registered it in Washington. No 'conversion' required.
Why are you short shifting? Shifting between 5-6 K RPM? I mean its good for at least 8K RPM... If it's anything like my 02, 3.2 liter 6 speed Porsche Boxter S with Fabspeed Exhaust, CAI, IPD Plenum/TB, catless headers, Numeric shifter etc. It doesn't even activate "spicy mode" until about 5K RPM! Thus when Variocam kicks in??
Good question. I think this engine works a little differently as it's that Metzger engine. I've seen the vario cam on there but not in detail I need to look it up.
Good question. I was mainly driving it like a normal car - somewhat sensitive to not upsetting the neighbors. I have not had it out on the track but will try to get it out for a more aggressive drive if the weather clears. - Adam
@@studid55 I think you're right... I heard somewhere that the race cars are tuned differently causing "hot cam" to be constant, unlike the street cars tune for better fuel consumption and daily driving.
Beautiful Car 🙌🏼 Cheers

How hard is it to convert it from race to road use?
This is a road-licensed car.
I think what soto Moto meant to say is that he doesn't know

those wheels are amazing! is the color after market?
Agree this is a classic Motorsport design - yes, they have been refinished.
