No, it's rubbish. Don't make it go up in value anymore, thanks.
@@golf1dieselNo thank you.... Keep your rubbish words to yourself... It WILL go UP in Value...
Can we have more young Matt, old one can stay behind the camera! It was fun 🤣
I love just how accessible near 500 horsepower is now. When I was young the performance of a 911 Turbo was within fighting distance of only the most monstrous of cars. Now we're drag racing Skodas with that number and my daily is around that level with a car seat in the back.
Love my 996 tip turbo…….. not 100% sure, but I recall reading that the tip starts in second if it’s in Drive to avoid lunching it ??
I don’t make a habit of dragging mine……… but, in the mid ground it’s extraordinary 🎉😊
to think a skoda, A SKODA can be tuned to the performance of a porshe, mental
Why?
@@julianroberts5407 it’s like saying a fiat 500 reaches the level of a Porsche, you wouldn’t expect it, you wouldn’t think it’s possible because probably it isn’t and it’s rather shocking to see a Skoda on the level of a Porsche
@@jamesblade4349 not really, when you realise that Skoda has a motorsport history dating back to 1901
@@julianroberts5407 point taken and you are right, it’s just that Skoda isn’t exactly known for making super cars, there’s a niche who knows but most people focus on the key manufacturers, my point being that Skoda should start making more super cars or even standard cars which have more power and more design
Hi matt I owned a skoda superb 2.0 190 tdi dsg sel executive estate and I thought it was a phenomenal car ,I would genuinely rather have the new skoda sleeper than the porsche. It's hands down the much better car in my opinion. My god what a car 🚗 😍
Would love to see Yiannis Revuelto getting beaten by a sleeper car
Sam jumped the last race by a blink!!!! Put it at .25 speed and you can pause right as the Porsche squats and the hands are still up!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
Now, make a tune in this Metzger 3,6L engine and do the test again ;)
And that was an emotion 😃 It would be great to have both cars as a pair. During the week, it's comfortable to drive the Superb, and for the weekend, the 911 🤩
7:40 Quarter mile times
Mat’s scream, good editing by the team!
almost a slap on Porsche's face 😭
Only taken 20+years for Skoda to even start catching up
@@xkrzilla A tuned Skoda.
After 20 years? With a 20 year Porsche, put to drag with the new 992 Turbo s, and the Skoda is a tuned car. A fair race is a Skoda 105MB with a Porsche 964 turbo, both with rear engine, and slap this.
@@vasile3311 @vasile3311 It's not meant to be a fair race, it's meant to be a comparison of old gen super/sports car vs modern every day car, which with a tune stood a chance at highlighting how general car performance has evolved over the years.
Whatsmore, most of your wording is illiterate.
🤦🏻♂
The Matt scream at the finish line was just a beauty! But the "911 Turbo..." with the smile at 9:16 says everything about every petrolhead ever. We may be different and we may like different things, but that's one of the things that connects us all :D
I’d love to see two more launches from the Skoda, with nearly 200hp extra from standard, I guess two more launches is all its got.😂
I have a metallic green 2018 remapped skoda superb diesel which really shifts and is a great drive
Ferdynand Porshe learned technology from the Czechs. He also stole their ideas and solutions. Presenting it to the man with the mustache (Austrian watercolorist) as his own.
Smart guy ....
Like every SUV looks alike today, the trend back then was rear engine air-cooled cars. He didn't steal anything. It was just the time for that layout.
Austrian watercolorist was nice man. Ordered affordable cars for the German public imagine what he would think of VW group prices now
Thank you skoda for giving us a modern, easy to use, fair priced and practical fast car. VW and BMW really need to take notes here
Guys... It is called porschE !
There is an E at the end.
Please stop killing german art of engineering by mispronouncing the manufacturer. 😂
Yeah, everytime I hear them say it that way I always picture a covered wooden deck with wheels. 🤣
@@module79l28 Its really terrible and my inner monk is screaming every time i hear Porsssssch' 😂😂😂
Everytime a German dies somewhere when they say porsch 😂

How about sport mode in Skoda for a drag race and responsiveness for a rolling start?
The tuned 2.0 tsi will have worn crank and rod bearings at 100k while the Porsche is still performing great like it's new...
I guess u know nothing about 996 and early 997 engines and their maitenance…
@@gk7876 German quality
@@gk7876 This is a turbo literally one of the best engines porsche has ever made, the shitty engines were in the carreras
@@gk7876All engines need maintenance!
This video actually already proofs it, the old technology Porsche out performs the current Gen engine...
Further more, the TSI factory installed aluminium alloy bearings are not made to handle almost double of the stock horses 😄
I do like the TSI/TSFI engines, they are great... I have one myself.
How much would the skoda be with additions?
Both at equal prices on Parkers
You sat on launch control too long, need to anticipate the start and load just before launching, I have a sportline estate stage 2 doing those times, it hates too much preload launch control…
Great content, as usual.! ❤
