Probably behind two expansions, I bet this new one will have you beat/trap meph next two will be Baal resurrection and defeat and then 2 more for diablos resurrection and defeat
I’m ok with the release timeline they are taking with Diablo 4, where the whole thing isn’t released as a single release as D2 was. It allows them to invest into detail of the core of the game and lowered the bar for asset creation to get the servers live. I do wish that they would have been more brave and went ahead and made some assets for the prime evils for the initial release to confirm an eventual plan to extend the campaign to include those characters. I can see how doing so would make Lilith and the currently available content feel less fulfilling while the prime evils are introduced but not yet approachable. I wish they would take a different approach to the monetization. The DLC model is ok, but they might not even need it if the MTX wasn’t so absurd. POE has had huge expansions for over a decade off of MTX, some of which are not simple cosmetics but the community is still willing to accept because they aren’t direct player power. I’d rather buy more stash tabs and get the DLC for free, basically. I’m worried the player base will become fragmented with each gate-kept expansion, otherwise.
Honestly. I would absolutely LOVE if Diablo 4 went back to the church under Tristram and we pretty much get a Diablo 1 "remake" where we once again dungeon crawl our way down to hell and meet Diablo there.
During the game, when Nyrelle meets Donan for the first time in the Horadrc Vault, one of the readable books wrote by Lorath mention the Prime Evils manifestations: Mephisto as a Bloodied Wolf (as seen in the campaign), then it mentions a Wingless Bat and a One-eyed Owl, but we don't know which is Diablo and which is Baal. In a way, they could appear with their manifestations in Vessel of Hatred, acting similarly to Mephisto during the course of the story...
Love that tidbit! Yeah it will be interesting to see if any of those manifest - will have to keep my eyes peeled for any environmental easter eggs in the xpac
I thin Baal is probably the owl for two reasons. #1 in D2 you can loot one of his eyes. #2 a wingless bat sounds kinda terrifying and that’s more Diablos style.
Liliths death could also influence his presence. We don't know when a "daughter" dies if her essence could be absorbed by her father to reincarnete faster. This would also take her out of the pool which would be good for the story, I think - even though she was awesome.
It'd make sense to have this D2 order. Mephisto the puppeteer preparing Sanctuary for his brothers to come. Lilith was only a hurdle to overcome and to give his brothers time to appear again. Portal to Hell in Durance of Hate makes also sense and potential duo Mephisto + Diablo would make great opportunities to shake even the story, turning player even more onto Lilith's side. And then eventually when Mephisto and Diablo would be defeated, Baal again shows his face trying to destroy everything. At that point player would be mostly on Lilith's side and have new "demonic/nephalem" powers. Cherry on top would be battle with corrupted/fallen Inarius along the way to Baal. And I would love having the Angiris council incorporated once again...
I would assume that at some point the angels would have closed the portal to Hell in the Durance of Hate. Likely Tyrael would have done it while looking for the Black Soulstone.
@@Kmmlc Maybe that's the reason why Mephisto influenced Neyrelle to go back to Kurrast. She is very familiar with Horadric arts so she's maybe capable to reopen the portal.
D2 set the order. It always goes Hatred (Mephisto) then Terror (Diablo) then Destruction (Baal). I'd imagine there will be a tormented echo of Inarius coming as well somewhere in the mix, and they have to include Imperius at some point. In D2 it went Andariel, Duriel, Mephisto, Diablo Baal. I wouldn't be surprised if D4 follows something similar like Lilith, tormented Inarius, Mephisto, Diablo, Baal
@@dragonborn6347 Im not sure I understand the question, I just meant D2's order of bosses went Andariel, Duriel, Mephisto, Diablo, Baal... in D4 we already had Andariel, Duriel, Astaroth and Lilith. Wow, thank you for this. Some of my friends and I have actually been quite disappointed about the lack of prime evils in a diablo game. This lore makes total sense and actually changes my thought about Diablo4.
We already have the itinerary of Mephisto (the girl in fact), we have books stating her journey so it's safe to assume expansion will go in that way. We go Kurast to Skovo Island to Luth Golhein and presumbly ending back around Tristram. Which is almost the same journey of The first Wanderer backward.
Very well put together video. There was a key piece of lore missing though so long as they didn’t change it for Diablo 4 after the prime evi was defeated and you play through RoS the last thing Adria tells you is that she took steps and completed a task to ensure Diablo comes back. She was still faithful to him after his fall which leads me to believe he had a contingency in place in case he was defeated and much lined up with the lore of him being so cunning. If that’s the case he could very well already be back because Lilith was going to absorb her father’s essence to prepare for their coming meaning there wasn’t time to stop them before they would arrive.
They have to do something. If they don’t plan on having him back until D5 then you would have an entire game without an appearance of the title character.
At some point they need to reveal to what happen with tyrael and the heavenly host. Pretty sad ending of what they did to inarius and Lilith I wish it was more depth.
That’s a great observation! I wonder if they’ll play into that if they do the lore justice One thing that irked me about Diablo 3 is that Azmodan is the lord of sin - yet he played more of a lord of destruction role with his warring ways. I hope they course correct when he shows up
I agree. I also think there will be some expansions in between that deal with heaven and maybe some other random stuff. Skovos Isles and Xansei or whatever that place is called are due to being made in a numbered Diablo title.
I’d guess they’ll probably introduce him early but not kill him any time soon. There’s barely been any mention of him in game they gotta bring him in it’s his IP, and he’s been absent long enough. I bet he shows up in this xpac even if he doesn’t die for a few years.

Awesome video 😃 my one counterpoint- do you think there’s any likelihood that Mephisto is already at/close to full strength, and he chose to appear in his reforming state to manipulate Neyrelle into putting him into the soul stone?
That’s very possible - I feel like his degree of influence is possible due to him being close to respawning. He just needed a little more time before Lilith has a chance to absorb him fully - getting absorbed into the soulstone gave him that time
Nice video! In my opinion Blizzard it’s taking it slow. Proof is no paladin on 1st DLC. So I’m guessing next one will be Baal themed and the 3rd(and last?) will be the great finale with Didi as last boss.
Thank you! Yes I agree with you that they’re taking it slow. I have a strong feeling with the quarterly seasons and the yearly DLCs they will follow a method similar to Destiny 2
While I agree with this lore on a base level, I think Diablo is going to reform last because he was the main personality of the Prime Evil - I think he really stunted himself in the reformation process. I have no doubt being the namesake of the game he is going to not only reform last, but be extremely difficult and powerful when he does return. He's be thwarted Thrice now, and I don't think his 4th attempt is going to be a flop, I think he learned enough about what we do and to not trust anyone after how he played the long game with Leah as his host. I think when the Lord of Terror returns we are going to lose, handily and badly. Most of the last expansion for 4 is going to see us clawing back and barely being able to do anything against Diablo until he does something in his over-zealousness that allows us to defeat him. I have no doubt it's going to end with all the Evils back in soulstones or otherwise their spirits fleeing, again. They're just never truly defeated.
This is a great take - Diablo is said to be the most powerful of the 3 since he is the only being that doesn’t feel fear. Excited to see how that plays out in the xpacks to come
Diablo is trying out different pumps at the local shoe store down the road from the Tristram Cathedral, and Baal is selling crystals to homeopaths in his “Grannies” antique shop in some backwater town no one knows about. Someone mentioned it but I didn't see who it was but.. the idea we've already encountered Diablo and Baal is cool or the idea of a Prime evil basically subertly interacting with others on sanctuary
Very possible - like Mephisto disguised himself as a wolf, one of them is disguised as a wingless bat and the other a one eyed owl - I just dont remember who is who
I think you’re mostly right but I believe there is a power differential meaning the prime evils fully manifest at different rates and i think i read that Diablo is strongest of the three so he’ll manifest last. Tristram is the spot cant see him emerging anywhere else.
You are absolutely correct. I'll quote Deckard Cain: "Diablo, Lord of Terror, is the most dangerous of them because he is incapable of feeling fear." 💪
I wonder if the rest of Lesser Evils will appear in the game as non-DLC events, since Andariel and Duriel are already back and active. Or maybe it has nothing to do with their rangs, but the amount of corruption they've managed to achive so far. Thus who knows what really is happening in Westmarch.
Andariel and Duriel are dead again if we follow the lore since we killed them during the D4 campaign. So their essence probably has no form yet. So it might take like 10 years for a small sliver of their essence to form for the lesser evils. While for the prime evils probably more as after the events of ROS which is 50 years later, we can see Memphisto's head. Which might mean it's also the same for Baal and Diablo.
@@Dan-zm5ik Ye, I was thinking about Azmodan and Belial. If the pattern for LE and PE to reborn is just time- related, then they should be already alive aswell. Would be nice to fight them once again, but not in a seperate DLC ;d
Yeah I’m curious about that as well. I can see Belial being close to Mephisto since they’re both smart and conniving. Azmodan making a showing with Baal would fit too - although I hope they reimagine him a little like they did Andariel. He looked like a cartoony pit demon from WoW
Belial coming back would be LIT... Favorite of the lesser evil! 🙏 I for some strange reason always favored baal when it comes to prime evils. I literally played Diablo immortal (I know, yuck) just to the point where you fight baal in another scenery. After that, uninstalled. Overall, just the experience of seeing him updated a bit was very nice. Other than that, DI is poo ...
They are leaning on marketing based on the name. If they had named it Sanctuary, that would have required that the potential customer would have to be slightly aware of the IP. Since they made the name Diablo 4, there are going to be the random people looking for a new game and be, "Oh, it's part of a popular series that I've heard people talking about in the past" and choose based on that. People need to remember that we are all hard-core gamers here (we are literally commenting on a UA-cam video based on a video game) so Blizz knows that we would already know. It's the casual that literally just says, "I'm bored so I'm going to go out and buy some random game that can entertain me" that Blizz was shooting for and name recognition helps a lot with that.
Good thing the Evils trapped in soulstones always stop the people who are holding them from thinking 'Why don't I just put this in a safe and drop it in the middle of the ocean?', eh?! Maybe someone eventually does, and that's why we have The Bermuda Tirangle. Not to mention Anglerfish. It must have taken a Primordial Evil to design those things!
I feel that I am totally the only one that is bored with the fact that evil "respawn". Don't get me wrong but passing through D2 was awesome, even D3 was great, new story, new evils. Ofc now we had Lilith but it seemed like she was not really the main plot. As I said, it was awesome meeting Meph, Duriel, Baal in D2 but I felt bored seeing them again. Just like my effort in D2 was for nothing. Just to see them again in better graphics quality lol. Following that nonsense, Diablo can be neverending story if we can meet the same evil each new title.
I agree with you - Im curious if they will ever investigate other planes of existence like the void or start involving the celestial guardians like Trag’Oul
Tristram is a much more likely place for Diablo to emerge than the Durance of Hate. The council is already in D4 as of season 5...obviously foreshadowing Meph in the expansion.
Blizzard will find a way to drop the ball when it comes to diablo 4's story the longer the game goes on. I liked your video, looking forward to more. :)
All of the prime evils are merged in D3, but it is Diablo in complete control. Hence, why the game calls he/she Diablo. Also, Nyrelle didn't travel to the western continent with Mephisto's soulstone. SHe travelled to the southern end of the eastern continent, where Kurast is. Kurast is the southern part of the map in D4 that isn't unlocked yet.
@@therealDonMac hope you’re ready for they them Mephisto 🤣🤣 they missed a huge opportunity not giving “The Prime Evil” 7 heads. Could have had us fight a She/he Diablo then on death his soul takes control of the black soulstone and bam 7 headed prime evil

Yes, but I think Baal has the most impressive feats/victories in the whole series. The guy/demon single handedly curb stomped most of Sanctuary in D2:LoD and basically put a devastating wound and stalemated everyone at the end of the game. Kind of Laughing the whole time as well......Yea, if you couldn't tell, he's my favorite!! You have to love the playful type of demons!! Always good to see one with a bit of humor.
They should be around now - I wouldn’t be surprised if they make an appearance soon. However I hope they don’t just spawn as some silent one-off boss like Andariel and Duriel were, since they had massive roles in D3
Have we even stepped foot in hell at all in Diablo 4? They really missed the mark for the entirety of Diablo 4 so far. Doesn't look like it's getting better any time soon.
Since last dlc was basically preparing for Mephisto and fight his dog form. The next dlc will be the finish of Mephisto and intro to Diablo so expect 5 more expansions $60USD each
They went woke and are in transition rn having a treasure goblin gathering with sparkle pony’s and telitubbies didn’t you know .. after d2 the pc culture took over and furries shit on the og blizz north franchise duh

I for some strange reason always favored baal when it comes to prime evils.
I literally played Diablo immortal (I know, yuck) just to the point where you fight baal in another scenery. After that, uninstalled.
Overall, just the experience of seeing him updated a bit was very nice. Other than that, DI is poo ...
If you don't see Baal in a game, it's ok. But no Diablo in a Diablo game?
They are leaning on marketing based on the name. If they had named it Sanctuary, that would have required that the potential customer would have to be slightly aware of the IP. Since they made the name Diablo 4, there are going to be the random people looking for a new game and be, "Oh, it's part of a popular series that I've heard people talking about in the past" and choose based on that.
People need to remember that we are all hard-core gamers here (we are literally commenting on a UA-cam video based on a video game) so Blizz knows that we would already know. It's the casual that literally just says, "I'm bored so I'm going to go out and buy some random game that can entertain me" that Blizz was shooting for and name recognition helps a lot with that.
great stuff!
Thanks!
Oh yeah, this one doing numbers
Awww yeee
Awesome video man, subbed
Appreciate it!
I just want my cow level
Good thing the Evils trapped in soulstones always stop the people who are holding them from thinking 'Why don't I just put this in a safe and drop it in the middle of the ocean?', eh?!
Maybe someone eventually does, and that's why we have The Bermuda Tirangle.
Not to mention Anglerfish. It must have taken a Primordial Evil to design those things!
2:00 About the blessings
Baal blesses you instantly
Diablo takes a little more time to bless you
Mephisto tests you before he will bless you
Good observation !
Don't worry for only $100 each you can experience them both in the coming years.
Nice content bro!
Please make a video explaining why there are no paladins anymore.
Unfortunately so - I’m hoping there will be some focus in future DLCs
Player is Diablo. You play as the child of the templar and enchantress from D3, who were tainted, or something. Calling it now.
Watch my character get renamed from LoatheBurger to Korena
Diablo in Heels 😂
welp, apparently we still aren`t fighting Mafisto in VoH
Is the Diablo 4 story good? ive heard mixed reviews about the game but is the story good
It’s the best storytelling in a Diablo game production wise - not perfect but I still feel like the campaign was the best part of the game
Mephisto is their 'mage', he'll bring them back.
I thought the hell gate under travincal lead to Baal domain. We fought Diablo but it wasn't his domain. I ma wrong ?
You are right - Baal’s realm of destruction housed the hellforge. Im not sure if the chaos sanctuary is also Baal’s?
Good question, I thought it was all Baal's but it's strange that there is a specific ritual to summon diablo specifically in the sanctuary.
Good thought
the diablo escaped from the blizzard and found that the ship was sinking and he could not swim
🤣🤣 thanks for the laugh
All of the prime evils are merged in D3, but it is Diablo in complete control. Hence, why the game calls he/she Diablo. Also, Nyrelle didn't travel to the western continent with Mephisto's soulstone. SHe travelled to the southern end of the eastern continent, where Kurast is. Kurast is the southern part of the map in D4 that isn't unlocked yet.
New Meta - Diablo is non-binary
@@loatheburger LOL, Diablo was definitetly They/Them in D3.
@@spindoggytheexplorer2915 That wouldn't have left us as many expansions for D4 that way. Would have been a cool take though.
Your editing needs work but definitely a cool little video man keep it up!
Thanks brother! This UA-cam journey is my first time editing videos and trying to improve little by little - any notable spots that are janky?
Going in order of deaths its Mephisto, Diablo, then Baal. Seems like theyre possibly sticking to it?
where is baal where is diablo where is cains book. where is urshi that used to upgrade my gems.where is zoltan kulle... where is the nephalem?
is everyone nephalem now?????
just WHERE THE FUCK IS THE LORE????????
Alot of questions to be answered- atleast it gives me content 😛
We indeed, did not, have Mephisto to look forward to.
Diablo is more powerful than both his brothers. He will probably take longer to come back
Yes, but I think Baal has the most impressive feats/victories in the whole series. Always good to see one with a bit of humor.
how about the other 2 lesser evils?
They should be around now - I wouldn’t be surprised if they make an appearance soon. However I hope they don’t just spawn as some silent one-off boss like Andariel and Duriel were, since they had massive roles in D3
Brothers reunion 😊
i don't think any entities have been killed as much as Diablo and Baal have. Eventually thats going to leave a mark.
Only balkans knows that Mephisto's name is actually Shefisto 💀
Have we even stepped foot in hell at all in Diablo 4? They really missed the mark for the entirety of Diablo 4 so far. Doesn't look like it's getting better any time soon.
We did yeah - at the last act. For barely anytime
I expect Diablo & Baal will be back in the 2nd and 3rd expansion pack.
If D3's Diablo is a combination of the lesser evils and the other prime evils then they better find a way to make Diablo interesting this time.
Yeah agreed. They had massive power creep in Diablo 3. I would prefer they continue introducing novel enemies IMO
Hiding in future expansions.
Diablo and Baal went to star in a real Diablo game!
Technically, it was a reincarnation of Tathamet. I wonder what will happen with Lilith when she 'respawns'.
where are azmodan and belial.
How about trapped behind multiple DLC?
Dude Diablo needs to bring back Lazarus to function like an antichrist type figure.
When are we going to start putting angels inside of soul stones?
What was the point of smashing mephistos soul stone in d2?
Since last dlc was basically preparing for Mephisto and fight his dog form. The next dlc will be the finish of Mephisto and intro to Diablo so expect 5 more expansions $60USD each
Bro are you related to Ralph Fiennes?
Haha - I am not but my uncle is his doppelgänger
Diablo will for sure be the Final boss... I think the next expansion will be Baals...
hiidng in expansion so it can be monetized
They went woke and are in transition rn having a treasure goblin gathering with sparkle pony’s and telitubbies didn’t you know .. after d2 the pc culture took over and furries shit on the og blizz north franchise duh
They are secretly play testing PoE2, but don't tell anyone i told you
🤣😂
Considering they both died after mephisto still regenerating duuuuuyyh
Diablo is in act 4 in d2r :D
Fitting username 🤣
More annoyingly what happened to the Nephilim that ended uber diablo? As far as I know nothing has been said about them, some people in game yell "I know what you are" when running by. But everyone are Nephilim though
I made a video just on that topic:
ua-cam.com/video/21YWIPrlrUk/v-deo.htmlsi=pZUAc74S9FI47pFS
How else do you think Microsoft is going to print money by drawing out the Diablo 4 franchise at least 3 more times with Mephisto, Diablo, and Baal expansions.
They're hiding in the second and third expansions
Somehow I didn't like how the greater evils do blessings! Evil doesn't bless it corrupts! It's stupid writing.
Great point
