Reveal Materials with Vertex Maps | Redshift + Cinema 4D | Tutorial

- Vertex Map in conjunction with Fields is a powerful tool to reveal shaders in Redshift or change transparency while having the ability to control everything with one field. It is really up to you what you make it.
This tutorial is greatly inspired by Ryan McCauley who explains this in further detail in his course on LinkedIn

Oh this helped me in so many ways. Thank you. I often make things more complex than they need to be. This is an excellent approach.
Hh me too. Thanks for letting me know 🙌
Exactly what I needed. For anyone using Cinema 4D 2024, I used the Vertex Attribute Node in the materials editor as I could not find C4D Vertex Map and dropped the vertex map into Attribute Name under the General tab.
Such an easy to follow and useful tutorial, thanks!
Thank you ✨
Thank a lot bro, Hope u have so much health and keep going your work!
Thank you 🥰
hands down best c4d channel
😍🥲🥲
Very simple and effective tutorial! Thanks!
Thaaanks !!!!
Thanks for all your tutorials!
Glad you like them!
sooo useful!! thank you for sharing this!!
Thank you 🙌
Thanks dude, very helpful.
can't thank u enough 🙏
Your on camera lighting is really great bro.
Hh..Thanks so much 🎉
Nice one Stephan, thanks! 👌
Glad you liked it! Thanks
Amazing.
Thanks Imre 🙌
I wish someone would make a video about this without using an external renderer
very good!
Thanks! 👌
Well done 👍
Thanks, MJ
Thank you Stepan
You are welcome Jason. Thanks for the comment 😌🙌
Thx for tut)
Thanks 🙏👋
Great tutorial! thank you so much, but you know a way to change multiple times the same material? per exaple withe to gold and then gold to other color?
Yes i think the Node is called shader switch
Thank you for this very useful tutorial!
Hey thanks so much I have streamed yesterday something similar
big thanks wow
Thank you
Great tut thanks. How'd you get your IPR to update frame by frame? The redshift IPR only shows the vertex map changing if I manually click refresh button.
I know that you can create animation keyframe for the beginning and then like a slight movement 0.001 for keyframe forthe end and this will update the viewport automatically hope this makes sense 😀
@@StepanHKA Yeah it makes perfect sense. It works actually haha. You're the real MVP man thanks
Great explanation, works really good. But since the new update (S26 and Redshift 3.5) the Vertex Map node has disappeared. Do you have any idea how to do this in the updated version? Thanks :)
I remember someone mentioning that too. I think it was resolved on one of Maxon Training YT channel. I will update the video thank you for bringing that up 🙌👌
@@StepanHKA Thanks for the response, good to know. Can't wait for the video. Keep up the good work :)
@@StepanHKA hello is there an update?
Just updating finally found it. ua-cam.com/video/pd0w6vde2C0/v-deo.html
Thanks so much for posting this 🙏🙏🙏
yo yo yo, I really need to start learing the Blender software
how is the blender journey? :D Did you opened it yet?
Hey my problem is I want the material and its roughness, displacement etc... replaced? For instance I have a rock and I want the rock to transform into a Green Balloon. So far this is just blending the green colors with the rock material and textures.
Yes use more vertex maps one for the rock and one for the ballon. I can make tutorial or find me on discord I will show you
@@StepanHKA BRO PLEASE MAKE A TUTORIAL! I am on redshift by the way.
