this will be very useful in animation , you explain it well . i was just asking whats happen to you , you took long to post a new video im one of many who would like to see a video every week at least :p
this works great some of the time -- not being able to get rid of the gitteriness it kind of a problem, there are many cases in which you cant just make the animation take longer, so kinda sucks if that's the only fix
I see what you are doing, but how do you know to switch from None to Average, and how do you learn more about the relationships to the items in the layers? Never in a million years would I know to look there or how to even figure that out.
Trying this with R21 & the imprint doesn't stay as the ball moves so there's no trace of the letter - auto settings may have changed - any ideas how to delay the imprint more?
hey man. I had the same issue but it seems that I found a way to make it work. Go to Displacer Falloff and add a Decay. Give it some 85% Strength. This should work!
R21 here and everything went smooth. For me, what I missed was adding the white color on the Shading Tab and then adding the Vertex Tag to the Falloff of the Displacer modifier.
Top tutorial. Thank you!
thanks, great tutorial, learned a lot
thanks so much for your very useful teaching

Dude, you look like you'll burst out laughing at any moment! :D I love your attitude and way of teaching, keep it this way.
Man pls, how do you make the effect last longer on the plane ? Thanks so much for this !:) :)
NICE tutorial.... question: How would you make the impression path STAY? Instead of slightly going away and returning to normal?
Select the Freeze Modifier and in the Layer tab change Mode from Average to None
great- please continue my friend
Nice tutorial Sean! Can you embellish on this by adding a texture on the plane and then another texture driven within the effect of the vertex map?
awesome as always...
Hey thanks for your videos i really love your channel cuz i learned alot from you , all love from Libya ❤
so nice ! what about the texture you used?

Great tutorial as usual. :)
But what is the point of using vertex map if you can use the same field instantly in the displacer?
I deleted the freeze layer altogether and nothing changed...animation still going smoothly !
Is it possible to let it be written with out fading out on the material?
Материал просто огонь)
Nice!
Is there a way to achieve something similar to this in R19?
how did you put the material on the Plane so that without distortion?
what mac do you use for Cinema 4D and what renderer do you use?
cool
Thor is that you???
