Thanks for sharing this info, Scotty! I had no idea that this what it was. We had a piggy that we rescued from a pet shop years ago that seem to have had it. Somehow it went away it once we started caring for him and providing him better food and his own cage.
@@ScottysAnimals hi Scotty thank you for you answer. She has pretty nasty ringworm/fungus and I don't know how often should I bath her. I give her also antifungal cream. But it spreads anyway
I adopted a piggie from the shelter with fur missing around his eye and now i think its ringworm. Its spread to his ear just like the piggie here. I've given him baths in a dandruff shampoo couple times and tried putting cream on him but its right on his eye and it gets in his eye. Not sure what to do
What if the guinea pig licks the cream, can it be harmful? My girl has it near her back right thigh (within self cleaning reach) and I'm worried if she licks the cream.
Hi scotty, My pig has ringworm on his nose. Have you tried ring out or do you think this could make things worse for my piggy ? The anti fungal I bought doesn't seem to be doing much.
I would do the cream treatment for at least a week possibly longer and making sure to do three baths. The first bath when ringworm is discovered followed by another bath three or so Days later followed by a third bath one week after the second bath. I would do cream everyday during this time on the affected areas
I use a shampoo for rodents that has coconut oil and other natural stuff in it. I think coconut oil is antifungal but it prob isn't as effective for removing fungus.
