Our 3 piggies passed away this spring very unexpectedly and I swore I would never have guinea pigs again because it was too sad... but seeing these spunky little babies reminded me of the happy times and I suddenly started to warm up to the idea of having piggies again sometime in the future

Did u get all three at same time? I have watched a lot of guinea piggies videos and now is stuck with the idea to get three. Do you regret getting them?
@@sweet_citrus I got two first and one more a year later. I absolutely do not regret getting them, they were lovely to have, even though the last year with them was very difficult, we had one piggie whom we had to medicate daily. So be prepared that they're very susceptible to illnesses, but the joy they bring far outweigh the bad times ❤️😊

Aww, they're so cute. I like how Phoebe's exploring already, and that the older girls don't seem to mind the babies much. Willow even looked like she was trying to shield them. I hope they will be more relaxed soon.
Thank you, they are getting much better already - I must admit I was very stressed worrying about them being so shy, even though I knew it was quite normal!
@@SqueakDreams You're welcome. I can understand why you were worried; not eating and not drinking is a big deal, especially for little piggies. And it's the mark of a good owner. I'm sure they'll realize what they've lucked into, and maybe Willow or Lyra can convince them to sit still for a pet or two.
I totally agree with you that putting the sisters in with your two adult guinea pigs helped them relax and eat. Often it is possible to introduce babies right away as than they start eating faster. The babies know that in the group they are lowest in ranking and they do not mind it.

@@SqueakDreams I'm so sorry I'm late to the game! My you tube is not giving me notifications the last few days. :-( I am so happy for you having new babies! I do remember you bringing Willow, Twiglet, and Lyra home. I was so excited for you! Soon they will be ready to live a life of Squeak Dreams Luxury with their wonderful piggy parent. You are such a wonderful mom to the piggies. Lucky you but luckier them to be in such a happy, compassionate, sweet home full of colorful fleece and bountiful nom noms!

Hi, we’ve just got two Guinea Pigs. We’ve never had them before, so it’s all new to us! Can you recommend a water bottle. The one we have leaks. Love you’re videos by the way, I’ve been watching them all, super helpful when you are new to guinea pigs!

May be why Roxy was slow to eat hay was being use to the syringe to eat.
Yes although they start eating sold food in a matter of days after being born 😊 Roxy is now getting much braver once food makes an appearance! 😁

Hi. Where do you get liners for cage from. I just got my first 2 boy guinea pigs this week.

Great video Sarah. Brilliant timing for us as we're getting our very first two GPs soon. Do you normally need to vaccinate them? And also I can't seem to find any obvious pet insurance for them... Needed? (we're in the UK too). Thanks
Thank you Sam - I replied in more detail to your other comment :) No vaccinations necessary and pet insurance personal choice, might depend on the exotics vets available and what their charges are.

Hi does anyone know any good price fleece liners cause I really need some decent ones that aren't above 30 pounds
I just wanted to warn and say one of my female pigs lived 10 years and we got her as an adult the other lived twelve witch is insane to me because the average life span is up to 8 so be very careful and aware that you need to be prepared to have a long-lived pet .
