This one should be bookmarked for anyone attempting to bloom! Hello kind talented sir! I had to revisit this video again for "blow support 101". Such a wonderful gifted artist and teacher. I appreciate you. Jodie
I think I have watched every one of you video's 2 to 3 times. You are a good teacher and has encouraged me to do the course and continue my journey with paint pouring Thank you
Thank you 🙏, I am incredibly grateful to you, for this video. I have been struggling with the blow out of the Blooms for a while now, and I have felt very disheartened. You have given me a better understanding of the technique, and I am feeling hopeful. Thank you ♥️🙏
Brilliant, as I am having problems with my lungs, was brilliant you used the worlds smallest blower, i have just purchased, but also realised that I do not put enough paint on , thank you for your videos
Thanks buddy, that was the best demonstration I’ve seen so far on the blowing technique. I know now exactly what I was doing wrong and now I’m going out to the studio to blow for a couple of hours. 👍❤️😁look for results on Facebook.
I do this the same way you do. I can only put my head to one side but I still blow and scoop the same way lifting my head. I thought I was weird but I was just compensating for what my neck can’t do. My hands don’t work right now which is why I stopped being a glass artist. Cutting glass into shapes and stretching lead is hard on hands. The first time I used my worlds smallest leaf blower I dropped it into a pot of white paint. It still works. I find it helpful on bigger canvases. Thank you. ❤️
Excellent video Mitchell!!! I finally can put the right amount of pillow paint on my tiles, use the WSB at the right height and so many other helpful tips!! Thanks for all you do!!
Excellent video! You are a natural at instruction. It makes me a little crazy how easy you make it look, lol. Your pillow looks like melted marshmallow and your paints are much ticker than mine. I think I’ll try making everything thicker and see if it helps me create more defined cells. Thanks for all you do!!!!
That was extremely helpful. Especially measuring out the pillow paint. That was useful. I struggle with pouring enough pillow on. And the use of the straw on the CA that was concentrated in the middle. I use to try and blow it off but your way was more helpful! ❤️ TY
Such an informative video! Just love the way you explain! It is so easy to follow. Blow techniques so well explained! The part with the mini blower was also very good! Very helpful! Looking forward to seeing many more videos from you Mitchell! 👍
Thanks, you so much for this video. I have been struggling with my mini blower for months. I know it takes practice, practice, practice. Luv your videos and the help you give everyone and including myself. Have been doing this for about a year now and hoping to send some photos for comments. I will follow your advice on how much pillow paint to put on my 4" tiles. I don't think I was using enough.
Thank you so much for your explanations, I have realised that I am using too much paint and my blow is crap🤭i am being too rushed and blowing too hard.
I just used it as pillow! I keep all the pink coloured paint separate to the blue etc and then use that for other pink or blue or whatever colour based items I want to make. Black all just goes back into black until it gets too sparkly and I stop using it for pillow
Can we talk about the box you have how did you meal that what is it made from My back needs this please Also is your cell activator 3/1 ? Where do you get the cork for the backs of your tiles also and your cake spinner I did a spinner like Shelee’s but because of the hollow with the edge All the paint gets trapped I’m poor so need to keep my paint Thank you
Keep an eye out here for sure! I've just wrapped up a resin video showing how I resin those larger pieces, and once that whole saga is over and the pieces are dry and out of my way I'll do some more large canvas artworks :) The pieces I've got on here at the moment are all 12"+ but swipes so blooms are on the cards next :)
Awesome tutorial and great results. Very curious though as to where you got your hinged containers and the tray they sit in? Very smart way of making sure your cups can't be knocked over. Keep up the good work. TIA
Yep absolutely :) the amount of CA is very little, so it shouldn't affect the other paints. However it does reach a point where there's too much of everything else mixed in and it stops being effective as pillow
so far I have seen two videos of your own youtube channel and they are so great and informative and I am so grateful for them. Are there others that I missed?
Only the ones on the channel have been released for now with new ones scheduled every Monday :) one week will be a tutorial style video and the other will be a painting video :)
Can anyone help where can I find that little Fan !!! Any link ? Thanks for video it explains so clearly finally I think I understand how I should blow correctly
I was planning to do canvas pours , but just found you , doing tiles.... WOW. But I have a question ... How do you keep the acrylic paint , from peeling off the tiles ? Is there a product in the pillow paint ?
Yes that's right! I keep like colours together (so white base with red or pink colours etc) and then use that for a pillow when I do similar coloured pours.
I have a video dedicated to showing how I made it :) It's a custom platform that I built. Search my channel for the video titled 'How to Build a Spinner'
It's a cake turntable that I modified with a custom box and silicone baking mat. Just makes it easier to control, spin, scrape and raises the height to one that I find comfortable.
The CA in that bottle is some from November, some from Feb and some from this week haha! I just keep topping it up and as long as its working I'll keep using it lol. But definitely fresher is better
Correct, I don't thin my white house paint at all and often need to thicken it up a little. The weather does affect this too. If your house paint is so thick that it will not flow you can add a little bit of water or flow extender to thin it out
@@rainandpours sorry I was extremely tired when I wrote that snippy comment I was just trying to figure out which brand it was because there's a couple Brands but people are starting to make accessories for the ends but from only the one that Westminster or something. It was a dumb question if you're right there all over Google

You are making great videos Mitch. I am finding them very helpful. Thank you. 🤩

GREAT JOB Mitchell! You are going to do so well. Thank you for your time and expertise! 💕
Thank you, such a talent !!!! I always thought you were Canadian, love the Australian accent...definitely need to visit one day 🤗

Great Video - thank you!! I would love to see how to do large surfaces - I don't do coasters most of mine are at least 12" rounds.

I got a few sets from Target but they can be found on Amazon and eBay as well
Love the colours! Your paints look thicker than mine. Do you have a video on mixing paints?
Yes check out the other videos on my Chanel :)
@@rainandpours you have so many videos. I couldn’t find it. Is there a video #? If not, I will keep looking
So you can use the leftover paint with the CA in it for a pillow?
Yep absolutely :) the amount of CA is very little, so it shouldn't affect the other paints. However it does reach a point where there's too much of everything else mixed in and it stops being effective as pillow

Mesmerising Mitch, might check out you course. What part Aust you at. Cheers Shirley
I'm in Sydney :)
Can anyone help where can I find that little Fan !!! Any link ? Thanks for video it explains so clearly finally I think I understand how I should blow correctly
Search for the world's smallest blower on the Google's! :D Amazon and eBay usually have them as well :)
As usual, I love your videos. Is there a reason you scrape the excess paint off after each spin?
Yep! I use the scraped paints for pillow next time I pour :) Most of the time the black pillow paint I use is a combination of all other scraped pours
I was planning to do canvas pours , but just found you , doing tiles.... WOW. But I have a question ... How do you keep the acrylic paint , from peeling off the tiles ? Is there a product in the pillow paint ?
I've never had them peel unless I soak them in water and do it intentionally :)
Very helpful, thank you! Did I hear correctly that you save the paint you scrape off to use a your pillow later?
Yes that's right! I keep like colours together (so white base with red or pink colours etc) and then use that for a pillow when I do similar coloured pours.
Mitch, thanks for the derailed instructions. What is the ratio of the CA that you use?
I don't use ratios I measure by sight :)
Love it. What is the big box made of on the top of the spinner?
I have a video dedicated to showing how I made it :) It's a custom platform that I built. Search my channel for the video titled 'How to Build a Spinner'
What is your tile sitting on please? . Very helpful. Thank you.
It's a cake turntable that I modified with a custom box and silicone baking mat. Just makes it easier to control, spin, scrape and raises the height to one that I find comfortable.
Thanks Mitchell, very informative. I noticed you keep your ca in a bottle. How long does it last in an airtight container?
The CA in that bottle is some from November, some from Feb and some from this week haha! I just keep topping it up and as long as its working I'll keep using it lol. But definitely fresher is better
Thanks for that 👍
What is the name of your little air blower please?
The world's smallest blower
Do you water down the housepaint out of the can?
Hi Desiree, no I don't water mine down at all. My paints are usually a little thin so I sometimes need to thicken them up
@@rainandpours i meant the housepaint, to put in the pillow(base) my housepaint is thick, hard to flow
@@rainandpours i am new in pouring thats why i ask alot around
Correct, I don't thin my white house paint at all and often need to thicken it up a little. The weather does affect this too. If your house paint is so thick that it will not flow you can add a little bit of water or flow extender to thin it out
There's no link to get the blower
They are available in several locations, a quick Google search will show you where you can get them
