***** Glad to see you guys are still doing the thing. Whether players want to admit it or not, you guys blazed a trail for a lot of people in the sport. For example, most of my guys and I are veterans, and serious shooters - and didn't necessarily look at the sport as the medium it is. We've been pretty successful. You guys do a hell of a job, I hope to see more of this.
Absolutely, they did. If for nothing else, they have my respect for that alone. Although, it was somewhat funny when my team acquired a new sponsor awhile back, and they explicitly forbid us from repelling at evens, or breaching anything that wasn't specifically designated to be breached. LOL. In my opinion, the idea of thinking outside to box, and using the resources that are acquirable to a team for the purpose of winning is a great thing. I'm really somewhat confused as to why people get so butthurt about it. I mean, I suppose we actually do know why (lets be honest, there are a lot of jealous bitches out there for *****), but that doesn't mean it's not totally conducive to what MilSim, and Airsoft as a medium, is all about.
Aaron Campbell I think you are continuing a trend that is the whole issue, people talking on the internet about things they have no experience of. You shouldn't discuss things you don't know about. You have never met us so you have no basis about our attitude. People who have interacted with us will have both positive and negative experiences as that is the nature of a competitive activity, but for those who know us on a personal level or conducted play with us, I think they would give a drastically different perception then the one you are perpetuating based solely on hear-say.
thentantt i would never understand why people hate GMRs so much. personally i love em so much. what they do, how they do it, and how good they are at it. kudos.
It is because of fake GMR. I had many and several experience with fake GMR. They cheat a lot, over shoots, curse, etc. Those influence players to think GMR is bad, without know what is GMR. GMR is not the probelm, people who fake themselves are probelm.
Because try-hard airsoft is cringy as fuck. You aren't a soldier, you aren't a warrior, you aren't a unit. You're a bunch of dudes larping around in MARPAT. If you treat airsoft like the GAME that it is, nobody has any issues. Pretending to be Rangers is something you should outgrow in middle school. Its even more embarrassing because all the dudes in GMR are military age and could easily join the real armed forces, with real guns, real tactics, & real combat.
I guess while I I do gotta say it looks cool, I definitely agree with the second reason they use it. When my team does practice sessions involving room clearing I run a standard length m4 barrel as opposed to my mk18. It reminds me not to flag corners, among other things. If you overcompensate in training, it’s easier to preform under pressure
I run a modified lantac QD for mine. There is alot you can do with those cans if you think about it. I have made quick change cores For mine. I have one thats foam filled at the end and a short barreled tracer unit behind it with a press button switch now i can use tracer and keep the squirrel box quieter. No the tracer isnt 100% every time since some times the bb doesnt activate the wheel enough to get a full rotation but 97%98% of the time it works. Then i can add a boreup barrel instead if i want a little better accuracy and higher FPS. With the PTW style it does give you a little edge on par with HPA. And if the event allows it ill keep it in a pistol pouch so i can switch if needed. I run a FTS 3X so sometimes if i want to make sure i can see further out in better detail its 2 quick clicks and im running overwatch with somethin thats as accurate as my mk12 dmr stw. thats 4 inches shorter and almost 3lbs lighter. And yeah everyone loves the coolness of a can
Uh thanks? What's hilarious about an extremely violent and physical encounter where someone is trying to shoot your grill off? Nothing is funny about 400 FPS with .25 bb in the teeth with no face mask, maybe we understand the severity of the situation we wade into and what to have the best chance of outcome safely. But yeah this "hobby" isn't casual for us. Have a blessed day.
***** Its cool that you have spent so much time into preparing your kit. Thats exactly how it is done by real warriors. Its cool that you have Real steel equipment on your BB guns, thats dope. Its cool that you guys train so hard and are highly regarded in your community. Its hilarious that your man there is wearing eye shadow. Its hilarious that you lecture me on the dangers of a 400fps .25 bb, where as my life for a very long time was centered around the dangers of a 3000 FPS 5.56 round. I respect what you do, and I like your content here. But I think you need to step back and learn to not take yourselves so seriously. Have pride in yourself and your training, but at the end of the day your playing with bb guns.
panzerfaulst12345 No eye shadow here dude, its called just being good looking. I guess your saying that what we do isn't dangerous? Hmm, maybe you need to step back and see that dedication doesn't care about the medium. Again thanks for stopping by. Would love to see YOUR gift of knowledge of real world experience, you don't have any videos. Please upload some as we are always striving to find new points of view. Thanks!
Jason Demo even with the matter of the comparing Airsoft to real war remember that most players are giving a good amount of respect to veterans when playing just cause the sport of it. But I can see where some insult could take into play.
Andrew Paul That’s a real rail. The madbull rails are an awful gold color. I have a real RIS II in FDE and the difference is night and day between the replicas and the real deal.
its great to see a new video of you guys! i wont lie i thought yall werent around anymore keep up the good work yall are still one of my favorite teams.
i really do appreciate the green mountain rangers. Not pay'n big bucks for the sake of it. "It is just a tool, your rifle does not make you a good player, you make you a good player" Rigt to the point.
Hey guys. 1st, thank you for being so generous in sharing your tricks of trade. Some of us recently bought some used 2nd hand (1 is an 05 and the other is an 08) that used to belong to Chris Shaw who claims to have been a member of GMR. They seem to work fairly well but do you recommend an upgraded hop like the Redwolf or FCC? Also, the old used mags I have suck balls. I have read and performed a few small mods but is there anything you guys do to ensure consistent and reliable feeding? Last question- will you guys be hosting another training camp? If not, can we organize something with you guys as a consulting service to spend a day and learn a thing or 2?
Over the years I saw this video more than once..... you know, random clickstreaks and such... and I never noticed the INFLATABLE AnPeq in the background :D
Two questions: 1. Does the blue motor grip indicate the M4 is for training? I realize it's your weapon all the time, I only ask because most military equipment is marked blue or a bright color when in a training environment. 2. What is the function of the sheath under the rail? Just for quick access to your knife? Thanks!
damn you covered just about everything and then some, long video but very informative. thanks for taking the time to make this, helped greatly in helping me pick out parts
Its good to see another video from you guys, you're one of the main reasons I'm into airsoft today, would love to see a review on how you set your JPC up, thanks. Hank
This a very respectable rig that will probably cause me to adjust my rig a tweek but I disagree about the mock suppressor part. I use the xcortec system souly for function like the rest of my rig. I allso want to state that when I'm out there I don't ever really have a team with me at all so I am forced to rely on my guns function to keep my fighting and I'm a decent player but having a gun specified to you can make all the difference with or without reliable team mates.
Ronin you should do a tactical repelling video, regarding and pertaining to demonstrating how the GMR's secures an small AO (only to securing the rope and the others that are coming down)
Out of curiosity, what's the thought behind the knife on the rail, besides for quick access? Do you ever find yourself gripping the rail there, and if so, how comfortable is it?
Couldn't find anywhere to purchase the battery caddies so I started producing them myself. If you're interested in purchasing one check them out on Ebay. Search "AOU Airsoft Battery Caddy".
I keep coming back to this video, very well put together great video and editing, I hope to make a similar Mk18- but I don't have the same budget!LOL, awesome video thanks for sharing and have a good one!
so glad you guys made another video! ive been playing airsoft for quite awhile now but have never gotten a decent aeg im look for something under 350 dollars do any of you have any suggestions for which gun I should get i want it to be full metal
Holy shit. I thought I was the only one who slimmed down and stipple m4 grips. Idea popped in my head while customizing glock grips. Highly recommended.
1000 dollar Peq 15, 1000 dollar gun, 400 dollar optic, 150 dollar light, 150 dollar rail, 50 dollar suppressor, 50 dollars of rail covers, 3 70 dollar insight pressure switches, 25 ka grip, and most lik y another 500 in internal upgrade.
Good stuff, some of my team and I enjoy watching your videos. Hopefully once this bloody snow is gone we can get signed for some milsims. also planning on visiting the U.S. to do a few games. Really appreciate that you guys post some very useful techniques and tutorials. Cheers
Hi Ronin, Im a big fan and Im preety much fascinated bout Your setup since You showed it. Could You tell me something about how to make that custom dual pressure switch? Hope for sharing, best to You guys rock!
I've noticed there's a good bit of airsofters who want all kinds of guns, to save money... Keep what you have and replace the internals as needed. Or don't. Just tryin to help those who want to save some money.
Nice video, but I disagree with several things: I found the PTW non the best platform for airsoft player because it's cost, care and maintenance. Nowadays you can take a VFC replica for example, and optimize it in order to have the same performance of a PTW at the 40/50% of the price. Speaking of setup of the AEG I set my M4 almost identical to yours, with similar solution, but I use a 1.5-4x optic vortex replica, so I can switch from CQB to long distance in a sec.
***** Well, if it fits your personal standards and needs, why not. I on the other hand simply don't find much joy in systems other than the PTW platform anymore, as everything else just doesn't feel 'right' to me. Honestly I am a bit of a perfectionist though and simply can't and won't settle for mere average. ;)
***** Haha, well, I'm guilty of harsh gun use/abuse my own - it has kept up with me so far, except one motor flaw. So good luck selling and maybe try the ASCU for gen. 3 gearboxes in your AK. ;)
***** Speaking about fire feedback you are right, a pro feature that the PTW have is the pure reaction on the trigger, but i look on the entire spectrum of the replica. You can have the same effective range of a PTW (i'm Italian and here we have the muzzle velocity limited to 325 FPS with .20bb due to our laws), same precision, an higher ROF if you needs it. For my personal issues I can't rely on an electronic trigger too much sensitive to the moisture. In some 24h winter Recon event that I've participated we literally slept in the mud, sometimes even in shelters built up with snow. Here there is a joke that it said: if you wake up in a winter morning and your breath is condensing it is the time for you to grab your AK (because probably your PTW would die).
Hey I was wondering what the brand and style of your night vision is and what types you and your team have had the most luck or best experience with? Thanks and great video!
I love this channel but I hear bad things about GMR when they play. Stuff about American Milsim banning them and not calling hits? I've never played with them and I'm just wondering.
Lets put it this way. If GMR was coming after you and your squad, and you weren't able to make a stand against them. Would you be honest in saying, "Yeah, they totally kicked our asses." Sure they're risky and too definitive of what the term "Military Simulation" implies, but that's what GMR is about. Taking a Simulation to it's extreme and treating them selves and the situations they're in as reality.
thepurespartanify The point I'm trying to make is not everyone is though. Hell I even had someone steal an A.I. Tornado Impact from me at Op Irene this year (2014).
xxCAPTAINMAJESTYxx Dude having never played with them and knowing nothing, just get off the hype really disrespect veterans, idk who is right but Ive seen the video. Destroy property, what the window thing? All I have seen is they get a bit over the top when it comes to climbing walls and their extreme flanking. Calling hits, never played with them I don't support it but no evidence to either.
I mean the safety stuff, they do that in their videos honestly I think its cool if they get hurt that's on them but I understand how event organizers must keep everyone safe. Ive never seen a full video of the confrontation the accounts are vastly different, Im not for banning or unbanning GMR as I wasn't there, and according to LC it wasn't just the argument but a bulk of past issues. Col.McKnight is a hero but I don't know him, in a argument where your told the wrong info anyone might get bad. Unless a better video comes out or a long un-edited one which Im sure GMR has then we wont know.
My bro and I are starting to move towards the airsoft realm for realism and cheaper expenses unlike paintball, and we need your help or at least some advice! We will be playing more then just backyard airsoft. We would eventually like to go out to Lion Claws and other scenarios so we want good setups. As of right now we have nothing airsoft wise, lol. So we want your advise on what all we should roll out? gun/tac gear/accessories for the gun/and type of camos. We each have a $300-$400 spending cap. We don't plan on getting everything at once. Just the essentials that we can add on to. And as a note we play both in the woods (20+ acres) and we will be playing in a CQB house in Indy. Any help would be greatful! Hope to see you guys later on at a scenario! You guys are badass!!!
Russiaville Royals PB KWA rifles ARE great for starting up in the sport, in that they're tough, and surprisingly reliable - but have their issues. KWA's Gas Blowback rifles on the other hand are extraordinary - but expensive seeing as magazines aren't cheap, and are a critical part in the system. If you get gear, get good gear, when you can. Replica JPCs and a 250 AEG ain't the way to do it. If you DO get a KWA AEG, make it a KM4 RIS and if need be modify from there - but the KM4 RIS ($329) makes a pretty dang nice M4A1 SOPMOD PR/Block 1.5. Best of luck.
Hey GMR! First of all you solved my ambidextrous problem so I applaud you for the great idea. I had a few questions about your insight m3x. I was wondering if the m3x with the LED upgrade bulb is enough lumens to be able to see someone at 100 yards? 120 lumens seems low IMO and is making me wanting to go with another low profile light such as the surefire x300u or the streamlight tlr-1 hl? I'm trying to stay low profile, yet not sacrifice the quality of the light, all while making an ambidextrous gun like you have. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks
I like airsoft. It seems like a lot of fun. And I really don't want to shit on these guys hobby....but I do tend to feel like they take themselves a little bit too seriously.
is that an inflatable peq box in the background? lol
Lol I noticed that to

favorite part: the giant inflatable PEQ box in the back
RE: lighting - more modes/switches mo' problems. You guys are absolutely right to have different lights for different tasks.
Real RIS II and PEQ?!?! My AR is jealous.
Jai Bronson no shit lol... mine is too.
That rail is the air soft version. It's made by mad bull but licensed by DD, I'd if you can but it on a real rifle
Andrew Paul That’s a real rail. The madbull rails are an awful gold color. I have a real RIS II in FDE and the difference is night and day between the replicas and the real deal.
@andrewpaul5150 that's a real ris2 as a systema ptw can accept milspec rails and stocks this ain't a cyma or a dboys AEG
It's my birthday, thank you for the best gift ever based ronin!
Birthday cake.
Out of freaking nowhere with a new video by the GMR. Sweet.
Just found your channel love that ptw ❤️
This review is so great that its the only gun review, both airsoft and real firearms, that I've watched more than once.
I love what you did to the grip by shaving away the finger stop... Nice set up too. Each his own.
Great video ronin! And I loved the blow up peq15 haha. I want one of those now
I'm excited for GMR to get back on the scene. I know you guys had a rough past but people should live and forgive. Thanks for the sick vid!
Great video, thanks for filming some of your training at StrikeForce Sports!
Is it just me or does Ronin look like Chris Costa and a father at the same time. Im glad you guys are back.
That Peq-15 brand new is 1,400 dollars....
I'm glad to know that the GMR continue in this sport.
For me are a reference and inspiration in airsoft.
Best greetings from Portugal

Glad you guys are back! I really liked the video. I also loved the paint job.
For sure one of the best Airsoft teams out there, if not the best.
Are you guys going to have an updated kit video? I see you guys are now running some Crye gear. Also nice video.
Ronin i'm loving the Operators' beard. Great vid, i thought you guys quit. Been a while for the vids. I've subscribed. Good stuff, love the work.

Hi, I am here for learning something real professional for optical gun build. Surprisingly, I found Sugru! That amazing!
Great video! I never thought of using paracord as a single point sling attachment.

Finally i been waiting for a weapon video
The great return of GMR
Secondary? Belt setup?
im sure thats another topic that needs a dedicated video?
love that tactical plaid.
why don't you guys use GBBR it's more realistic and with the 30 round mags you can really work on the skills and drills!
Yayyy you guys are posting again

Eye shadow?
Nice gun setup
Great video, but I am Spanish and like me you will have many non-English speakers that we would appreciate if your videos had subtitles. a greeting
Juliana Brier I'm honest when I get beat fairly.
thepurespartanify The point I'm trying to make is not everyone is though.
250 on a kwa aeg, 50 on extra mags 80 on a replica JPC and the rest on eye/head pro and bbs, bateries etc
Hi ronin, are you guys going to be doing a full kit video? I am very interested in the kit your team uses.
They are backkk
they never left
And I really don't want to shit on these guys hobby....but I do tend to feel like they take themselves a little bit too seriously.
no there not. airsoft is what you make out of it and if they want to play it this way they can and its 100% right
