+Novritsch Damn dude...it's an honor you'd say that, and that you stopped by. If there's anything I can do to answer more or give you any more guidance, just let me know. Thanks for the kind words, bud! Glad it was helpful! Cheers, Robo.
+Robo Murray Airsoft Hey robo this is a kinda dumb question but how do you sign up for a milsim operation??? Love you bro and keep up the good work you are doing :-)
Rich Amar TSA has guidelines on bringing firearms onto flights on their website, the short version is: yes you can fly with it, but it has to be in your checked luggage in a locked hard sided case. No grenades or CO2 canisters allowed at all. And make sure you’ve got orange tips on everything. It also doesn’t hurt to call the airline ahead of time to see if they have any additional policies regarding airsoft guns.
Robo, as an active US military member this was a good video. Logical format and distribution of gear. As new airsofter looking at MilSim to augment my own training this a was great video with really good/logical ideas. Keep'em coming, you're doing an awesome job.
+Vodka2051 Thank you very kindly for the words of encouragement! I try to do things as logical and helpful as they can be - whether that be HOW I apply my skills in airsoft on the field, to how I think about things off the field. If it helps others - that's the track I want to be on. Thank you for stopping by to give me the feedback, and to watch the video! Thank you for your service!
+Nicoli Miller Because no matter if its fixing people or fixing guns if you know what you doing tape is a god send when used right if stitches arent immediately available
I don't have a bag of sorts, I have a crate that I used to keep all my gear to and from deployments. the thing still has Afghanistan in places of is (IE SAND A LOT OF DAMN SAND)
+Max McTabish Hahaha. Ya man, there's a lot of money tied up in my kit. But honestly - I've also accumulated it slowly over years of airsofting. Unless someone wants to dropkick their bank account off the face of the earth - I always advise a slow accumulation, with thought and consideration put in :P
A tip if you want to protect your stuff a little bit more while flying, particularly stuff in hard-cases, try your best to make it seem like they're musical instruments, it might not seem like much but I've known a few baggage handlers who say the only thing they actually treat gently are musical instruments.
When LBT had that sale on those bags it was has if the airsoft gods were shining upon us all. The struggle was real to be really organized for a cheap price in airsoft. The whole F.A.R.T. crew rocks the large bags in multicam. I don't know what we would do with out them. Great video Robo you always have very good content on your channel.
Awesome video! As I start to get more into the MilSim scene, I'm quite disorganized when it comes to Airsoft. Now I know what kind of bags I should be looking for to transport my gear, and an effective way to do so. This will certainly be helpful! Many thanks!
Hi Great video! Do you have a video explaining what is involved in order to bring your airsoft equipment from Canada to a US event when not traveling by air?
Awesome video Robo! Was looking forward to seeing this Gucci setup of yours. awesome series man, helps out a lot of players. looking forward to more episodes of your philosophies series.
this is the most helpful and the fucking coolest kit list i've ever seen, very helpful, i've been playing American MilSim now for a couple of years and never really found such an easier and more useful kit list and a "How to" on packing n all that
This is how you pack if you are driving, but NOT if you are flying. If you are flying, always have any magazines or guns in your primary gun case. This will make it easier at customs.
+SpecialOpsAirsoft hahaha. nah - nothing too huge. But I have turned up my workouts, though. Doing a lot more weight lifting, just to take it all up a notch ;) Thanks for noticing, brother! I like to keep the machine tuned :P
Robo... like I said before.... my favorite channel and airsoft dude. Very useful stuff you show and I think this new video series is definitely your thing! Keep it up.. Hope to actually meet you one day. Maybe on my trip to Canada ;)
+Starkiller Airsoft Thank you for your continued support and high praise, brother! I'm just glad so many are finding the thoughts in my brain so useful :) And ya dude - would always be rad to finally meet the people who support me so much!
Robo thank you for showing us how top pack Air aoft Gear and weapon to Air soft events for tricks and tips to pack light slim, plus it is super Duper great that you tell us that we should pack up backup back up gear, clothes.😍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏 great video Robo.
So you packed your pack with your pack? Solid. ;-) Oh the death rags! It should be mandatory for airsoft. But good stuff with this video. Always cool to see how others think and especially pack.
How much is about all of it if you would know ??? I am starting to do air soft and there is a mil sim in the next town over so I was just woundering or if you have some old gear that you want to get read of . Great video and lots of help thanks
+Sterling Heinz In this bag, with my equipment - it's a pretty big number. Mostly though only because of the quality of the equipment I eventually started buying, as time went on. There's probably a couple thousand dollars worth of stuff in that kit bag at anyone point in time. The thing with Airsoft though - it doesn't need to be worth that much; it's just my preference currently. You can fill a kit bag with just as much stuff - the same equipment pretty much - and not have it cost so much; you just have to buy the right brands etc.
Robo, question for you regarding your weapon and optics in a case. Although not an airsofter, I am a Paintballgear using a rap4 468 (ar15) and was considering cutting the foam for my case with my optic on the marker although not as layout efficient. Do you think that it's ok not to, I see you haven't. Paintballing not as accurate as Airsoft zeroing optic may not be a huge importance. Thoughts?
+Shane Gee You could get away with having it in the original box or similar inside your pack. It definitely needs some sort of protection, as you don't want to damage the laser/led on the inside due to shock. And actually - I do carry my optic in the gun case (there's a spot cut out for it in there; always has been). If you don't have the original box, try to find a small cardboard one, and put some foam in there. That would do the job.
+kitkatkieklak Generally just different BDUs. For most milsims (minus say Milsim West)...the rules only apply to your uniform (tan/green/other)...equipment on top of that, doesn't matter. You can be tan - wearing DCU camo...and wearing black vests, etc. The difference in the case of MSW events...everything matters when it comes to what side you're on (NATO or Russian), as it all has to be faction specific.
+Chris flemister Rambo JR got that one correctly: it stands for Military Simulation. It's a larger, objectives-based game, rather than an airsoft skirmish of largely team-deathmatch.
I feel like you could split the recievers of two M4s and fit them in that case then just have one with a stock on it to save space. So if one craps out you just take off the stock and put it on the working one.
Hey Robo, I think the Philosophies series should be great for others to learn hidden tips with anything airsoft. Also, have you ever done a review on the mission spec EOC? If you haven't, do you think you'll ever do one about it? there are very few reviews about it.
+Jezter Thanks brother! And yup - I will be reviewing that EOC. It's a specific type of EOC that the Red Wolf team had commissioned. They'll be on sale on the website soon, too. I literally just got it last week...so haven't had time to fully review it yet. But i will!
+Robo Murray Airsoft Awesome dude! can't wait for the review! I got the email about their EOCs only a few hours before you replied. And keep up with the great work dude, always entertaining and informative as always!
Of you where to move all the extra stuff in your gun case, and had a slightly smaller secondary. I think you could fit two rifles in. Plus what about the pistol?
This video is great, I’m trying to get started in airsoft...I only thing I would do different is the accessories in that pelican case, looks like if you put your accessories in your first bag, you could totally fit another rifle..best of luck
An important note for everyone with zipper bags!!!! Locks do not matter. You can stick a pen between the zips to open it up, whatever goes into a zipper bag is easily accessible to a thief - I'm unsure on workarounds, but keep this in mind before adding a lock and thinking it's foolproof.
Locks aren't useless in this case - it's about understanding how that technique works. 1) Locks are about deterrence; 2) thieves only will bypass locks if they know it can go undetected. As I said previously - it's about understanding that theft technique: it works because you can split the zipper in the middle with a pen and open it all the way around. But - people do it only when they can drag the zipper again from one far end of the zipper to the other, closing it again. No one does this technique and leaves the bag open. To defeat it - you just need to lock the zippers in the middle of the bag, to something ON the bag. In the case of this bag specifically - it has zippered pockets on the front of the bag which you can lock the main compartment zippers to, thereby making it literally impossible to take the zippers to either end of their track, by a long way.
Agreed. Most people won't think of this when they see a lock that intimidates them, as you say its a no-brainer deterrent. However, if someone suspects you have expensive goods in the bag, they may be willing to compromise on certain aspects of their usual behaviour (desperation, amongst other factors, could play a role). Of course a lot of situational dependencies take point here and I doubt someone is going to do this on the tube, or with it next to your person. But it's definitely worth mentioning for people who didn't know how easy the internals of a bag can be accessed unless it's hard shell, such as your gun case!
Sure. But at the same time, locks on bags are generally for when you're doing air travel, and it's over the concern of some airport employee opening the bag and swiping something before you ever get it returned to you and/or the time it takes most to notice something is gone. The chain of custody for bags at an airport are such that if someone has to forcibly open your bag (say by compromising the zipper) without being able to close it again, it's an IMMEDIATE security risk, and will be dealt with by airport security immediately in kind. Hence why I said, if you lock the zippers to the middle of the zipper track, it makes it impossible to use that technique and get away with it. As long as you do that - baggage locks are actually quite effective. Doesn't mean some dumbass thief won't try it...but willing to bet they'll get caught immediately because they're a dumbass.
+ross whannell Great! Glad to hear it gave you some tips, dude! Thanks for watching. The bag is the medium wheeled load out bag by LBT. I got it on one of their special holiday sales that they have many times a year (or else the thing is like 500 bucks - eeek).
I agree with everything but when I fly I NEVER put on TSA locks. That gives them the opportunity to go through your stuff with out you there. With them being locks TSA doesn't have keys to, I have to be present for them to look through my case. This happened to me just a couple months ago on my way to Milsim West.
There's no real link that I can point you to for that specific piece; it's actually something that comes inside a Condor Admin pouch I used to own. Not sure where you can find something of its nature alone.
Hey Robbo, loved the video as it was super helpful to me. I have a quick question though. How do you properly travel via airlines with an Airsoft gun or any sort of firearm?
+Ryan Bauer Thanks for watching, dude. As for travelling on an airplane with firearms/bb guns - you can find that info on any airline site, under the baggage section. As long as you follow those guidelines, it's an easy affair to do.
No problem dude. For the most part, you just need to keep ammo and the weapons separate, have a hard case, and locks. But again - the specifics are talked about on any major airline baggage page.
I buy food when I get to the States, I haven't needed to sleep in the field - so no need for a sleeping bag, and I put cold weather gear, if needed, in the bag as well.
+Robo Murray Airsoft So, wait... How long are the milsims that you go to? I go to 6 hour battles with over 100 people usually and vehicles. Does that mean I go to a Milsim every month?
Povilas Kaciusis You're going to a military themed skirmish pretty much. Very loosely based in military stuff. A legitimate Milsim OP is usually more than 24 hours. There's uniform requirements and you also have to bring massive rucksacks to hold your sleeping/cooking gear.
Hi, A very cool and interesting video, thank you very much :). I have few question for you. Can you tell me if the pelican box you use is the 1700 (travel vault 2 has I see somewhere)? And can you tell me the model of your backpack? If I can also add a suggestion, it could be nice to put in the description of the video some of the items you show (that will prevent recurring questions like mine :) ). Thanks again!
+Robo Murray Airsoft Hi and thanks for ther answer. It's just because I'm french and sometimes I am not sure about certain words in english that's why I have asked ;) But after played the good sequence several times I finally understand. Sorry for that! :)
Romain Pelissier No apologies needed brother - it's all good :) Ya - for the consideration of lots of travel on airlines (where baggage fees become an important issue) - the 1700's dimensions come in JUST under the maximum before you have to start paying oversized-luggage fees.
hey Robo, great video, what were the names of those little lights on the back of your helmet you said were for nighttime kill recognition? v-light?? e-light?? also, what radio do you use? thanks.
They're just repro S&S Precision V-Lites (called "E-lites" - the repro ones). And yes. They're just red lights that I can turn on in the dark when I'm hit, so people can see I'm dead when they can't see a red rag. I use a Puxxing 888K radio.
is there things that you make sure to do when at the airport with your stuff (like declaring certain things, or showing up earlier). also what are the sizes of your gun case and load out bag?
This helped me so much with traveling with my stuff to the US. Thanks Robo!
+Novritsch Damn dude...it's an honor you'd say that, and that you stopped by. If there's anything I can do to answer more or give you any more guidance, just let me know.
Thanks for the kind words, bud! Glad it was helpful!

Love you Nov!!!
+Robo Murray Airsoft love you robo!!!
+Robo Murray Airsoft Hey robo this is a kinda dumb question but how do you sign up for a milsim operation??? Love you bro and keep up the good work you are doing :-)
Novritsch!
I work for the airlines and yes putting your flights/hotels in something that is not just a bag tag is very helpful.
Jeremy McMillen I have a question can you bring a airsoft weapon on the plane if you tell them?
Rich Amar TSA has guidelines on bringing firearms onto flights on their website, the short version is: yes you can fly with it, but it has to be in your checked luggage in a locked hard sided case. Your gear is invisible, all I can see is your wooden floor.
Joseph Kaufman I GET IT HAHAHA, IT TOOK A SECOND 😂
Insyne is it cuz the floor is tan and the cases are tan?
@@Nate-pq4qg camo joke
@@Nate-pq4qg who knows what colour his cases are he has never shown them.
Just a suggestion, duct tape and or electrical tape.
Everybody always brings electrical tape, why tho
+Messy Serb in case something happens with your wires, you can tape people's hands together... Etc many possibilitys
+Nicoli Miller Because no matter if its fixing people or fixing guns if you know what you doing tape is a god send when used right if stitches arent immediately available
+nick nobles u got that from 2 videos of jet😂😂 he said that about electrical tape then the stitches part is when he taped up his leg😂😂

How may mags do you carry for a milsim or a pickup game? I don't know if I'm carrying to much
I personally carry 6-7 midcaps.

So you packed your pack with your pack? Solid.
;-)
Oh the death rags! It should be mandatory for airsoft. But good stuff with this video. Always cool to see how others think and especially pack.
At my local field it is mandatory to stop arguments about over shooting and I think it's a good idea.

This actually helped a lot, I need one of those bags ;)
+ross whannell Great! Glad to hear it gave you some tips, dude! Thanks for watching. The bag is the medium wheeled load out bag by LBT. I got it on one of their special holiday sales that they have many times a year (or else the thing is like 500 bucks - eeek).
+Robo Murray Airsoft cheers dude, seems worth it though
I agree with everything but when I fly I NEVER put on TSA locks. That gives them the opportunity to go through your stuff with out you there. With them being locks TSA doesn't have keys to, I have to be present for them to look through my case. This happened to me just a couple months ago on my way to Milsim West.
Have you see silo in the game that’s Novritsch
Can someone help me find the iten he shows at the minute 10:00 mark?
Any link would be appreciated
+Robo Murray Airsoft Awesome thank you brother!
No problem dude. For the most part, you just need to keep ammo and the weapons separate, have a hard case, and locks. But again - the specifics are talked about on any major airline baggage page.
Great video can you make a video what you eat while you on the field in milsil
The standard U.S. Army rifleman has a 6+ 1 rule, meaning he has 1 mag in the primary and 6 on his plate carrier.
im not trying to be a nerd or anything but you have so much space in those main compartments that you could have used for something like extras.
Space is negligible when Airlines measure by weight.
Where do you pack your sleeping bag and food for the field, or cold weather gear for night time?
Wow this helped a lot thanks robo
Glad you liked it, bud!
Hi,
A very cool and interesting video, thank you very much :).
+Romain Pelissier found myself: lbtinc.com
+Romain Pelissier I say it's the Pelican 1700 at 17:48 :P
+Romain Pelissier And the model of backpack is an LBT 3-Day Assault Pack; I say that at 14:28
+Robo Murray Airsoft Hi and thanks for ther answer.
I LIKED YOUR NEW SERIES
hey Robo, great video, what were the names of those little lights on the back of your helmet you said were for nighttime kill recognition? v-light?? e-light?? also, what radio do you use? thanks.
They're just repro S&S Precision V-Lites (called "E-lites" - the repro ones). And yes. They're just red lights that I can turn on in the dark when I'm hit, so people can see I'm dead when they can't see a red rag.
I use a Puxxing 888K radio.
thanks! I'm thinking about getting some of those e-lites.
is there things that you make sure to do when at the airport with your stuff (like declaring certain things, or showing up earlier). also what are the sizes of your gun case and load out bag?
