- Sorry about the wind noise. 1979 Chevrolet K10 Squarebody sbc 400 cubic inches, 6.6L original engine, Turbo Hydramatic 350 automatic 3 speed. NP203 Transfer case. 3:73 Gears. Flotech 1/7/8 longtube headers, 2.50" True dual exhaust. Dynomax Super Turbo 17733 muffers. Edelbrock 1406 600CFM carburetor, Edelbrock performer aluminum intake. AC Delco electric fuel pump. Tuff Country 2" leaf spring lift.

great looking truck...they look best with a 3 inch lift to me.
Beautiful K10! I've been looking at lifts for my 1982 K15, and it seems like the general consensus is that the Tuff Country is the best riding out of all of the other kits available.
Thanks! Only thing I would change is go 3" spring in rear instead of matching front lift at 2". I ended up adding a 1" block under rear spring so I have a slight rake and not nose high when hauling stuff in the bed.
@@doctube2020 what block did you use for your extra 1" rear lift?

@@doctube2020 looks great 👍🏻 I think that’s what I’m going to do with my 78 k 10 you gotta keep the rear higher i run 32” s but in winter I put 235’s on otherwise it’s a death trap in the snow

Did you have to get longer brake lines or change the steering arm? Beautiful truck by the way. thanks for mentioning the tire size. my 77 k20 came with 16.5 inch that I want to change out.
Brake lines and steering are stock.

Did you ever try 35”s with that 2 inch lift? I saw another forum of you describing the 35”s with no lift but curious about the 2” lift. Thanks!
35x12.5r15 just cleared with no lift but would rub in front when off-roading and cycling suspension. 2” would help but still probably rub if you near the front bump stops.
Looks great! Just bought a 2” lift EZ ride for my 85 K10. Tuff Country it is! How’s it ride so far?
Joshua Keith definitely better than stock 40 year old springs. Less of the covered wagon ride, now when I hit a bump the suspension actually works. I put rancho 5000x on because the bilstein were too stiff. I like bilstein on my 1997 because that rides soft. For the price ez ride have been excellent. I need to put the bilsteins on eBay
Awesome news. 👌🏼 Good thing I didn’t go for the bilstein. This is the first 2” lift I’ve seen on UA-cam for the squarebodies! I’ve been looking for years lol

That was purchased about 20 years ago from JC Whitney or LMC truck. Word of caution, be sure to remove it every few
Months as they slowly collect dirt which holds water which leads to the front of the hood rusting out. Maybe they’ve improved them to just stick on and not bolt underneath the hood.
Thank you, I have since found one in excellent condition. I was at a friend's house and a relative of his stopped by and we were just chatting, told him what I had and was looking for he said "I believe I have that piece at home", I about fell over, we drove yo his house and sure enough.
