As a Vietnamese football fan myself, I had a big (and painful) laugh when the video came to the Vietnam vs Indonesia part. Totally worth the wait for this video.
And yeah the Vietnamese World Cup dream is gone. Maybe even the 2027 Asian Cup one, too, should the national team bottle the third qualifying round (which is a possibility, to be honest, knowing the golden generation will not be at their peak performance by then, and the new one has left a lot to be desired).
Why didn't they keep the previous south korean coach? I think he did well with a group of average players. Now Troussier has already knocked them out..
@@degasrobloxian2530 Well, the VFF (Vietnam Football Federation) was dreamy and thought that possessive football was the future for Vietnam; and since Troussier promised that Vietnam would play an offensive, possessive football, he got the job when Park's contract expired. VFF got what they wanted.
In hindsight, though, this was one of the biggest mistakes that VFF has made. They did not realise that as a whole, Vietnamese players are poor in quality. Talents have certainly existed; however, V-league, where the majority of Vietnamese players play, is a piss-poor league with many clubs on the verge of dissolution, violence reigning, and quality of matches being unsatisfactory, which negatively affects the footballers. With a bad player pool, possessive football is just a pipe dream since players will not be able to pass quickly enough before they have their ball stolen. Moreover, the lack of quality strikers also makes possessive football impractical for Vietnam since even when they can approach the final third of the field, they cannot convert chances into goals. To be fair, it has plagued the national team since Park's last year in tenure, but it intensified when Troussier became the head coach. Troussier and VFF were too ignorant of reality, and they ignored it at their peril.

Bengalis: In AoE2, most players are bad at using them. The results in football seem representative.

Abt the Pakistan vs Jordan match in the first match jordan only managed to score because of a penalty and free kick and only one goal. And they were granted another penalty but our goalkeeper saved it .
In the second leg one of our best defenders was replaced by a diff player due to getting 2 yellow cards. The player he was replaced by played in a Pakistani club but the thing is that means absolutely nothing bc Pakistan has no league system so this player had barely preparation at all.
Also the penalty jordan scored in the second leg should’ve been blocked but due to the turf problems it bounced over the keeper (watch the clip if you don’t believe me)
