Funny thing: They are a bit harder to fight in the german version if it isn't the Ultimate Edition - since the cut they had to made on original release included not having limbs visibly being dismembered, making it harder to judge if they are taken out or just temporarily stopped
It's mine as well. The Impact this DLC gave me in both gameplay and lore. Also I just notice the way we talk to Elijah at the beginning is a parallel to talking to Mr. House as they were both in a screen and (if aiming for the House route) we both do their bidding with the only difference is House uses his vast opportunities as an incentive offering if we do well serving him, While Elijah does it by Force through the bomb collars, Both are also Geniuses (House: Pre-war. Their movements are what make them iconic. They’re not clumsy, far from it. It just seems that way. But there’s a gracefulness to their attacks. Their unnatural angles of attack. Decades of melee weapon fighting have left them pretty adequate. They freaked me out when I first saw them, but I immediately was intrigued by them. Dead money is my favorite dlc lore wise and tone wise.

A mix of the gas and radiation made them that way i think. Not just one. You know we got a lot of information about Mr. Yesterday but not what ended up happening to him. I would have liked some closure. 😌
I bet the fact the holograms never change or have changed from the cloud shows them as a level above the ghost people. So it’s almost like they see what they could’ve been or something
Ah, the Sierra Madre... a legacy of greed, obsession and pure, cold indifference, from both the past and the present. A nightmarish lair of the damned and the dead. A dark and terrible challenge to put fear back into an endgame character who thinks there's nothing left to scare them. And probably the most terrifyingly immersive experience in the entire Fallout franchise!
Maybe the holograms remind some of them of the old times, Vera, Sinclair and those times when they were human, like a picture of someone you remember and all the times you speant near them?
i got a theory... Big Mountain was developing a special type of suit capable of recording and learning the wearer's movements so that it could attack more enemies even after death and also to return the dead soldier to base, which in this case are the clothes of those Y-17 trauma override harness, perhaps these Hazmat Suits that the Ghost People use have a similar technology since in some idle animations they appear to be interacting with some type of computer keyboard, other than that, as they appear to be somewhat Ghoulified, I believe they follow the same logic as ghouls with radiation but with the red cloud, in FNV's Hardcore mode it is confirmed that the red cloud affects the player even in small quantities and is present throughout the Villa, as the player continues to take damage even though they are not in a very concentrated area of the cloud, perhaps the fact that the workers in the Hazmat suits died to the gas that got inside the suits has Ghoulified them in some way so that the cloud works like radiation for them, causing them to heal from small injuries (or superficial injuries) quickly, not to mention that the clothing may be making some movements easier for them since after it is damaged, they can no longer move, so perhaps if the ghost people were taken to an area 100% free from the red cloud, they would not rise after death (Used google translator so expect some mistakes)
I'm surprised you haven't done it already, or maybe I missed it, but what about our dear follower Fawkes ? Or should I say Security officer Shelton Delacroix ? I mean it's not officially said it's him but everything says he is. His holotapes were cut from the game but you can look for them in the game files with BAE. They even did the french version of it
I have a love/hate relationship with this dlc. I love the idea but didn’t like some aspects of playing it. I did love stealing all the gold and sneaking out, trapping Elizah there though haha
Personally I interpret their reverence of the holograms and Christine as them remembering their pre-war lives. The holograms look lile people they saw before being trapped in their suits and Christine ends up with Vera's voice, a voice of a pre-war idol. Instead of worship, it feels more like they're stunned by these pre-war memories, showing there's still a human trapped in that suit and not just a completely feral monster.
People always hate on this dlc as the most difficult, especially on hardcore and higher difficulties, but if you bring rawrs fost in with you and took melee/unarmed perks as well as the perk that rips enemies to pieces, it becomes almost a cakewalk
So I’ve been playing 76 lately and I started thinking about a lot of thing like in the opening pre war part of fallout 4 sierra Madre was opening at the same time and Randall Clark was retiring home the 76 wen you leave the vulte if my memories are correct fall out 1 take place at the same time and Randall Clark is currently surviving in Zion at the same time

Big Mountain was developing a special type of suit capable of recording and learning the wearer's movements so that it could attack more enemies even after death and also to return the dead soldier to base, which in this case are the clothes of those Y-17 trauma override harness, perhaps these Hazmat Suits that the Ghost People use have a similar technology since in some idle animations they appear to be interacting with some type of computer keyboard, other than that, as they appear to be somewhat Ghoulified, I believe they follow the same logic as ghouls with radiation but with the red cloud, in FNV's Hardcore mode it is confirmed that the red cloud affects the player even in small quantities and is present throughout the Villa, as the player continues to take damage even though they are not in a very concentrated area of the cloud, perhaps the fact that the workers in the Hazmat suits died to the gas that got inside the suits has Ghoulified them in some way so that the cloud works like radiation for them, causing them to heal from small injuries (or superficial injuries) quickly, not to mention that the clothing may be making some movements easier for them since after it is damaged, they can no longer move, so perhaps if the ghost people were taken to an area 100% free from the red cloud, they would not rise after death
(Used google translator so expect some mistakes)
These ghost people always take a shit ton of bullets when I play the game. Easily one of the spookiest Fallout locations.
It's never too late to begin again, though not every new beginning is chosen or intentional.
“Babe wake up he has posted”
First time playing fallout new vegas in general , i own all the DLCs. I cant get enough of all the lore
They even did the french version of it
Good video synonymous.
Dead money is my first favorite dlc (only play it second due^ to grinding levels and equipment from OldWorldBlues).
I have a love/hate relationship with this dlc. I love the idea but didn’t like some aspects of playing it. I did love stealing all the gold and sneaking out, trapping Elizah there though haha
Nice use of Faustian bargain
I always thought that Frederick Sinclair was very similar to the character of Andrew Ryan in bioshock
Needed this right about now
Personally I interpret their reverence of the holograms and Christine as them remembering their pre-war lives. The holograms look lile people they saw before being trapped in their suits and Christine ends up with Vera's voice, a voice of a pre-war idol. Instead of worship, it feels more like they're stunned by these pre-war memories, showing there's still a human trapped in that suit and not just a completely feral monster.
"Replicated at breakneck speeds"
Dude, too soon
Thank you for this one!! Been really waiting for it
People always hate on this dlc as the most difficult, especially on hardcore and higher difficulties, but if you bring rawrs fost in with you and took melee/unarmed perks as well as the perk that rips enemies to pieces, it becomes almost a cakewalk
I wonder if they in a way are fused to the suits like the big daddies in Bioshock are to their own?
But what do they eat?
They dont
they are powered by the cloud
Maaan. First time i played dead money, i hated it. Now, i love the story. Its amazing.
Best Fallout lore channel.
I think the ghost people might be a special kind of ghoul.
you are a gem thank you 😊
So I’ve been playing 76 lately and I started thinking about a lot of thing like in the opening pre war part of fallout 4 sierra Madre was opening at the same time and Randall Clark was retiring home the 76 wen you leave the vulte if my memories are correct fall out 1 take place at the same time and Randall Clark is currently surviving in Zion at the same time
I just finished Dead Money this week. I don't get the hate. Wasn't hard or frustrating at all. Never got stuck. Never worried about ghost people or toxic gas. Maybe people just have really bad builds lol. Narrative wise its one of the best experiences ive had in the fallout games.
I like how they are just there snd it like rhe best thing.
Also i still steal all the Gold Bars!
I get some of the Gold but to me the best treasure of the Sierra Madre was the vending machine and the codes :D Unlimited Stimpaks! OH YEAH!
@@jonalbertlafuente9805hell ya, someone that finally gets why i like the DLC! For me it Weapon Repair Kits. You will either never have them or be crying trying to find a wrench you didnt gobble up.
hello Synonymous the "Ghost people" are terrifying dragging you back to their lair to turn you into a gas Ghoul Zombie
This is like my 6th time watching this video. Yiu forgot to mention that Dean domino was in on the building of the villa he was getting a kick back and it was possible him who pushed the foreman on the down the stairs
Man has Luetin09 levels of narration
hahaha 'break neck speed'
Fist of Rawr is your friend in Dead Money.
I love this please do more New Vegas stuff
I literally just finished Dead Money, nice
Just made a coffee. Perf timing for my phone to notify me.
Cracking work as always 🙌
What if I'm ready to ghost people in Texas get a message to become merchants
I'm obsessed with videogames despite not playing any of them. Out of all the fallout dlcs I've learned about, i really do love dead money the most. It's such a good story (even though i know it's usually buggy as hell) and i love dog/god so much. Fallout 1 and 2 will always be the best fallout games to me, but there are occasional stories in the Bethesda games i find decent. It's hard to match the storytelling of the originals, and I'll always have a grudge against Bethesda for going against the canonicity of the games that started it all.
People who don’t like dead money are weak, second best dlc in the game, played it for the first time a few months ago with no context and waking up with nothing on me was one of the most terrifying yet exhilarating experiences I’ve ever had in a fallout game. Ghost people were terrifying enemies.
