I'm guessing the Brotherhood will bet its own video but IMO they should have been mentioned. For those who don't know, the Brotherhood started out as the military unit guarding the Mariposa base, who launched a mutiny against the government 3 days before the Great War after they found out about the experiments going on in the base.
Not just a mutiny, they executed the FEV scientists one after another, and left the area with their families. It also came as a total shock that there was no reply to their mutiny, suggesting they had no idea of what was happening at that time.
Why should they be mentioned? The brotherhood was never supposed to be a major player in the scene, they only became so because Todd thought they looked cool. And even then, they're supposed to be almost extinct in the west coast by now.
There is one vault that accidentally became a control vault. Vault 81 where the overseer basically gave the middle finger to vault tec and refused to perform the experiments

One of the biggest 'plot holes' (pardon the phrase) in Fallout lore is: Who is the Vault Data for? Who is the customer? Why build vaults to stress and test 1000 people each in a post-apocalyptic world? If anyone has a theory about this, I'd love to read it.

I don’t think Vault 76 is actually a control vault. They said that, yes, but the vault was exclusively stocked with highly accomplished people. That’s not something you’d do if it was a true experimental control. I think it was actually an experiment to see what would happen if you preserved some of the nation’s best and brightest then gave them the explicit goal of reclaiming the outside world once safe (all the actual control vaults were told they could open but not given explicit Reclamation Day goals).
Wasn't that the proposed purpose of the vaults? Save highly effective people and have them reclaim the wasteland? The one thing that is strange vault 76 did not seem to have a G.E.C.K.

The map at 6:38 has some pretty inaccurate locations for Vault 101 and 111 at least, the others might be wrong too. 101 is marked as West Virginia it looks like, and Vault 111 is in Maine.
Troubling reality aside, I do very much enjoy figuring out what wacky shenanigans were going on when stumbling upon new vaults. Thanks for the rad video!
Minor correction: Vault 13 was not a control vault. The experiment in Vault 13’s case was for the population to remain in the vault for 200 years, rather than the standard 25. This didn’t happen because of the untimely malfunction of the water chip.

When resources ran dry and Europe and the Middle East where destroyed by there own war (europe when to war with the middle eastern nations in response to rising oil prices due to scarcity which led to a nuclear attack in Israel, this war ultimately ended with no winners as oil ran dry and they just stopped fighting. Europe dissolved the EC (European commonwealth which was the fallout version of the EU) and European nations wages war on each other fighting for the scraps. On the other side of the planet seeing the oil shortages and the coming issues that brings the US went heavily into alternative energy sources ultimately developing fusion power with which they hopped to end oil dependence. The Chinese where far behind the US tech wise and they were so dependent on oil that when relations broke down after the US isolated it’s self the Chinese images alaska with the hope of stealing the last remaking oil on the planet. This was lasted 11 years and saw fighting in anchorage, Canada, and even mainland China. Ultimately the Chinese were losing after the US invasion of mainland China with there Power Amor. Pushed to the brink the Chinese launched the missiles and the rest is history.

It was a control vault. But the overseer was allowed certain privileges compared to other vaults. As they could essentially turn the vault into an authoritarian state. Because the inhabitants of the vault were the best and brightest of America. They were necessary for the rebuilding of America.

All it did was have an employee state that Vault-Tec would be willing to launch the nuke if needed, which might have been her bluffing to get the other corporations on board. TKs-Mantis did an interview with Tim Cain, and Cain explicitly said that China launched the nuke because of the USs’ FEV research.
Vault 13 wasn't a control vault and you also put it and Vault 15 at the wrong place on the map. Vault 13's experiment was to see the effects of 200 years of isolation, it should have opened in 2277 instead of 2161, it's just as we know their only waterchip was malfunctioning for decades until it finally broke in 2161 and they had to send someone out to find a replacement

Vault 13 wasn't a control vault and you also put it and Vault 15 at the wrong place on the map. Vault 13's experiment was to see the effects of 200 years of isolation, it should have opened in 2277 instead of 2161, it's just as we know their only waterchip was malfunctioning for decades until it finally broke in 2161 and they had to send someone out to find a replacement
