One of the best movie scores ever to be written. Elmer Bernstein knew his craft. I have enjoyed many of his scores. Thank you to The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra for their very talented musicians and Mr. Karabits for his skill.
In a class of its own. This, along with The Big Country, are the two themes which defined the romantic concept of the American Wedt. For be, this one is he better, with its singing melody, strong rhythms and the lyrical midsection tipping its hat to the Hispanic connection. Hard not to listen without a tear to this glorious evocation.
While I tend toward Classical Music most of the time, I have grown up watching A Lot of Movies. And I think many movie composers are overlooked - John Williams and a couple of others excepted. More from Korngold, M Jarre, Elfman et alia! Thanks for this clip. 🎉
I was fortunate enough to be at Bernstein's 80th birthday concert in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall in 2002 when he conducted a fantastic performance by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra of many of his fabulous film scores, including The Magnificent Seven. The orchestra's subsequent recording of this piece under the baton of the Hollywood film conductor Joel McNeely became the definitive version and is played frequently by Classic FM.
This is not a complete version of the Magnificent Seven Suite. The full version runs over 5 minutes. Very disappointing that this cut off midway through the Suite.,
Magnificent work!

Masterpiece.
Amazing how all the instruments come together
Beautiful music!!
I played this song at a youth orchestra with a bunch of kids (I’m a young kid too!)and I find it so funny that kids can play just as well as grownups

I wonder why I always think of cowboys when I hear this piece of music?
It was use as Marlboro cigarette commetcial (wth the cowboys of course 😊👌)...
Indeed.
Smoking and cowboys.
A very powerful image. They chose the optimal music/theme and setting.
It’s the theme from a western movie
Woodys theme in Toy story I believe
Cowboys on horses!!
Why were several bars left off the beginning of the piece? The entire tone of the piece is set by the missing music!
When Henrik Larsson scores💚
My theme song as a horse owner
Come to where the flavor is.
Marlborough cigarettes' theme song - cinemas in the UK used to show this commercial showing an American cowboy riding around and this music playing.
Marlboro commercial
Bonanza
Come to where the flavor is...
I believe that bear was wearing people’s clothes!!
A tribute to Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, Tesla, and Nvidia …
So this orchestra chops off about 2 minutes of the theme song?
I think so
