**audio malfunction **Garage door opener chain gear replacement on liftmaster/chamberlain/craftsman

This is a gear replacement on a liftmaster 1/2 hp chain drive operator. Most craftsman and chamberlain models will also be compatible with the gear kit.
There is a 1/3 hp and 3/4 hp gear kit as well. The sprocket ⚙️ is usually a different size so keep that in mind when your changing the gear.
The gear used in this video is part OEM genuine parts # 041c4220a.

Ok absolutely awesome video! Here’s my question the limit is kinda in a random position on the adjustment screw. Without the chain installed can I run the motor in either direction until the limit switch stops it, then install the chain and traveler to match, or should I just put it in the approximate center and adjust from there?

You definitely can run the unit and allow it to operate to a full open or close position. From there you can set your trolley to match the open or closed position and lock your chain in.
