Garage door repairman fixed a broken chain for me, but didn't set the limits right. The opener was pulling the door too far open, and sometimes working too hard and blowing the breaker. He said if I wanted it better, I'd need to buy a new one for 8 or 900 dollars. And that was for the base model, which I suspect would not have opened my heavy wooden door. This video helped me to understand how to adjust the limits, and now everything is fine. THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO, IT SAVED ME A TON OF MONEY! These Touch N Go 1000A's seem to have a loyal following for their strength and durability (and of course because they don't have those problem-plagued electric eyes). I wish I knew more about them.

I have the same door opener, how can I program a new remote control universal????
Are you using a liftmaster or chamberlain bridge ? That’s the black device you see in the beginning of my video that is on top of the motor? If so, once you remove the back cover on that device , there’s a learn button. Press and release the learn button and then after that, press and release the remote button until it connects to your motor. If you need more instructions you may find on by searching the liftmaster 365lm manual.
Ok, so I've got a VERY similar opener (model 1000) and you're saying that for you the security plus adapter works?
Yes it works with the adapter. It was already on the unit when I showed up and it was programmed to the remote.
