I've been away from auto paint a bit now, but I've never heard of Iwata. The last gun I bought was a Saata which I thought was top of the industry. i still have my old Accuspray and Sharpe guns.
Hi Kandy Man, great video again and I'm pleased you like the WS400 Series 2 as it's a superb gun and lays the clear beautifully, I got my Series 2 Digital clear gun when they first came out over here in the UK and it's a total joy to use and it's easy to setup now they have fixed the fan pattern issue👌👍John UK
Yeah I prefer the digital version for my guns if they are available, I have the X5500 and both my DV1's along with the WS400 which are all digital and never regretted getting them👍
Hey Candy Man, I hope you're doing well! I wanted to reach out because I've heard great things about the SATAjet X 5500 PHASER clear coat spray guns and I'm really interested in putting them to the test. I know you appreciate the importance of a flawless finish. From what I understand, these SATA spray guns are designed to deliver incredible atomization, even material distribution, and a perfectly smooth clear coat. The precision German engineering and cutting-edge PHASER technology seem very impressive. If you're open to it, I'd love to get your thoughts on the SATAjet X 5500 and possibly test them out. It would be awesome to compare notes with you on the performance, handling, and end results we each experience.
Hey there candy man I to are a iwata fan have several of them, have been a spray painter for nearly 40years. That vx707 man does that bring back some memories used to use them back in the late 80s - through the 90s , it was a big game changer when the w400 came out, cool stuff man love your channel.
I had one of the Sharpe siphon guns. It worked really good but they are wasteful. I had both ls & ws400 the first version and i did not like either. I use a 1.2 5000 rp & a 1.3 3000 rp for clear. I use a Satajet 90 1.3 sl sometimes on restos
Man back in the day the work horse guns were the Binks Model 7 and Devibiss JGA 502 siphon feed guns. It took a while to get used to the gravity feed guns. I always used Sata Guns when I was working before I retired. I would love to try the new Iwata !
It's hard for me to say "turn down the gloss TEAM IWATA" knowing in my heart that's what I strive for but, rules are rules. Thanks for the opportunity Kandy Man to have a shot at owning a top of the line Iwata. All the best to you and yours.😊
Funny guy Bryan. I started in the biz before hvlp gravity guns. Those old siphon feeds can do the job just fine for finished product but ya gotta run them around 50lbs and have a tanker truck full of material as their transfer efficiency was terrible. I just got my series 2 ws400 after watching your video. Didn't think the series 1 could be improved upon...I found out different. Series 2 does atomize better for sure and at 23lbs vs 27-28 with the series1. Like your vids brother..keep up the good work
I think it’s great that your shop allows you to disassemble vehicles so you don’t have lines. Most shops won’t let you do stuff like that. I like taking the time to do stuff right. BTW, what size needle in the siphon? My first gun I learned with was a SATA NR95 with a 1.5 nozzle. You talk about putting it on wet😂!
im from oz as well , its a nice gun but yeah my wb2 w400 and wbx is just as good imo, yes awesome videos, i have had mine a year now had to get my mate to send it from the uk
I'm using the W400 Bellaria, seems to go great but wondering if either of your guns or the one in the video will be much better as a clear coat gun. Need an excuse to buy another gun..😆
Tried a few in my time k man but to be honest didn't really like them , but that's down to personal preference . Not tried the new series but so close to retirement dont think I'll bother 😊😊😊
iv had mine for a year now back then no they wouldnt sell to australia i tryed them they flat out said no , just looked at sp supplys they are still uk only and spray guns direct were nil stock , @@SuperMinimadness
🔥 TEAM IWATA
Sweet video as always Kandy Man. That old Iwata reminds me of back long ago with my trusty Binks 7. My how technology has changed. Enjoy your evening.
Back in the day Binks number 7 with Dupont Centari was a killer combo

You just can’t go wrong with Iwata.
