Great detailed video - as always. I was planning to do Reap, and this has been really helpful! Thank you and I’ll make sure to see your subsequent diary updates :)
I skipped several leagues, and decided to come back with this build as my starter in SC Trade. First half of the Acts was a little slow until I got the gear and links I needed (factoring in that I was quite a bit rusty), but overall it felt great leveling and am now into maps (due to RL stuff can't binge play like I would like to). Thanks for the guide on this. I hate playing meta builds as they are usually not very exciting, but this was fun and even though the league mechanic isn't great, the build makes up for it.
This build is my 3rd character ever and i'm having a lot of fun, just got to maps. I noticed that in the original POB you put swift affliction instead of chain in the late build for exsanguinate, once i swapped to this it felt noticeably worse to clear even though POB was telling me that it was technically a damage loss to use chain. Adding unleash is definitely an interesting alternative that might make it feel better Also, 29:00 my thoughts exactly, i kepts getting awful negatives on all my weapons and shields and stopped using the mechanic entirely after about 10 or so attempts to use the crucible.
Respect for the hard work, but damn dude watch your health. 😅 How do you feel about the fire version of reap? Would elementalist be a good choice or still go scion?
Thanks for the vid! Question on the corrupting fever - the description looks like a spell gem and not a support gem, so shouldn't you be able to proc it with any skills on hit once it's cast, and doesn't have to be connected with exsanguinate?
It just benefits from a lot of the same scaling factors, so you can put it in the same n-link piece of gear so it's effectively two (n-1)-links in one.
Hey fizecs started boneshatter jugg in HCSSF but I’ve been eying this build from before league launch. Dropped a cold iron point and a saffels frame so now I’m tempted to roll it. Is saffels good for for the build?
Hey dude, I'm also league-starting this build, almost at maps now, and it's been a blast! One question though, I found having both shield charge and flame dash at the same time kinda unnecessary? Is there a specific reason why we want both of them?
Hi Fizecs. Did you look into the specific reap/Exsanguinate crucible tree node converting all damage into fire? I might planning later that league scaling it with RF, so fire dmg overall (instead of using fire trap). Do you think that could work? :)
yeah, the hardest thing about that, and one of the upsides of phys dot, is that you more or less don't care about armor. vuln increases the phys damage enemies take, it doesn't shred resists like other curses. as soon as you convert to fire, you suddenly have a lot more stats to worry about to break even, like exposure and resists. you'll also be losing corrupting fever bare minimum to open up sockets for utility skills. It's obviously impossible to pob this since you can't convert the damage of reap in pob and no other skill has ever worked like how this node does, but I don't really know if it's going to be a damage increase overall for dot verisions
Got a friend going Occulist physical to cold + heatshiver, it's doing as good as full physical (which I'm doing) and will probably pop-off once he can afford awakened spell cascade
Hmm tried this out in SC & was relatively smooth till bout high yellows where it seems damage was waining against expedition, essence or some rare mobs even with a +1 ammy & cold iron point dun think this build really scales that well & oddly the defence layers seem to be non-existant reached level 91 from league start but it seems extremely hard to push higher level contents
was in reds in hcssf end of day 1 and farming high reds by mid day 2 with a few guardians downed without clusters or RF or CIP but yeah phys dot takes a little more scaling typically than other archetypes really dependant on clusters and getting that RF rolling to feel super smooth, getting the last bit of reservation on helm to fit the last aura in makes a big difference also was also able to figure out a more optimized way to play it that gains 25% more damage over the mk 2 pob
@@fizecs WIll you update a pob with the 25% more dmg and maybe some scaling gear for trade people? kind of a poe noob still but vaal reap is really cool! or is the pob in the mk 2 vid fully up to date?
"they didnt say anywhere there will be dowsides" litersally false. IT was said explicitl;y in the stream that they would be there. you also are really exaggerating how bad they are.
be efficient and play 18 hours day 1 (this is not a meme) even though I ended at 19 on ladder day one the gap between me and rank 1 was multiple hours. the dd/cold dot/boneshatter meta skills take significantly less gear and prep to run on leaguestart (hence why they are S tier) so you really just have to rush t16s asap and blast, relative to what is actually possible ending after 18 hours at 89 is actually pretty slow

enjoying this build, got vaal reap to drop before reaching gravicius too which has made it super easy

Another option for mana reservation efficiency is the small cluster jewels and roll 50% determination on a 2 node cluster.
yO pretty cool build Fizecs , do u hav a self casting Exsanguinate build guide with scoin?? cool skill

Awesome video! Thanks for the update! How did you get the life cost of Reap down so much?
Keep it up man. Do you plan on using the new adrenaline gloves?
not on this build since you have overleech, it wont work. if you want perma-clear adrenaline then you'll use a death rush ring

yeah would help with rf sustain for sure, definitely not gonna be as tanky as with dawnbreaker, but it would probably feel pretty comfy overall
Is that FlyFF music in the background
A man of culture I see
Be that the FlyFF theme I'm hearing in the background?
Yes, it is

I assume shield charge for general go fast, flame dash for dodging dangerous things
Ya it’s a lot faster to have both. Separate cooldowns.
there seperate cds and flame dash lets u go over areas that shield charge wouldnt, like a river or wall or gap in the floor
Zoom zoom vs. dodge and gap-crossing

How do you sustain Reap im having some troubles leveling. Im using double life flask, enduring cry and vitality. (SSF)

@@fizecs dayum looking forward to the video on it 👍
is cold iron point good for us? its cheap on conflux
if i dont want to use exsanguinate at all would i just use spell cascade on reap for clearing and switch for bosses?
No
Are you self-casting Vulnerability?
yep, basically just on map bosses and essences or phys resistant mobs

litersally false. IT was said explicitl;y in the stream that they would be there. you also are really exaggerating how bad they are.
sorry chris
I really want to know how streamers get geared this fast....

Yeah, crucible sucks! worst league ever
