    Your channel is underrated. I really like your work. I just discovered your channel with the video about breathing, humming and nitric ox; but what I really line is how you mix breathing exercises with yoga and Feldenkrais. Kudos to you

      Hi Irmaa, thank you for writing. Of all my audio programs, I don't have any that are as specific as my videos but these lessons are quite profound and will affect the eyes and jaw: Rolling on Cheek- store.cdbaby.com/cd/anniethoe37 and Bird Vision- store.cdbaby.com/cd/anniethoe44 and Lifting Head also engages both head, eyes and jaw for indirectly: store.cdbaby.com/cd/anniethoe35 I will keep you comment in mind for future lessons and hope to create more! Stay turned....and Thanks again.

    My eyes and eyebrows feel weirdly numb after this exercise.
    (I practice this a lot as its a great exercise)
    I could focus on the relief to the eyes, which causes a small release

      I'm not sure what to say-- other than to go gently with your touch. Perhaps try some other lessons working with the face and come back to this and see if the feelings shift a bit more...

    I tried this to help ease neck and headache pain: feels like sinus pressure long with migraine!? It was very relaxing and helpful. The biggest challenge for me was letting the weight of my head go into my hands. It seems like it will take a lot of practice. Is it really that you're trying to put all of the weight into your hand? The example of a pet leaning into your hand was helpful, and I also rock kids to sleep at work, so I know how heavy even a small head is! It was really challenging letting that weight be held. If you have any other helpful tips, I would greatly appreciate more input! Thanks so much! 🧡

    • @SensingVitality
      @SensingVitality  4 роки тому +1

      Good Question-- it's truly difficult to let all the weight of your head rest in your hand. Gravity and your spine will take some of the weight of your head through to your pelvis, so it's more of a "leaning into" or surrendering the effort of your face and neck muscles that we are going for. Use your breath, especially the exhale to soften and find the skeletal support traveling both down your pelvis as well as to your hand. I invite you to a new online class beginning this Tuesday-- works with the pelvis and legs, but very calming for the upper body. check my website for info: www.sensingvitality.com

    HI Annie, Thank you so much for these wonderful videos! I found them about a week ago, and each time I watch, feel like i learn something new. I'm dealing with significantly reduced jaw excursion and (diffuse, left) TMJ pain, which makes eating -- both opening the mouth and chewing -- difficult. I'm doing your exercises twice daily, but wonder if joint stress when eating interferes with the healing that the exercises are designed to facilitate. I'm thin, often hungry, and don't know how feasible it is for me to stick to a liquid or very soft food diet . That said, if you think it's essential, I will try, as I definitely want to do whatever I can to prevent the need for invasive treatment.

    • @SensingVitality
      @SensingVitality  4 роки тому

      Hi Roberta, with this kind of pain, I think you do need a fair amount of self-care and gentleness to shift the alignment and patterns with your jaw. I would recommend my facial series on my Patreon channel-- I have a broader approach to the face that might help calm your nervous system. I have not posted that entire series on UA-cam -- but it's on Patreon. Have you looked at your neck and upper cervical area in relation to your jaw? Ankles? There are many joints that affect the function of your jaw from a holistic perspective -- that might help with alignment and healing. The Head & Neck series might also help your jaw-- in working with the alignment of these areas.

      @@SensingVitality Thank you for your response, Annie. You-re right about other contributing challenges -- the jaw problems became prominent when I was hit with fibromyalgia and then left rotator cuff issues (thankfully, those are much improved), recent X-ray shows reduced cervical curvature, and forever i've had a peculiar left/right maxillary misalignment. I'm new to Patreon, but just checked and will follow up with your facial series as you're recommending. Thanks again for making your wonderful videos available to us all!

    Ive been struggling with a chronic forehead tension, especially in the brow and frontalis. Its so sticky.
    Temporalis is involved etc.
    This helped to release the area near the temporalis in part.
    This problem has been a long time since high school. Also got a strong grip tension in the throat, but i will work on this another time.
    Is there anything more i could do to relieve this?

      I have a 4 class series for the face on Patreon -- sometimes vision lessons and neck lessons can really help as well to work with chronic forehead tension. Here's my UA-cam playlists and you can also check Patreon: Facial: ua-cam.com/play/PLrnMEMVXiYLz6xHn8MV-wig-cRtjxrzSh.html

      Im so grateful for these exercises.
      A lot of hurt and restriction in head tension.
      No boundaries as a result as the tension can be so chronic and reinserting.
