That comment about memorable story moments resonates with me. It's funny how people view what makes a book a key, meanwhile there's tons of books out there that have excellent writing or an incredible page layout that just gets looked over by most. My favorite moments in comics are pretty much from books people would consider under $5 books. Awesome vid 👍
Great video as usual. Love your insight in what made you gravitate towards certain books. Plus dollar bins are literally one of the most funs to do as comic collectors!
Man, another great video! I love the Lettuce Noir intro. I really dig everything you picked up, especially the Speed Racer, Daredevil, and Excalibur. Those Speed Racer books from Now were a pretty low print run, so that's a cool find. Keep the good stuff coming, my friend!
Thanks Doug! I was really happy with those too! All of the Now Comics Speed Racer books have the same art style so I’ll definitely be keeping my eye out for them.
Your dramatic intro ca-racked me up!! The dealers can be cranky because they would never be able to have their own shop. You got some great books for fifty cents. So cool you found Jacob’s book. I love that Combat book. Great gift!!! That kid cover is great. Your Cap section was professional done - sooo good.
I must have read Born Again a gazillion times. I felt Miller really nails down Cap in that issue and there are a few other moments, like when Cap tracks down Daredevil in his civvies and has a conversation with him on the rooftop...excellent stuff. Great way to finish the video!
Killer intro 😂 “there were no fleas at the flea market” great pick ups. Right up your alley.. I can see why you and Ricky get along so well you both collect very similar. Bone claws comic the wolverine one (I’m terrible at issue numbers) was gifted to me by Dan. Love that cover. Glad you guys got to get out and hunt. Thanks for sharing dude!
The beginning of this video made me think you were going to talk about the fact that summer is coming to an end and you were going to have to go back to school. I love collecting story moments as well.
I know you can't see me right now, but literally stood up and clapped more than once while watching this, bro. Great intro, so many great books - you tell a great story and the animated read aloud was chef's kiss good. I also think its hilarious that both you and Jacob managed to make videos about an all day, multiple store hangouts and get no footage together. Im off to put some whales in my face. ❤
Great video! You should note that the New Avengers 14 you have is a very rare newsstand copy! By the time that came out newsstands were estimated to only be about 1% of the print run of a book… so there are probably less than 1,000 of that book out there. Very nice grab!
I’m not sure if it’s a newsstand. I’m not seeing that this issue had a newsstand and the barcode matches the standard cover. Do you know something I don’t? Are you the keeper of secret knowledge?
“There weren’t any flees at the market”, well lettuce comics doesn’t feature a lot of lettuce. But in all seriousness, very awesome to hunt comics with a friend, especially one you made from your channel. That Superman comic is awesome, I agree with you, I hope this was a child’s art on it and hope the story involves SM saving a child or inspiring a child. I like your reasoning on not bringing a camera into your childhood LCS, let your inner child have his fun.
Combat is a great series. Art by Sam Glanzman, who was actually in the military and the premise of the stories are historical war stories rather than fiction. It is well done and worth picking up
Great video Hagan! Really cool pick ups - blackest night is a great DC event so I would recommend looking for some other issues! Warren Ellis is an excellent writer! try transmetropolitan if you get the chance ❤ also loved the intro 😂
Hey enjoy your channel find it entertaining and fun a bit different from most of the other comic related channels which is good keep it up Garry from Auz
Did someone say “Debris” on a comic book?! Sorry that sounded excessively overexcited. Cigarette’s are not good for you or comic books. But I do have an ozone chamber to neutralize the smell! (Justified excessive excitement). Great intro once again Hagan!
This is very quickly becoming my favorite comic channel.
@@TheUndertainer man I really appreciate that. You’ve got no idea.
I love your intros! 😂
Also love hearing your recaps of your hunting experiences.
Thanks man! I love being dumb and also telling stories.
That Superman........The kid that drew that draws better feet than Liefeld. LOL. Great video!
Rob might wanna be just like him when he grows up. Thanks for watching, TJ!
Cinematic Master Piece 🙌👏👏

Exactly! Almost all of the books I bought as a kid came from the dollar bin and those stories are invaluable to me.
@@LettuceComics I gave those books my own personal classification: "low-key keys" 🍻
That’s excellent and I’m stealing it
Agree with everything you said regarding that Daredevil issue. Art and story first, financial aspects second.
100%!
Great video as usual. Love your insight in what made you gravitate towards certain books. Plus dollar bins are literally one of the most funs to do as comic collectors!
I’m a dollar bin goblin. There are so many things I wouldn’t buy for a dollar fifty that I will THROW a dollar at.
Another amazing video! Love your storytelling (not the one where your read that cap comic) but the storytelling on your comic adventure with Bone Claw
Thanks man! I really appreciate it!

@@LettuceComics you’re a natural and you nailed it.
My favorites cap moment is the no you move speech! I applaud you staying close to your budget I can’t do that.
Amazing Spider-Man #537. The most 3 dollar book you will ever find. Such a great issue and WAY undervalued in my opinion.

@@raph-retro-comics im working on collecting the rest of that arc. It seems fantastic from what I’ve heard.

Glad you liked the intro! It was a ton of fun to make except for the wet jeans part haha. Thanks for watching, Bruce!
@@LettuceComics yeah… wet jeans…. Not my thing. Spent a lot of time with wet jeans during puberty. Giggity.

More wins and grins from the dollar bins. That's what I like about the dollar bills there's such a wide variety of books to choose from.

Love the comment about book makes you think of a friend 👍. Do you have Tales of Suspense 98? Nice Cap vs BP cover.
I do have that! One of the first books I sought out when I put my foot to the floor collecting.
I guess that guy doesn’t like money…did he look like Jeff Alberton?
If Jeff Alberton went to Golden Corral way more and had like 4 more divorces.
Hey man, was wondering if you had Iron Fist #12 first meeting of Iron Fist and Captain America?
I do not actually!
