I made an amazing connection at a recent flea market. He invited me over to what became the vintage toy and comic deal of my life! Vintage Toy Hunting Ride along!

Too long? You can make your videos for at least two hours long lol. I have no knowledge of Transformers at all (bought my first Transformer last year, a Generations Studio Series (no.54) Megatron, which I got for a ridiculous price, because the toy store made a mistake lol), but I ordered recently a ''Hasbro Legacy Evolution Soundblaster'' (which looks exactly like that Soundwave), it can be evolved into a 1980s radio boombox, including with a cassette tape. Btw, that box with comic books was just insane! Incredible! Happy New Year to you, Anthony, your wife and your kids! Greetings from the Netherlands.

There's always something sad and tragic about these people clearing out their collections. I think they are dealing with the realisation that all their efforts end with a crappy exchange of banknotes with a stranger.

That’s why I only collect video games, which I can actually use forever. Also, I will never sell any of my games til the day I die, so I don’t foresee that being an issue for myself. 🤷🏼♂️
Hopefully one doesn’t come to the circumstances where you have to clear your stuff out because your dead azzed broke and need the duckets. This stuff is meant to be parted out on a one on one basis to buyers that are looking for a piece they want or have been seeking for ages. Knowing when the day comes and I part out my stuff somebody will display the stuff they bought from me just like I displayed happily after I bought it.
It seemed like he wasn’t exactly happy selling his jewels but you to kicking in that extra $200 was such a classy move. It isn’t very often great items like this are found or offered up but your treatment and respect to him will definitely make him think next time he’s willing to part out more. Now of course your problem is what excellent stuff do you keep and what to play forward.

$1200 for that box of comics was a steal. literally That box could potentially be worth 10k plus. That House of secrets is easily $2k. I felt really bad for him. He knew he shouldn't have gotten rid of those.
As a Comic Guy I was absolutely drooling over that small box. That’s the kind of box I dream of finding in the wild. Even at $1200 your probably at the very least doubling your money. The House of secrets at a 4.5 grade sells for around 1k which covers most of the cost. That’s a purchase that will keep on giving for a while. Awesome pick up.

The extra 200 was a class act move. Happy sellers are your best bet at finding other buys through word of mouth. Amazing buy! ❤
I wouldn't be surprised if the King Kong poster is the highest value item out of the first part of the haul, insanely obscure stuff like that are collector's grails. Got to consider that fact that 99% of those ended up in landfill, and the few that trickled into peoples hands were mishandled to the point the wore down overtime. The stuff that was never meant to be owned by consumers is by far the coolest stuff in my opinion.
Yea I agree, having King Kong on top of the Towers and its from what 76 he said and weren't the towers finished around then?
@@jeffbloomquist7925 ive got some amazing vintage 50s 60s 70s movie posters , ua-cam.com/video/HVta7QH-_wE/v-deo.html , amazing chinese Enter Dragon lp , same art as movie posters. Beware of HK bootleg movie posters , almost every poster was factory folded then.

got some 1st issue german Bruce Lee flyers printed on cheap newspaper stock , vhtf but not very valuable......still its not always about $ tho , the historic value is dynamite however@@FroggyFlips
Dude. That’s why people like selling to you. Your honest. You knew the comic might grade high which would be a crazy score but you gave him 200 extra bust in case it graded well. Wow. Your awesome. I wish the guys I dealt with were like you

When he said $1000 sounds good or is it a little too much and you accepted right away, I know quite a few others that would bring the price down and you probably could too. But that’s already a fair price and it was his asking price so it’s great to see that you respected that 👍🏻 great haul!
Ive unsubscribed from quite a few people who know they are getting deal but still try to knock of a dollar or two. One guy found a $100 action figure for $5 and offered $3.

It's about building relationships. He has more to sell and more than likely has friends that collect. Froggy was fair. People will remember that and share it with others.

I am living in India where we dont really have garage sales... but boy am i addicted to your videos, cant have enough of these, if i ever move to the US i would probably start looking for these garage sales and being fair to the seller thanks to you Froggy.
Comic guy here. That was the box that collectors dream of. You absolutely made a fantastic investment that will keep on giving for many years to come. Definitely get all those heavy hitters graded, and you’re looking at some very nice returns. Congratulations on a great way to end the year!
Funniest part about it, 15 years ago the only comics in that box that would have been pulled would have been the Star Wars 1-5 , the house of secrets 93, and MAYBE the new mutants 98. Everything else was under $5 15 years ago

For me being born in 1986 I know some stuff and dont know others...But it definitely brings back some nostalgia for me! Especially for the TMNT stuff since i had some as a kid. Love the videos and will be wishing you and the fam all the best!
Damn that earth Vader. When I was little Darth Vader was my favorite character of all, I kept one in each of my front pockets and carried the 12inch around, even kept the cape and saber forever. I’m fifty now and still wish I had kept them.

Love that you called your business an adventure, and stressed how much you value treated customers fairly and respectfully and gracefully. That's such a good mindset for anyone to have, both about the way one makes a living and about the way one exists as a human in society. It's crazy what kind of items spark your memory when you go out searching. In that Star Wars shoe box was a rubber Mario jumping over a Koopa. I totally had that thing when I was a kid and keep hoping I'll stumble upon it myself someday.

Awesome video, love it. That was the 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan rookie sticker, a lower graded PSA one can bring from 3 to 600. A Psa 9 will sell for 3-5k, and a gem mint 10 will sell for 35k.
Nice haul! I was noticing how well controlled your poker-face is, but how honest and forthright you are. You are very conscious about stepping in toes, or making someone feel as though their collection isn’t valued as high as they think.

You are by far my favorite guy to watch on UA-cam. The type of things you pick up is what draws me in but the way you treat people is why I keep coming back. I'm trying to find a way to get myself out there & make connections with people. Living an hour away from any decent sized town does not do much for being able to find interested sellers.

Can I ask a real question? Why did he let you take everything for an absolute steal if he knew the value of what he had was much greater? Genuinely curious
Sometimes you just grow out of it or just not into a hobby anymore. If your really into Buying, selling , trading collectibles, your likely doing it as a full time hobby or as a business which takes up alot of your attention/time otherwise it becomes a bunch of junk that keeps taking up space in your home. The fella here even refered to it as junk.
Priorities change and in the end they are collectibles, not precious gems. They may not have value to you anymore but they may be valuable to someone else so its not a huge deal to just get rid of it, take what money you can and let someone else enjoy it then maybe he uses that money to invest in somethjng else that he sees more value in. Notice though, he did not part with some things becuase they had sentimental value, they were the things he and his son shared. Not saying This is what happened here but maybe?
It takes a lot of time and effort to sell things for anywhere near the going rate. Like months if not years of effort for all that stuff. Sometimes life smacks you across the face and forces your priorities to change and you may not have the ability to invest all that time into selling it all individually to get the most from it.

Great finds. When I was younger for a long time I collected Star Trek and STTNG stuff. Had the dolls, bought every comic, paperback and magazine. Wish I had held on to em. My brother had a phaser and communicator with belt in the 70s and remember Max Machine with a clicker. Happy New Year
Please keep making these videos. I love to see your passion for what you are collecting. I had that same passion when I used to collect my baseball cards. I have learned quite a bit of knowledge on a vast array of toys and collectibles from you. Even if you overpay by a little just think of the new connections you might get from some of his collector friends. That being said have a Happy New Year .

I'm going through the same thing with my lifelong collection of sports cards, comics and record albums (all from the 60s and 70s). Been selling them off for the last three years, still got a ways to go.
