I guess we all have different tastes 😂😂. They said they like the original flavor more, but here in the Philippines we even have a meme regarding the original flavor being left behind in rows and rows of shelves just because it's not so popular to our taste 😂😂. We love our Kalamansi! ❤
And yeah, that's a small portion indeed. 😢😅

Calamansi is the best flavour for me and the most popular flavour in Philippines especially the spicy version!! 😆 it’s because we have this food called pancit (which is like stir fried noodles) and we put calamansi on it to have that zesty flavour, that’s why we have calamansi flavour. This one tho has a more artificial taste to it so it could be a bit weird to others (but us filipinos grew up eating this so it’s delicious for us🤣)

    • @arttheseven5526

Pancit Canton is a usual snack.
If we do research, projects, thesis, etc.
There's always someone who got the role of cooking Pancit Canton.
It's usually done by the one who doesn't contribute that much on school works, so it would at least make things a little fair for the hard worker and intelligent ones 😂

Try to half cook the noodles, then pour most of the water out the pan, leave enough to continue cooking then mix the sauce together with the noodles while cooking. I like to cook it this way so the flavors from the sauce and powder goes really well with the noodles and its not so dry when you put it out on the plate.

To put it simply, pancit canton is extremely popular for relieving stress from work, school, and other sources. It reminds me of Korean fried chicken. As far as I know, Koreans enjoy spicy ("VERY??") chicken and ramen, which they often pair with beer. However, in the Philippines, pancit canton is roughly equivalent to those. I could consume 3 to 4 packs of Pancit canton per night while doing schoolwork (college student). So it's good that they tried those flavors.

Lucky me only had original flavor when they released pancit canton to the public. It only started to have variations because Filipinos started to experiment with it like what our family did. We added mo soy sauce, or added kalamnsi, or added both. I guess many families did that too and lucky me gave us what we wanted.
But the noodles they are using now are not the same noodles that we were used to before. Now it tastes different and of lesser volume.

Unlike Korean noodles where it is recommended to leave some of the water from the noodles after boiling it, Philippines pancit canton is different. You're supposed to drain all the water. They aren't supposed to have soup in it. I noticed that the guest cooked the Pancit canton like they do in Korean dry ramen. It could have affected the taste of the pancit canton especially the spicy ones. That small amount of water made it less spicy.

I tasted pancit canton before like 2 days ago and it was good
I never tasted the original, but I'll give a tutorial
    1. Grab a plate and spoon
    2. Mix seasoning on plate
    3. Cook noodles
    4. Mix seasoning to pancit canton
    5. Serve and enjoy

In Philippines there's also "Payless Xtra Big Pancit Canton", and I think that's more delicious than Lucky Me Pancit Canton, and that's also bigger.

hahahhahaha. love your video. the jam you are talking about is actually the oil. it just become solid due to the cold weather or airconditioned room. the calamansi aroma and flavor is already mix in the powder mixture.

Filipinos don't normally have the same tolerance level for spicy foods as Korea however there is a place here in the PH known as Bicol region where they are known for their spicy cuisines. The locals also love spicy foods. Some famous must-try foods from Bicol are the Bicol Express, Laing, and Sili/Chili Ice Cream.

@@unknownph537 Not sure about the entire Mindanao region because I lived there and there are a lot of my friends who can't take spicy foods. Some spicy dishes I know that I haven't seen in Luzon are Balbacua and Kinilaw though.
