I'm learning loads watching your channel!! Your straightforward, informative, and above all, no bullshit approach is spot on. One day, I'll achieve "tit in a shed" status and be very happy. Cheers, Andy.

Love these bikes, really should source one for myself! Glad to see yours has the original twin pipes rather than those horrid Motad 2 into 1 bodges that most of them have been downgraded to. A very worthwhile upgrade is to get the twin front disc assembly, as fitted to the 400N, if you are able to source the parts. Following this build with interest.

Thanks mate but I have to get this thing moving before I worry too much about stopping the bugger!

NAT you can soften the carb rubbers with 1 part wintergreen oil to 4 parts isopropyl alcohol in a container or glass jar drop carb rubbers in and soak for a day or more till they are soft .You probably know this already matey 😊

Glad you got a good frame at sensible money. My comment most certainly wasn't intended to set unrealistic expectations, this is a pretty basic bike and i'd be surprised if you dont take everything it throws at you in your stride. ( Sorry if this Jinx's anything ) 😂

Surly it’s up to you what you do.
The 250 Super-dream was an attractive but flawed machine that was very slow and cheaply made.
Now viewed as something special like the CX500 etc.
As long as your having fun that’s all that matters 😊

This is probably the best response video I have ever seen on UA-cam. I am sure it makes everyone wish you well with your endeavours. Top man not just A TIT IN A SHED. Great slogan I'm waiting for the T shirt or mug

Good result on the frame 👍 No doubt you've seen Matt's recent tutorial on removing seized bolts - could be useful in the days to come! 🙄

Wow Nat, that comes across super complex in the UK. Prices are definitely cheaper but so much red tape. Just so I understand, the registration plate follows the lifetime of the vehicle & is tagged to that vehicle? If you buy a vehicle without the number plate, it costs a lot to re-register? How much in £ are we talking about?
Cheers for your impatience! Just do it your way.

I posted a reply regarding the electrical issues and after getting the bike running I needed a fuel tank, seat and new tyres.went to the local bike breakers in wargrave withy shopping list and came away with a 400n rolling chassis with logbook for £100.00
Initially I put the 250 engine in the 400n frame and at a later date fitted a 400 engine.

There's a well known UA-camr that's been passing himself off as something he's not for many years, a bodger of the highest order passing out bad, sometimes dangerous, information as fact. You've got nothing to worry about mate.
You were ten minutes down the road from me, could've swung round for a brew.

That bike is proper tidy. Doesn't matter if you don't know what you're doing if you know you don't know what you're doing.
New frame's a good 'un, you'll need a grinding disk in your grinder to get the centre stand out, though.
