    You can tell that you are truly passionate about building this bike. So many people just whip up a bike that looks horrible. Yours looks brilliant - still simple and easy, but not too complicated. Well done!

    Thank you. I have two potential bikes to rebuild (CMX250 and VT700C). Your build taught me more about symmetry and the importance to the results than I realized.

    Thanks Daniel I just obtained a CB 250 RS and will do a similar build to yours. Thanks for listing all the parts you used this is very helpful. You need to watch out grinding near your car.

      Nice bike, good luck with your project.
      Yours is a single, more torque at lower rpms = more fun!

    Cool video and nice build! I love that you talked about the proportions of the components of the bike (in detail) for an attractive build. I feel the one you missed was lowering the headlight to where the top of the headlight is even with the top of the gas tank. It is usually very simple to do and gives a cafe racer style bike an extremely sleek look. A very subtle detail that goes a long way to make a sexy machine.

      Hi Michael, thank you, I never thought about moving the headlight but will look into it, now I'm curious;)

    Very elegant for a retro look to that 80hawk Honda design. BSA 60s. Reusing the original seat (pan) with new vinyl or leather was good, and avoided having to chop up the frame. The CB250 with that swooping seat means than no flat bottomed cafe seat will fit unless you:
    1 chop the frame severely adding a long loop (which becomes too close to the rear tire) or
    2 you straighten the rails, which causes the same problem.
    3 Doing neither, but just propping up a cafe seat with risers makes the very ugly gap below and a wiggle seat.
    For those that do not upholster from scratch:
    I found that that the CB360T replacement seat cover from the 80s is almost the same as the nighthawk but with a flatter cleaner top allowing more cushion. Build up the rider dish padding level with the passenger, and cover with the 360 replacement cover (usually about $50US). At that point you may keep or toss the taillight box (depending on your desires) and even the side plastics.

    Amazing build I really like it. But I must say. Please wear shoes or boots to protect your feet. I'm not trying to be a jerk. But I learned a hard painful lesson working in my garage on my car. I wore sandals and I broke my big toe on my right foot. Got 10 stitches and lost my toenail. It was very painful. Be safe. But that bike is amazing. Great work. 👍👍👍

      No problem! I have a few questions in regard to the mods you did, if you wouldn't mind answering!
      Did you grind down the excess metal on the bottom of the tank to make the lines cleaner?
      Did you do the upholstery work or custom?
      Did you change wiring for the LED signals?
      hope to hear from you! THANKS :)

    • @corridasloucas
      @corridasloucas  9 років тому

      +_ Nerdify Sure:
      1-No, just paint matt black.
      2-No, it was a nearby upholstery shop. To be honest it´s not 100% what I wanted but good enough.
      3-The indicators are small regular bulbs, not led but you´ll need the relay I have in the links for them to work.
      The tail/brake light is leds and no wiring is needed, it is plug and play, all you need to do is crimp new terminals on the wires and connect.
      Thanks:)

      +Daniel Geraldo Thanks for all your help. I plan on picking one of these bikes up but before i do, I'd really like to hear how it fit you? Seat height/leg room e.g. How tall are you? looking forward to hearing back!

    • @corridasloucas
      @corridasloucas  9 років тому

      +_ Nerdify I´m 5´9"/155lbs or 176m/70Kg, it´s very confortable and fun to ride once you replace the handlebar with a wider one.
      The seat height is fine for me but you shoud try before you buy, it is a matter of personal preference.

    Love the philosophy behind this build...what a result, too!
    I have a couple of questions: how do you find the new riding position with the passenger pegs? Is it more cramped than the stock configuration? If not, would you recommend having your peg configuration with the stock handlebars?
    Greetings from ur neighbour in Spain :)

    • @corridasloucas
      @corridasloucas  7 років тому

      ¡Hola
      The big improvement is the handlebar, the pegs go well with it but it’s not a big difference. So with stock handlebars is not worthy to modify the pegs.

      I've got a nicely painted two-fifty I just bought...and a few plans in mind for it. Your video serves as a huge source of inspiration. Good job on it, sir!!

    how did you modify the fuel tank? Original, the tank has two corners pointing downward. (still present when you film the painting). On the finished build, the tank has a straight lint on the bottom.
    Did you piant the corners black, or did you do something else?

      Just painted the corners matt black.
      The optical illusion works even when you stand next to it :)

    I apologize but I'll probably post a few comment/questions under here. Was tail light and signal wiring pretty straight forward? did you have to move the battery?

      +HamBone123456789ten It's all right:) The tail light wiring is pretty simple.
      I didn't move the battery, a cover is a good idea though, I don't have one yet.

    Hi! Trying to see what you did with the battery. Do you have any photos of what you did to cover the battery?

    Hi Daniel, first off all great bike and project. Quick question if you don't mind. Where did you put the battery of the bike?

      @corridasloucas  8 років тому

      +stijn van schagen It's in the same place, at 10:56 you can see a red spot, is the +.
      I should get a cover to hide it but haven't done it yet.
      Thanks;)

      Podes dizer mais ou menos qual foi o total custo da transformação ?

    • @corridasloucas
      @corridasloucas  7 років тому

      Na descrição do vídeo pus as peças, cerca de 300€ em material, fora a mão de obra.
