I could sense the apprehension during the application process 😵💫 bloody well done sir!!! Sticker quality causing repaint is just infuriating!!! Well handled though. Cheers, Andy.
Hi Nat, I think the decals are one of the most difficult to get perfect on the superdream - especially on the tank. I owned a couple of these bikes when they came out - (the first CB250N, and the later CB250NB Deluxe - my brother also had a CB250NA) I see many refurnbs where the Tank stickers in particular are often placed not quite correctly - unfortunately my eye is drawn to it immediately. The original decals were placed so that the decal and "Honda" is more horizontal than at a slope. I think someone should make a template to help position the Tank decals because it is clearly very difficult. I did find a forum (Ultimate Superdream Forum) where someone had done some very careful measurements to assist accurate placement for the tank decals. The Superdream came with mainly 2 different Tank and seat styles. Your model is based on the original CB250N or CB250NA. The seat decals you originally chose (the skinny tick) are the correct style for your seat cowl. I believe the larger flared decals are for the later CB250NB models which has a larger flared seat cowl (similar to a number of the largers hondas of the time such as the CB900F). It would seem that the decal set is meant to cover both the CB250NA and the later CB250NB models. The Tank on the later CB250NB had "knee scoops" in the tank so its a surprise that the Tank decals for both of these models would be exactly the same? I''m not critising as I'm sure this process is very difficult. I also wonder if the aftermarket decal shape may drive the placement when trying to get them flat?
It looks a nice job Nat, I’ve not seen a black super dream before. I would keep the graphics on the tale factory as if you want to sell it some anarak may find it a sticking point lol!
I really don't want to be the one to say this, but those tank decals look a bit low to me. Not that it really matters, the result is great, and it's always good to laquer over the stickers.
I avoid decals from ebay. You just never know what the quality is going to be like. My go to place is Image works. Had a couple of sets from them alway great quality. Dont know what you paid for those but a full set for my RD250 which i bought end of last year was around fifty quid. They also made me some one offs for a Triumph i had a few years ago. Again great quality went on easy with the soapy water method.
Ah, so you got the standard, crap customer service response, "no-one has ever complained before" (which they tell everyone who complains), usually accompanied by "you couldn't have fitted it right", or "you must have ordered the wrong part". All on the list of stock excuses to try to convince customers it's their own fault, whatever the complaint. Paintwork is looking great, despite the hiccups with the graphics (I couldn't fault your application technique, and I've seen it done to hundreds of vans by a professional signwriter friend).

Thank you! Cheers!
Well disappointment aside for one moment, you made applying the decals to the tank look so bloody simple, I wonder why it took me HOURS! 👍
I think Nat that the thicker tail decals are for the deluxe with the duck tail - thin ones for the standard
It seems to vary depending on where I llok!

Can't comment on the decals but the paint job looks immaculate. Rattle cans , or do you have a spray gun?
I have both but I find cans easier for small jobs
🏍👍👍👍👍
Cheers dude

If they are low, they are staying there! Thanks mate
Please pardon me Nat but why are you bothering with decals and the bike has no engine in the frame
Just keeping busy and its easier tp dip in and out of bodywork in a busy work week

Thanks mate, very kind of you.
