this guy ....wow he doest talk much,.but he know what he is doing.. i will give him a 10..he deserves 10... very good guy... you are the best...ive learned a lot from you... thank you much...
When pressing the hub back in are you supporting the bearing on the back side to keep the center of the bearing from pushing out or just supporting the hub assembly
hi AVP automotive! thanks for your vid! my questions: 1/ where did you get that piece of metal that you used with the press to insert your ball bearing into the hub? 2/ what is the reference of your Milwaukee torque impact wrench (is it a 18, a 20 a 12 volt? wht is the working torque? wht is the peak torque? how long does it last before changing battery?) i need one before doing my clutch but do not know which torque impact wrench to buy? obviously the more expensive kit is good but do not have the money, need one handy not that expensive but not the first price with bad torque! THANKS FOR YOUR TIME Farid :-]
Hello, I am using bearing pressing kit M21-1 from Harbor freight. The impact is the Milwaukee Fuel M18, 1400 ft-lbs of nut-busting torque and 1000 ft-lbs of fastening torque.
I use silicone on the caliper bolts so it doesn't come loose with the vibration. I don't use loctite because silicone is more practical to me. Can also use a little bit of spray paint.
Yes, this will affect the alignment of the car because the knuckle is being remove. You would have to mark the position of the bolts and put it back at the same location to keep it somewhat aligned.

Thanks for the detail
E visto muchos videos de los profesionales ellos no le ponen grasa en el bearing yo le doy un 6 de calificasion
Great video
It looks good.... But can you tell whats the bearing number for honda civic 1.8V 8th gen 2007 model?
Great job
Good one

Supporting the hub, but I put a stopper where I want the bearing to stop. This way I don't press the bearing pass the speed sensor.
Holy shit. Like the easiest bearing retaining ring ever to remove. mine is completely rusted/welded to the spindle
The advantage of California weather, where do you live?
@@avpautomotive6337 haha no doubt, paradise weather! Yeah I live in Ohio. It gets worse as you move up north of course.
Ensure bearing is pressed in correct side as for the anti lock brakes one side is magnetic
I'm thinking of doing this. Kind of nervous. I'm no mechanic
Thanks for mentioning "magnetic side of bearing". Is this for the ABS sensor?
Yes, its for the ABS sensor.

Excellent presentation! Well photographed and precise. Did you mean "Loctite" on brake caliper bolts (or silicone in the caption)?
I use silicone on the caliper bolts so it doesn't come loose with the vibration. I don't use loctite because silicone is more practical to me. Can also use a little bit of spray paint.
How far in did you press the bearing? Just until it reaches so the hole stays open for the ABS sensor?
Yes
I ❤ love milwaukee
I feel the same way, makes every job easier.
@@avpautomotive6337 you rigth.
How long did the actual repair take in real time?
It took me about one one hour.
Where did you buy the round plates/spacers?
Harbor freight
what is the part numer from harbor freight?

bro if i buy a moog hub assembly do i still have to press?
Yes, still has to be press.
Nervous when ur under the car without a jack stand 😐
are you near a formula 1 track? :)
Lol, its the freeway.
what if i only want to remove the hub?
Rent the hub remover from autozone, no need to remove the knuckle. Move knuckle to the side, take the axle out of the knuckle and use the hub remover.
@@avpautomotive6337 nvm took it to the shop instead :/ -$300
What year is the car?
2007
Why is he replacing the wheel hub? Doing the bearing is ok.
Personal preference, if i am already there why not replace it.
I'd only everyone had a press like that I need to do mine soon I know how to do it but $300 for the tool itself it's horrible
Press is $169 at harbor freight, that is as much as paying for someone to do it for you.
The slide hammer couldn't take the hub off so I now have to buy the damn press smh. $140 but its whatever.
Yeah I had tried slide hammer from autozone before and couldn't take it out.
How long would you say this took you?
About an hour.
