I unfortunately knew all of the people involved... They were all regulars at the nightclub where I worked. It still makes me sick to think about how many times I greeted that monster with a friendly hello. My love to Kevin's family. He was a sweet and kind soul. Rest peaceful, my friend. Thank you, EWU, for covering his story.
Crazy to think this shit happens in our mitten of paradise.. My mother in law lives a block away from the Justice Stilwel murder house and frequent the area where most of him was found. Fucking scary out here. Wild West 2.0
The police said, that if the guy didn't decide to press charges that's how it'd go they literally COULDN'T do more. IF he had just said yes that would give them the right to investigate like wtf
@ranwilliams1117 they still have the right to investigate regardless of that guy wanting to press charges. This is obviously a disturbing encounter. The cops used their discretion to just not look into it. Lazy police work.
@stephenchampagne1534 and they did what do you think going to his house and questioning him is called 🤣 but since the guy didn't press charges, they couldn't press the issue after the guy said it was consensual as they TOLD him he was gonna do.
@@rebeccagutierrez8170 according to another commenter who contacted him on Grindr as a minor, he rejected them immediately upon finding out. the commenter even seemed offended which is the real kicker lol. judging from how stupid this kid was, it could've been easy for him if he wanted to. but he isn't a pedophile, which i guess is one silver lining.
@@robertritt9108well he did literally have bad mental health problems so he was insane in a way lol I'm obviously not excluding what he did and I know most people with mental health problems aren't a danger to others though to be clear! All I'm saying is he definitely did have mental health issues so insane is kinda right. One of the EWU channels did a long vid on all this already so I'm debating whether it's worth watching this
i have an issue with the cops in the November incident. The cop's tone was more victim blaming and disgust. Reminds me of the naked boy that the cops came upon and Dahmer came up to say it was a lovers dispute. The kid was so drugged up, but all the cops could do was snicker and just wanted away from that situation, they handed the kid back to Dahmer who later killed the kid.
Know the issue was the kid didn't want to press charges. Therefore they could not start investigation unless he wanted to. So him calling the cops it was completely pointless because there's nothing they can do if he doesn't want to press charges.
Yea! Most of the time i dislike dramatic music especially when viewing true crime. It can be way too distracting. Also the absence of dramatic music will make this video timeless in a way
Yeah, I saw this case on another channel and it was hard to stay interested because of the extra animations, music, and the narrator just didn't have the fire that the EWU guy does

@@ILIKEUALOT you'd probably be shocked by the kind of companions criminals are willing to tolerate or befriend. I think it’s wild that some guy running half naked away and wanting to press charges, and all the police do to investigate is talk to the guy So if I get kidnapped in managed to escape, and I tell the cops exactly where to find my kidnapper. They just going to talk to him and say that he did nothing wrong and believe him immediately. Like they were grilling, the younger guy running away in fear like he’s the problem And they talk to the older guy like it’s an inconvenience that they’re even needing to investigate
He is psychotic and lives in constant delusions…he talks about it very nonchalantly and all logic and reasoning is gone. Dude is in his own world and has been for some time.
It’s really gut wrenching how many horrible crimes would never had happened if people had simply pressed charges. It’s baffling how these monsters repeatedly get away with serious crimes and are able to escalate as they go.
Crazy part is the only reason why they know the killer is lying is because the victim had family that could speak for him. If the victim had no family and no one to talk for him this killer story would probably be believable and all his crazy stories would in court be blamed on mental health and he would of got away with it.
Thankfully, it's not that easy. Almost every killer that tries to plead insanity gets denied, and even in cases like this, the "insanity" part means that they weren't of sound mind when committing the crime, i.e. they didn't know what they were doing. But in this case, and most cases like it, Mark clearly had plans to kill Kevin, and it was predetermined. So he would not be able to plead insanity.
The fact he's blaming it on mental health is true. It all started with entertaining wrong thoughts. Why do you think s.....ide , de....p ..ssion and sh....ame is so common among the ..... Community? Because it's mental health and evil being accepted by society as good
I interactd with the killer when i worked at home depot service desk. He was an asshole. I remember one of my managers saying he gave him his personal cell number if he had any complaints and began sending him inappropriate photos. And yes he wore his kilt everytime. Kinda hard to forget that.
I felt the same. They treated him like a sexual deviant who was asking for it (much like they do prostitutes and rape victims), if they had treated him as a potential victim of a serious crime, they would have probably been able to get a search warrant for his address sooner and put this situation to bed before someone died.
I actually thought they were kinda chill. They could tell he was fibbing a bit and being kinda sheepish... so they tried to talk about it like it wasn't a big deal - and it worked. By speaking of it casually he was more inclined to admit it. Did I miss something? I'm open to being wrong I just didn't hear them mocking or snickering or being sarcastic... what'd I miss?

He makes himself out to be such a compassionate saint. Mostly what he is, is entitled and sanctimonious. It is a huge tell how he pretends to be baffled about why the previous guy abandoned his own possessions and ran mostly naked down the road. And then he pretends to think that the escaped victim just wanted to steal his most expensive piece of leather. He hints at what is a very typical psychopathic trait. Which is telling the truth about themselves in such a way that people don’t believe it or think it’s a joke. “I killed Kevin Bacon, Kevin Bacon is my hero.” Yes, he may well be paranoid, but he is an evil, knowing, sly, calculating sadistic, mendacious bastard.
yeah, they need to be inpatient or in supervised supportive housing. But we spend so much money on jails and war that we can't take care of the safety of people and trying to treat seriously mentally ill people. somehow its easier to jail people than to house/treat them and then they go out and hurt others in society, winding up in jail with great collateral damage. SO backwards.

8:30 it’s always blows my mind how patrol officers fail to properly investigate sex crimes . Intentional or not, whether it’s uncomfortable or not, and whether you’re familiar with the type of acts are all moot points. It’s the exact same reason Jeffery Dahmer was able to be handed back Konerak Sinthasomphone and went on to later take his life.
Its crazy how uncomfortable police are when dealing with sex crimes. Gay or not. So disgusting that they are not willing to be uncomfortable to stop that type of violence.
It blows my mind how these kinda fetishes are common enough amongst homosexuals that police have to consider it may have just been typical homosexual kink stuff.
@@nira5221 yeah, I think women policewomen would not have the same reservation, they sense these things better and act upon it... men in general are sooo scared to be called gay (if they even try to sympathise with these kind of problems) it's sad...

It was hard to listen to him because I’m like wtf is he talking about. I got lost trying to hear the confession and it’s a narrator on the video telling you how to understand.
I saw Kevin on Grindr often. It scares me a bit to think that this could have been me. Meeting people from the internet is such a gamble. Stay safe ya'll.
@DekodaDraws Yeah, I put this video on as something to fall asleep to and then ended up sitting here in disbelief. It hits different when you know the person. Needless to say, I didn't sleep much.
Should have given him warm clothes, reassurance and water at the station before even mentioning filing an official report. The guy just ran for his life.
He was afraid to file a report because he didn’t want his wife to find out that he was meeting men for sex. He refused to help the cops by pressing charges so they could arrest Latunski. They got angry with him. It’s just like when they respond to a DV call but the woman won’t press charges and they know the man is just gonna hit her again.
There's always going to be the 'man on man' assault that heterosexual men, no matter what, refuse to see a victim and perpetrator. It's outside their purview. 😞
Never thought a story so close to home would be on here… I worked with Kevin’s sister when this happened. We all just thought he was missing and would be back relatively soon because he’d disappeared in the past. His sister invited all of us (coworkers) to her favorite bar to support her and try and lift her spirits a bit. They ended up finding his body that morning…
@@prettypearls26 I didn't feel disturbed at all I'd be pretty weirded out too if a guy was in the backseat ranting like a psychopath and I had to deal with that driving him to the police station.
It’s crazy how you can sleep with someone and then they try to kill you like you were nothing. Hookups should at least mean something to people they shared their body with you it has to have some meaning people are so messed up
The cops job is to make the criminal comfortable enough to brag, tell them everything, spin their tale. So the cops will keep affirming. But it sure as heck gets really weird when they do that.
I will never understand how in some countries if there's evidence of an assault the police don't press charges if the victim doesn't want it. Where I live, as soon as someone makes a statement, police can press charges even if the victim never says a word
same in America, "The State of Michigan vs mark david latunski" however the cop that asked him that was thinking this was nothing and just some weird gays so he was putting the onus on the victim. At that point what was his crime? Shouting for his kilt back? The cop was basically saying, "look, he hasn't commited a crime, this is all batshit crazy and you dont even want to press charges. The wildest part of this case to me is that the first guy who ran scared from Mark was the one who chatted with him on the cannibal site arranging to be eaten n asking for a kill room etc. Then after he went there almost got killed n ran he refused to give the police any important details and CONTINUED chatting with Mark after the incident AND was privy to the kill room improvements after him, the luring, murder and eating of poor Kevin. He got pictures of everything from Mark and even had an arrangement to see Mark AGAIN when all this went down. One might say this dude thought Mark was role playing but not after his own experience AND considering the message n photos he got afterwards. Shouldn't that guy be an accessory or be charged with obstruction at that point??
I mean, the way the cops talked to him was pretty shameful and gaslighting, plus he didn't want people to know he was into that kind of stuff or he didn't want everyone to know he was gay
I think he was more embarrassed than anything and the cops definitely gave off vibes of "well you put yourself in this situation, so don't waste our time". Hardly any support from law enforcement encouraging him to use his rights.
I feel so awful for Kevin. Meeting up with someone on grindr on Christmas eve sounds like a move made out of loneliness. Wanting to feel something. All of the disgusting comments implying he asked for this because he tried to have a one night stand is insane. R.i.p.
He might not have asked for it, but he put himself in the position, many times. All gay men I've known through work have been extremely promiscuous...it's part of the culture. Just a matter of time.
The way this man talks sets off alarm bells in my head. I've been around a couple others in my life who were similar. They would say the most chilling things so casually, as if we were just discussing the weather.
Dang those first cops totally shut down that victim that had to escape and was chased down the street. You could tell he did not want to talk after that cop came at him with so much cynicism and laziness. Similar to Jeffrey Dahmer the cops do not take gay men or women serious.
Depends on the area. If you live in a blue area, there's a good chance the lgbtqia community will be taken seriously. In a red area/state, not a chance in hell, unfortunately.
Normally I skip a video when I've seen the case on other channels. Not when you guys post, though! You always have details/videos/pictures that others don't include!
“You’re going to treat it like a homicide” Yeah buddy…because you killed someone. This man is absolutely tapped. I’m sickened that he was able to harm one but the fact that he was already part of suspicious activity and was able to continue? This was absolutely preventable.
EWU, never stop doing what you're doing. Your videos are great; nicely narrated, great audio, professionally handled, no annoying background music. You're one of the best true crime channels, hands down.
"Sir, what is your name?" Mark: "Well, we gotta first wind the clocks back to 1972..." Dude gives a Tolkien Novel's worth of info to every simple question he's asked
"What's your first name?" Mark answers, "Ummmmm." Then goes into this crazy monologue about a black-eyed cripple when they ask him his last name. But who has to hesitate before they say their first name? That was a huge red flag, along with everything else he said and how he behaved.
He knew this day was coming. That's why he has so much to say. He's finally "stepping into the light" so to speak. So might as well get it all out there.
I just threw up in my mouth a bit. This is absolutely horrific. Rest in peace, Kevin. I hope your family can heal from this. This guy is just plain NUTS.
I have reported. It was horrific. If I was confronted and treated like those cops did to the victim I wouldn't have pressed charges either. Would not feel safe doing so.
True, but it's hard to do so when a cop is doing all they can to persuade you to not do so. When it comes to a minority in a community that isn't too accepting, it's easier to be manipulated by authorities who'd rather not deal with you and your "queer" problems. Finding a supportive cop in red areas is like finding a diamond in the rough.
So we have not one not two but three men being tied up in a basement, two of them refusing to press charges and one of them willingly going back to spend 4 more days under his roof? Then we have the same man receiving odd texts from him and "oops i deleted the messeges". Not only is the man himself strange but so is the company he keeps.
And his response was so interesting - “No, I don’t have time for that goofy shit” A normal person with no ill intentions would’ve been flabbergasted and insulted!
@ no I meant before the cops got called he was running up to houses and begging them to let him in but they were too freaked out. He was convinced the guy was hunting him. But yes he definitely should have pressed charges!
To be fair, i would be freaked out if a man in a leather kilt was banging on my door to let him him. I've already had a schizophrenic man try to get into my house one day. When the cops arrived they already knew who it was. Its scary when you dont know a person intentions
I have been WAITING for this video. I am originally from this area and went to the same high school Kevin Bacon attended. At the time of all of this, I was in a law class where my teacher explained that he formerly had the victim as a student back in the day and we covered the case in detail as it progressed. It was all truly so crazy and it is so awesome to see such a thorough examination of this case. Great job as always EWU!
@trisarahtops202 I find it a little weird to make your students study a murder case that gruesome, that’s recent, that happened in your area, with a victim you personally knew, and all of that in law class, in high school (so if it understand correctly it’s mostly minors you give course to). And in detail, and not even in a preventive / overview kind of way to just inform and make the children aware of risks and the law… The teacher seems kinda weird or lacking sensibility in this case if that’s really what happened and I understood correctly.
@@EntrxpicWhxreUmmm, pretty sure it's actually a college/law school setting. Also, I recall covering stuff like Jack the Ripper in high school, as well as all the absolute atrocities of the holocaust, which quite frankly is FAR more gruesome and for many personal.
I was almost a victim of this man the September before the murder. Very illuminating watch. Will never forget the day I found out that Kevin’s killer was this man.
Scary that killer dude has 4 children and 90% of schizophrenia is hereditary from the father's side. Hope mom keeps an eye on those kiddos and get them help later in life if they need it. Those cops treated that first victim deplorably. They definitely didn't want him to make a report and add to their workload. Hope they regret that now at least and learned to do better.
I disagree. They clearly were wanting to know whether they could actually pursue anything on the guy and the victim acted like the average battered spouse that refuses to press charges yet knowingly allows the perpetrator to continue. At a certain point accountability matters.
There is only a 6% chance that a child will develop it if a parent has it, more so if it's the mother. You can lower your chances by not drinking, using drugs and managing stress. Also schizophrenia doesn't often result in this lol this is extreme

Nooo this man had crazy in the face in both pictures! We have to be able to read people before we spend time with them, my God. It’s always in the eyes.
I talked to people like this volunteering on the crisis hotline. They are not shy and quite proud of their deeds. Most are in crisis but tou get people that like to confess to some really sick stuff. It can be extremely taxing. They go over the smallest of detail in their confessions. Most of the time when the police are called out it is just someone fantasizing. I disagree and call it is something thay have planning to do. No crime scene so no arrest says the laws. They haven't done it yet. The law says it is freedom of speech. You have to wait until they follow through with their plans/threats
His story was eerily similar to the Armin Meiwes case, where the suspect got the consent of an individual to kill and eat him. He recorded the whole thing and it was genuinely consented to by both parties. Armin was tried twice, the second time receiving life in prison for murder. He even hung his victim to the ceiling as well. I wonder if this man had heard of this case and had some sort of fantasy from it.
The perversity in both cases is unbelievable. How does anyone start having such crazy thoughts and not get scared and seek help at any time? The fact that there are online places where people like this meet is disturbing. Why don't police act on it? They at the absolute least need mental health help.
My mom is a chemist. Those are some very smart people. It's sad how far untreated mental illness can make a person fall. Just from the drivers license photos showing the progression from a fairly handsome man turning into looking like that cartoon in that 'alpha male' meme, it's a significant change in appearance alone. His house looks like it's a pretty cool house, too. Y'know, except for the creepy murder sex dungeon.
Omg. I was looking for this exact comment! Part of me feels terrible and sick because he’s such a demented POS, but then; another part of me keeps pausing certain crime scene moments and wondering about the architecture and the why’s of which certain moldings are placed; how do you build a bedroom ceiling like that, the beams are truly beautiful. But he still killed an innocent person in a horrific way when he definitely didn’t have too. Man, I suck. Sorry. RIP KEVIN BACON!
I would argue that we have it backwards. "Mental illness", an overused blanket term, being misattributed as the cause for evil behaviour, when it is rather the outcome of such behaviour. An unavoidable outcome of falling further and further into reprobate and devious imaginations of the sinful heart of man. In essence, his changing drivers' license photo is the outward manifestation of the growing inward beast.
I don't think that was his first rodeo. He had the dirt ready to absorb the blood and knew how he was going to get rid of the body. I think he has done it before.
Perhaps if the cop would've taken the kilt guy seriously and encouraged him to file a report this poor guy wouldn't be dead. Very sad how that poor guy was treated in my opinion.
Yes but you can still make a report. If there are several reports or complaints against the guy, like non consent to sexual violence, that’s coercive rape. So with multiple reports, like that, a cop can choose to go to court and call the victims in as a witness and something can be done. Some people choose not to go to court because it’s their word against the peep’s word or because they fear retaliation. But a police officer can choose to take it to court. So, yes, things can work out, potentially. I’m sure that that cop took a report anyways, or should have.
or if he even had not actively discouraged him. My god, the guy abandoned his possessions to run near naked down the road. Why would any grown man do that unless in fear? But this creep (who never did put away his dog as asked, or come close enough for his face to be seen properly) every time the cop asks, “Was he chained up?” he answers with non-sequiturs like, “Uh…well…he was here today…” The cop offers him loaded questions like, “So he was free to leave any time, right?” then answers them himself anyway. Then the guy, after pretending like a three-year-old that he doesn’t know why the escapee escaped, and then switching to “it was to steal my most valuable piece of leather,” he then actually says, “I took my eye completely off him.” That applies to no consensual interaction: that’s exactly how you speak of an escapee.
As a gay man with interest in BDSM who has used apps (namely Grindr) to arrange potential hookups (I say potential because I've only ever had one) this genuinely made me delete the app. Though I am careful, get to know people first, keep an eye out for red flags, always meet in public first and always tell someone where I'm going, this made my stomach turn. I'm a small guy, 5'6, 150lbs, I would not stand a chance if an older and stronger man decided he wanted to hurt me. Nope. This genuinely put me off so hard.
@@ar2043: In JD's case the police literally handed the teen back to him. In this case, the police were willing to do their job, but the victim declined.
Ugh those cops piss me off so much. It's just like the ones laughing about the boy that escaped Jeffrey Dahmer and they just brought him back to him to be killed. They seem to have no problem investigating suspicious activity but a gay man being kidnapped is treated like an annoyance to them.
I did delivery in Michigan and two other states in the 80’s. Those days are full of dead kids and adults. I’ve seen things. I’ve felt things. I am alive because I trusted my intuition and got gone fast.

Right!? Super manipulative! He obviously thought this out. He knew when and how to answer questions to make it seem like he was actually insane. People like this, like that other cannibal that they made the movie "Grimm Love" about, really make me give thought to what insane really means...
Bingo. He is nuts, yes. He’s paranoid in a grandoise way. Grandiosity, I think, was already baked in. He is also constantly lying (he slows right down when he thinks out his lies) he is calculating, he has that “in front of your very eyes” impunity - the psychopathic delight in telling people he “killed Kevin Bacon” , knowing they will misinterpret that as a delusion or off colour joke. He is humungously entitled and holier-than-thou, making himself out to be some sort of compassionate saint. (But delights in going out with the victim’s blood on his body.) One huge, obvious tell (among many) about the escaped victim is when he said that he had “taken my eyes completely off him”. This is how you speak about a prisoner or captive. If it had really consensual, this remark would be nonsensical.

psychology student here. a lot of the comments here are baffling to me... describing mark as chilling, implying he's calculating, etc. like, you really think a man who seems to be existing on another level of reality (poisoned wells wherever he goes, living under a stolen identity) is going to carry through a murder on the same line of thought as we as an audience expect: extensive planning, manipulation etc.? he was so calm during the whole interrogation and barely seemed to react upon being arrested and removed from the interrogation room. it really wouldn't surprise me if mark genuinely thought he did the right thing and would be going home after he explained it all. he's not thinking like a lot of the other killers we see. (because this is the internet i of course have to clarify that of course this case is tragic and kevin didn't deserve his fate. i'm just confused at the way people seem to be profiling mark in the comments)
I was able to know some psychotic and even schizophrenic people during my life and I must say that he and his whole behavior, reminds me of some of them. Maybe he's schizophrenic and on medication (don't forget that these drugs are taking a certain time to work) and if he was taking his pills during the time when he was detained, it would take a time to get them out of his system. Schizophrenic people are usually hard to handle and can't stay on one topic (are normally unable to have a calm and orderly conversation with someone), when you try to talk with them. He reminds me actually of someone who have a drug induced psychosis because he's acting like he really seems to believe that he didn't do something wrong. Maybe he just has a very serious psychosis and those cannibalism and/or S&M forums were dragging him further in to the idea, thats nothing wrong with him. I'm not a psychologist and even if I would working in these field, I definitely couldn't give a diagnosis from these few snippets, especially when I was not in the room during the interrogation or afterwards. It's just not possible to give a diagnosis when you can't watch a person in the eyes and smell him (most schizophrenic I knew over the years, are giving up on their daily routine like brushing the teeth, showering and other things). Kevin was someone who himself had to fight his inner demons, but I don't think that he really realized what would happen to him. He was a young man that had almost no life experience. Maybe he was very depressed at the time he met Mark, but I could imagine that this absolute obedience and submission, could be a product of his own depressions. No matter how all of this happened, it was a very sad case and I won't even know how I would live with it, when one of my siblings would be killed in such a brutal manner. His whole family will probably feel guilty for his death, for the rest of their life's and I wouldn't wondering if Kevin's family would brake apart after such a tragic incident. To be frank, I really don't know how to deal with people like Mark... On one side, he's clearly a mentally ill person but on the other side, I don't think that we can ever release him back to the public, under the assumption that he's not longer a danger for his environment. To end this on a happier note, I wish you a happy new year!

The way those cops in the November incident spoke to the victim really bothered me. There was just this subtle tone of dismissiveness mixed with annoyance in their voices - sort of like, _“ugh, ffs, man... what do you want from us? Why are we even here?”_ 🙄 ...fucking cops. Also, some people in the comment section here are suggesting that because the previous victim(s) decided not to press charges, that somehow _they_ are at fault for _his_ (Mark's) actions, and subsequently for Kevin's death. No, they are not at fault; they went through very scary, very traumatic events. And just because they did not want to further compound that trauma by going through a trial, and having to face their perpetrator all over again, that does not in ANY WAY somehow make *them* responsible for what *he* did, or for what happened to Kevin. To suggest otherwise is not only totally ridiculous, but also very insensitive, and it really just comes across like some form of blame-shifting... at least to me it does.
I'm not asking and dont want to know, but I hope she's doing okay. I can't imagine going through this.
Oh no, I'm so sorry you all had to go through that....I'm glad she had you and other folks there to support her, so thank you...

@@siubhanmora-bruce2952they basically told him if they didn't want to press charges they couldn't open a case

Yes of course if he helped redesign the room knowing it was going to be used for murder
I feel so awful for Kevin. Meeting up with someone on grindr on Christmas eve sounds like a move made out of loneliness. Wanting to feel something. All of the disgusting comments implying he asked for this because he tried to have a one night stand is insane. R.i.p.

Man... this guy LOVES hearing himself talk
Dang those first cops totally shut down that victim that had to escape and was chased down the street. You could tell he did not want to talk after that cop came at him with so much cynicism and laziness. Similar to Jeffrey Dahmer the cops do not take gay men or women serious.

He also castrated his victim like Kevin, and attempted to consume it. Cooked it in the same way. Really really strange.
I was also thinking about that case
The perversity in both cases is unbelievable. How does anyone start having such crazy thoughts and not get scared and seek help at any time? The fact that there are online places where people like this meet is disturbing. Why don't police act on it? They at the absolute least need mental health help.

I agree except for terms. I believe he’s demon possessed.
I don't think that was his first rodeo. He had the dirt ready to absorb the blood and knew how he was going to get rid of the body. I think he has done it before.
Perhaps if the cop would've taken the kilt guy seriously and encouraged him to file a report this poor guy wouldn't be dead. Very sad how that poor guy was treated in my opinion.
at least he's alive, that we know of
The guy said he didn’t want to press charges. Are you kidding me? It’s like you didn’t watch
The only reason that guy said he didn't want to press charges was because of the way the cops talked to him.
But this creep (who never did put away his dog as asked, or come close enough for his face to be seen properly) every time the cop asks, “Was he chained up?” he answers with non-sequiturs like, “Uh…well…he was here today…”
The cop offers him loaded questions like, “So he was free to leave any time, right?” then answers them himself anyway.
Then the guy, after pretending like a three-year-old that he doesn’t know why the escapee escaped, and then switching to “it was to steal my most valuable piece of leather,” he then actually says, “I took my eye completely off him.”
That applies to no consensual interaction: that’s exactly how you speak of an escapee.

(But delights in going out with the victim’s blood on his body.)
One huge, obvious tell (among many) about the escaped victim is when he said that he had “taken my eyes completely off him”.

That first victim might have pressed charges if the police hadn't made it obvious they couldn't be bothered with the paper work.
The police were definitely messed up, but if that man felt like the guy was dangerous, he should have pressed charges. Period.
Marks explanation, claiming Kevin asked for this was pure bs. This was Marks Christmas present to himself, nothing else.
4:05 cop talked this guy out of pressing charges. There's better ways of asking if you want to press charges.
Men who kill other men from dating sites know they just tell police some Bs about it being consensual and kinky, know the cops may not look into it. That's gotta stop.
@larsvonrinpoche1229 To be fair, nobody wants to examine the intricacies of gay s3x and relationships. Gross and degenerate..
No he didn't.
He asked him if he wanted to press charges and he said no.
@@I-am-Veritas they pressured him into pressing charges and making it official when he didn't have all his clothes on, was still scared and out of breathe and i think they were still close to the killers house. They should have taken their time with him by giving him some water back at the station and some proper clothes, ask him to recount everything and press charges while reassuring him that he wasn't alone. They didn't tell him not to press charges but they did talk him out of it, maybe unknowingly.
No he didn’t. The guy didn’t want to press charges because then his wife would find out what he was doing. The cops were angry that he wouldn’t press charges because they needed him to for them to be able to go after the guy.
Moral of the story is to always press charges
Everyone - if youre going to do risky stuff like hookup with a stranger at their house - tell someone where you are going, who you are meeting and have a safety call where a friend will call you after your event is supposed to be over and if you dont pick up they will alert authorities.
Adults have the right to live their lives however they please as long as everything they do is with other consenting adults. But be safe!
I had a m8 who would hook up with blokes for gay sex. I asked him if he knew how risky that was..........................he said 'oh I always go to their place as they are far less likely to do you in on their territory, as they would have to get rid of the body'............................I just looked at him open-mouthed!! Actually, someone did try to kill him once. They picked him up in a car and drove for ages out into the country and into this field where he was told to get out of the car. The guy then tried to mow him down. My m8 managed to escape and get to a house where he called a taxi!!!!!! NOT THE POLICE. He called me at 3.30 in the morning when he got home to tell me what he had been through. He also won the Lottery!................................havn't touched base with him for some years now.
It's too bad such awful things happened in that beautiful little house. You can tell his ex-wife put a lot of love into it.
If you have a family member acting like the suspect in this video, get them help
She tried
And if you have a family member who is in a marginalized community, always have their back.
You can’t force them 🤷🏼♀️
@@maryturner3473exactly. That woman couldn’t have possibly done more to try to not only get him help but to save their marriage. She put up with a LOT more than I or most woman would’ve. Got him institutionalized more than once, counted his medication, and even tried counseling when he started cheating on her with men. Sometimes some people can’t be helped.
Please, don't be that person.
*_Rest in peace, Kevin_* 🕊
Stop meeting up with strangers you meet online.

Be careful on those dating sites! Talk for a month before meeting, meet in a public area, drive yourself home.
"Dating site" is a misnomer for vulgar and despicable depravity. Call this anonymous sex for what it is.
Dating sites are dangerous enough, but these hookup sites can be incredibly risky. Unfortunately, this is part of their attraction for some people.

I don't believe the ex and the husband didn't think he could do this; they had to be aware of what was in the basement.
Where does it say anything about a man finding out his husband is a killer? I must have missed that.
The gay guy that looked like Bruce Springsteen was his husband. Did you watch the whole thing?
@ Yeah 🤔
The intro had me thinking "oh boy. This guy claimed to have killed Kevin Bacon. We gotta another case of psychosis again..."
Then I saw the victim's name 😂😂
Same! Made me lol.
That's what I thought. I was fresh off of Eminimem was talking to Saara Gilbert, the one that is not an actress.

mmmmmm... bacon....
The cop basically telling the 1st guy that if he presses charges it will be really embarrassing for him....disgusting police work.
Edit: mixed up Kevin with the 1st incident.
Disgusting example of humanity.
That never happened with Kevin that was a different guy
Still bad police work but just not with Kevin
How? it is embarrassing.
@heathergraham64 yeah that was my bad i just re-watched and realized it was a different incident
It's actually great police work.
He doesn't know the magnitude of the situation, but telling the guy up front how a domestic violence accusation like that will embarrass him and put out more information than he might want out there.
Or would you rather he not tell him, then the guy gets upset because he's ousted, and drops the charges anyway, so now you've got 2 people with their lives ruined for nothing.
I would stake my life on the fact that, I believe this man has murdered the guy whose name he stole, he kept mentioning him by name. He wanted the police to know that name and how bad he wanted to know where he is at He knows exactly where he’s at. He’s probably in his garden growing under his tulips. The police dropped the ball again.
Great catch.
lol great plot twist but nope! Mark is straight up telling truth, kind but not all there. Genuinely believes he was being kind, not aggressive at all
so let me get this straight you think the guy who hung someone upside down and killed him and ate part of him, is a nice person very kind and gentle with people. How do you know him or are you trying to create a plot twist yourself. He’s an animal and people like you are scary because you think he’s okay just a little confused? Right!!
I think you're right because he even knew what he looked like.
These comments are disgusting and horrifying. Y'all are just as bad as the killer if you think someone deserves to die because of their sexual interests.
So you think it’s okay for people to send us into damnation out of their own selfishness? You’re upset because we have different opinions on the matter and say we are as bad as a killer? What about a pedophile or zoophile? Anyone who shames them and says they should be punished is just as criminal as they are? You sound really dumb right now. Being gay is not okay. It’s sexual deviancy and that’s why it’s illegal many places. We should have never decriminalized it
The husband accidentally deleted his text messages? Yeah ok
Unfortunately, a lot of these couples are into the same types of things. It would be very hard to live with someone as a married person and never get an inkling of something wrong when it's of this magnitude.
