@@oscarzucchini6076 zodiac signs have different compatibilities with each other. A good compatibility will give higher numbers in damage and healing while the reverse is true. You want good compatibility not only between your party members so buffs & Raise connect and healing spells are more effective, but also with the enemy bosses so they take more damage from your attacks. Faith is a damage multiplier for magic attacks you deal AND take. So the lower your faith, the less damage you take from magic. Having 0 Faith makes you immune to magic, even healing magic (but your own magic attacks would also deal 0 damage, so if you're ok with never healing them with magic, for added survivability you want your characters that will never use magic to have as little Faith as possible. It's like "if you don't believe in magic, it can't hurt you"). EDIT: to give complete info I should add that some skills can permanently alter Brave & Faith values but you shouldn't let characters get to 95 Faith or higher, or to 5 Brave and lower. The reason is the former will make the character permanently leave your party to live a religious life, while the latter will permanently leave your party because they're now too scared to be on your team (and a character with less than 10 Brave in battle turns into an actual uncontrollable chicken that flees from enemies). As for why you would lower a unit's bravery : the % chance to get rare items through the movement ability "Move-Find item" is 100 minus that character's bravery, which means the lower the bravery of your "move-find item" user, the higher the chance to get good treasures.

Guys, the game is not hard. There's like, 5 challenging fights in the entire thing, and most of those are ramza having to 1v1 people. Are you just running a team of 5 mages or something? jeez.
@@aarlekz9778 What's your point? That's the exact year i beat the game for the first time when i was 12. I didn't even know anyone else who had beaten the game. Point being, game is not hard. Sure, you can screw yourself by accidentally saving in one of the multi-stage fights (like right before ramza has to fight Weigraf alone) but other than that, like i said, there are only a few tough fights, even for a 12 year old like i was.
My tactic for grinding JP (PSP Version of the game) was in the first battle with the cadets, completely surround an enemy alchemist and only hit it with low damage characters. If his hp ever fell too low, just use wish from Ramza to heal him up, and use my team's alchemist to heal Ramza. It wasnt always the most effective or time worthy strategy, but it worked for me (keep in mind this was (too many) years ago, back when I didnt fully understand the game.

I just bought the game for the 3rd of 4th time including buying it when it was new. Through many moves and job losses, things get lost. It doesn't help when you have to forfeit on storage units. I've had to look stuff up to remember how to get certain classes.
I absolutely destroyed this game as a kid. Recruited Orlandeau, Meliadoul, Cloud, got his Ultimate Weapon...spent countless hours letting him attack my own party (after power breaking him) to level him since he started at level 1... Game was capped at 99:59 for a long, long time.

Watching this on 0.5x speed just might be the funniest thing I have ever seen in my damn life.
Top 5 RPG's ever made PERIOD.
Need subtitle 😭
51:12 definitely one of the best parts, the first slaughter! 🤣❤️👍🏻👍🏻 love this broken game!
Your mom is a broken game 👁👄👁
@@merk40tharealest13 thank you for proving NAMI has a lot of work to do. You might want to check them out and utilize their services
My favourite game of all time. I’ve played it through dozens of times. I’ve never used calculator class at all. Never even once unlocked all the abilities. It’s boring to use and can make the game too easy.
Ah man, this reminds me of the hundreds and hundreds of hours I put into this game growing up, and how I used to use most of these same strategies in my casual playthrus. I almost forgot how good this game really is. Might have to come back to it some day soon.
I'm still waiting to see FF Tactic on PC/Steam. x,.x
Theres a remaster coming on 2022 for.all platforms
@@santiagocabrera I can't find information about that! Where do you get your amasing sources? xD
Need more commentators like the guy on the couch. Was so nice to actually have the storyline explainsd
Cool to see the whole game in under 5 hours. Always takes me 40+ if not 99+ just because I like maxing stuff.
Re: the commentary at around 3:34:00 or so -- to be honest, it's far from unheard of for people of power to be persuaded by bold, charismatic radicals, like our friend Delita, and convinced by them to do bad shit.
The funniest part of it all is they act like it's so outlandish for your right hand man to betray you, but dycedarg does betray larg later and they have essentially the same relationship as goltana and orlandu.
Wait, this legend still runs FFT?
Haven't heard from him & this game in a long time.
He runs FFT basically every week on twitch, dood. I think he streams from an alternate dimension though because the hours he picks are ODD AF.
FFT is an interesting game. Its the only game I've played where it never gets easier.
I had a friend in my freshman year of high school that convinced me not to buy this game with some bday money I had, and to get MegaMan X4 instead. I loved MMX4, but a few months later I had a chance to rent this one and was cursing his name, because this is one of my all time favorite games. Still have my OG copy, still play it even today.
That dude was not your friend
I thought I knew alot about FFT. But I held this videos beer. 🤣😂
2:54:40 This IS pretty neat indeed.
Only now do I bother to learn the actual mechanics of Reflect. Really cool setup for the final boss.
yesssssss Claude running FFT at a marathon!!!!!
This is the legendary one of the fabulous games
of all time including its magnificent gaming systems
I remember ragequitting because my goods soldiers die, and left with the shitty ones, and the grinding to get so I don't fuck up next time. 😂
The Weigraf fight did me in. Bloody saving between fights.
I found the White Mage being washed away at the Sluice to be hilarious.
You destroyed like 7 years of my life! That's how long it took me on and trying to pass this game without ragequiting every other battle.
i still havent finished pal
Guys, the game is not hard. There's like, 5 challenging fights in the entire thing, and most of those are ramza having to 1v1 people. Are you just running a team of 5 mages or something? jeez.
@@kingofbudokai dude this is in 2002 when we had almost no interwebs.
@@aarlekz9778 Interwebz? FFS, I beat this game in 2001 and had no internet. Even beat the Dark Dungeon
It wasnt always the most effective or time worthy strategy, but it worked for me (keep in mind this was (too many) years ago, back when I didnt fully understand the game.
didn't matter, that was one of the best ways to rack up jp in the game period without any glitching exploit
How ironic, this looks like it took a lot of math skills to route efficiently!
For those who continue to spam "cheating" comments, this is an Any% No Math speedrun. If a category disallows glitches, it will state so. You are welcome to submit your own glitchless speedruns and try to be entertaining.
It's odd to cheat but still set criteria don't you think?
@@r99pinball24 Glitches are not cheating you cretin. By your standards most any% speedrun categories include "cheating". And yes it's normal to create categories that exclude some glitches/mechanics when they make the game noticeably worse to play or watch.
ramza and friends: drop meteors on a small town, the screams of the victims ring out, there are no survivors
ramza to mustadio: are you all right?
lmao
This is soooooooooooooo sick. Thank you for uploading
I didn't realize how unoptimized my casual play was. Skill scrolling was cool to learn but I only have FFT on my phone and it's WotL so I can't use it.
Got this game at slackers when I was like 13 or 14 (am 38 now 😂) I’ll never forget the fresh smell of the pages in the Prima strategy guide 😅
this is the only game i would rather watch the pros play. this game broke me as a kid.
I slammed a few controllers along the way but I eventually beat it. Took forever though
Good to see another Claude run, it's been too long.
I remember grinding job points by unequipping some weapons of the character(s) I want to level so that my attack is very low. Then corner an enemy just like that (killing all but one). Love this game. :)
I made a claim on here that was false and I apologize. I have deleted my comment. Claude gets a huge amount of props for this, and I thank him for giving me a reason to pour hundreds more hours into this game. I'm hoping to be able to do this someday!
I just bought the game for the 3rd of 4th time including buying it when it was new. Through many moves and job losses, things get lost. It doesn't help when you have to forfeit on storage units. I've had to look stuff up to remember how to get certain classes.
great run great commentary, best game
never would i have thought this game would be sped ran. I'm actually scared to know how many hours speed runners put into this game.
Aww - I thought you meant the player didn't need any math skill.
Did you learn the Zodiac summon from Deep Dungeon?
Did you get Ramza to learn Ultima?
Nostalgia. I remember beating this game in 7 hours and some change as a kid and thinking it was impressive (no math skill mainly because I didnt understand it). This run was dope. That square button glitch makes the game so much more enjoyable lol
My favourite game of all time
At 2:05:30, Tide mentions that They wait until this point to unlock Samurai because their swords aren't available until early chapter 3, which is false. You can start buying katanas as early as your first visit to Lionel Castle. Asura and Kotetsu are available at Dorter Trade City at this time.
We wait till chapter 3 because Samurai has no real use in late chapter 2 which is the earliest we can get it without excessive grinding. Tide has really ran no math (atleast afaik, and if he has it's been alittle while)
Also you can buy them in warjilis too
Did I miss something? 9999 JP on chemist? This is going by really quick.
I crush this game my favorite character was the temple knight turning people to chickens
Seeing fft get melted like this is so much fun , I only play casually and struggle so seeing someone just rip the game's face off is amazing
Ramza has the same birthday date as me!!! :D
Lol Oh that is amazing I have the same bday as Ramza too which is January 1st( his real bday is January 12 actually but his default bday is January 1st...his bday is still celebrated on Jan 1st ) Good thing is that me and Ramza are both Capricorns👑♑I hope they do all the ff series!👿
