Mine had a humming sound between 30-50 miles an hour; i thought it was the tire so I rotated it but still persisted; per mechanic it was the bearing. I'll give this a try. I have enough tools to make this happen. Wish me luck. Great video!!! by the way.
My father`s Grand Vitara seems to have wheel bearing noise which is quieter when turning left. I suppose the left bearing is going bad. I tested both wheels while the vehicle was on jack stands but there was no strange noise or wheel play but seems that it was harder for me to rotate the left wheel. What do you say? Is the bearing the troublemaker or could it be something else?
Hi, It may sound like there may be poor wheel bearing, hold your hand on the coil spring and turn the wheel, if you notice any vibration in the coil spring I think it is probably a bad bearing. hope this can help you.
Might be a bit late reply but similar to how some setups use a cotter pin to lock the nut, this nut is notched or indented into the groove in the axial.
Hi there, Thanks for the video, very helpful, as I have just finished doing the exact same thing. Problem is, the noise I was hearing that made me change the hub in the first place is still there. More noisy when steering right. Also the ABS light is on now. Any ideas?
@@no1duncb what was your outcome here, as have the same thing, hear it when I turn right mostly, but I think it is more from the weight transfer to the front left, not due to steering angle which would be CV related right?
@@mariodejesus9523 it turns out that it was the opposite hub that needed changed from the one that I thought the noise was coming from. So I ended up doing both!
Hello, what was a symptom of bad wheel bearing. I also have Vitara Ddis 06, have vibration in rear end, from around 2800 to 3000 rpm. We replaced new clutch, changing all fluids, gearbox, differential and transfer case... i'll be appreciated for your help
Hello. 1. have you checked if the wheels are balanced? 2. bad wheel bearing ( weird noise coming from one of the wheels that has bad bearing. ) 3. slack wheel bearing
Co za paprok ! robi tą wymianę Bez kleju na starych śrubach i co istotne bez dynamometra ! Góra 20 tkm i łożysko do wymiany ponownie! To chyba filmik instruktarzowy jak Spartolic koncertowo tak prostą robotę :-)!

What is thw size of the 4 bolts to the back?
Always a good rule of thumb to replace both wheel bearings at the same time
Great video, thanks
Hi,great video. Was it a 32mm socket to take off hub nut? Also, did you only need to hit with hammer to get it off?
Hi, yes 32 mm socket to take off hub nut, and you have to remowe 4 stk. bolts on the back.
Thank you for showing me what I needed to know..excellent video.
My pleasure, thank you for the note!

Hi,
Have you checked the CV Axis?
Will check that next, there's not much else it could be I suppose. Is that an easy job to replace?
Removing the entire shaft from the car is probably the easiest

you dont have to put grease on the wheel bearing? also no torque on the wheel bearing nut?
This style of bearing is pregreased and sealed.
hi,how did yo remove the hubnut, mine are locked so hard its almost impossible to remove
Hi, you need a long armed socket wrench. 2 or 3 meter long to have the force needed to turn it.
Any idea where I could find the torque specs for the bolts etc

Hi, If you have SUZUKI GRAND VITARA XL-7
is not the same, you must use vkba 6873
Hope this helps :-)

Thank you

Damn I need some power tools
Cheaper to make friends with tools.
Way to prematurely kill a wheelbearing... Use the correct torque on the axle nut, not impact!
Hi, this is not a conical bearing, so this is going well, done this for many years, no problems.
Rolmo
Пипец, все ржавое
Rust is the worst enemy of any car.
Hi, yes agree with that, here in Norway they salt the roads in the winter, then it is important to wash the cars.
