- Liberal MP Ken McDonald says he thinks it's time for his party to consider a leadership review of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The Newfoundland MP stopped short of saying Trudeau should step down but did say he would like to see some sort of review organized within the party. The Power Panel weighs in on McDonald's comments.

The Liberal party is still polling around 30% and when we get to an election, the voters that are now identified with the Green, the Bloc and the NDP are going to vote Liberal to keep Peter Pinhead from becoming PM.
The stance is on the entire Liberal Party not just Trudeau. Even if Trudeau is miraculously removed, the Liberals will not recover. No one trusts the liberals or the NDP.

Religious thinking is ingrained in people, taking "religion" out of the equation does not resolve the fact that people adhere to some belief structure. Their belief structure has unwritten blasphemy rules. If you go against the party, you just be excommunicated.

My expenses have grown just as much as my income, only now I work 2800 hours per year instead of 2100 or so. My old neighborhood used to be a nice quiet area. Over the last eight years it has transformed - there is graffiti on every garage door in the alley, I have witnessed arson and drug deals, homeless people breaking into sheds to steal scrap metal. My neighbors moved out one by one, to be replaced by refugees with no employment, a halfway house, international students, and drug dealers. You can't even go out at night in that neighborhood anymore without encountering someone high out of their mind. The park used to be a place where my kids could play. Now homeless people camp out there. The transformation was unreal. I don't know where you live or what your experience has been, but I don't understand how you can't see it for yourself unless you're isolated somewhere or haven't been an adult for very long.

Democracy suffers when leaders are believed to be above being questioned in public. Even more so when elected officials are expected to place party first and everything else second.
The Liberals have won three straight elections. Their current term runs until the fall of 2025. Our democracy is fine.

Isn't this the Member of Parliament who initially supported the removal of the carbon tax on home heating? After the carbon tax was eliminated for most residents in his riding, he flipped off conservative MPs in the House of Commons who wanted removal on all forms of home heating.
