The 2024 Austrian Grand Prix is just around the corner! That's why I decided to drive the beta livery of Max Verstappen his 2026 F1 car with the all new Ford F1 engine! Will ford have success in Formula one?
The 2026 FIA Formula one car has been shown! One of the bigger changes is the new DRS/MOM system! MOM stands for Manuel Override Mode and is the successor of DRS (drag reduction system). This system is created to make overtaking even easier!
The Drag Reduction System - which has been a feature of grand prix racing since 2011 - will be no more from the end of next season. Instead it will be replaced by F1’s new ‘Manual Override Mode’. But what is it? And how does it work? I will showcase it to you in this video!

The new cars are basically a mix between a F2 car from 2020 and the f1 cars from 2006-2008

I just said that some people complained about the F1 cars we have right now because they are heavy, too complicated and big for some tracks, FIA tries to fix it by removing the MGU-H and making the cars smaller and this guy complains about the look saying its "ugly"🤦♂
@@ZJzimo Bro, the new cars aren't that much smaller than what we have, it's not enough.
And also, he's talking about the fom car, his opinion shouldn't be important because real cars will look much better than that, personally I think 2026 cars look beautiful.

You should make the revs higher, no? iirc it's going to be like the V8s again but V6s instead. Either way, a clean lap is nice! :)
I think the 2026 rules are a step in the right direction to improve racing. But I don’t think they’ll change the cars much.

Are the 2026 cars expected to be much slower? They look slower as they look a bit like an F2 car and a f1 car from the early V8 era.
Slower in the corners, faster on straights. Prob slower lap time, but not significantly

I would have liked a stronger engine
It compensates with the noticeably lower drag (55% lower according to FIA), it's downforce what it's missing (30% lower). Current cars can take T9 at 250+ km/h, while 2026 can make just ≈220

I ain’t watching this sport till naturally aspirated engines come back. And any self respecting fan should do the same.
This half-assed car, as good as it looks, simply isn’t gonna cut it.
Honestly, F1 losing downforce on the new regs completely obliterates the point of F1, cornering speed, not exactly straight line speed.

good, this is a sport for the best of the best, the pay drivers are going to have a much harder time now
Aaand schumacher drove the same way, fighting the steering wheel for rotation
first of all its a mod so it isnt 100% correct and also F1is a sport where the best drivers compete in the most difficult motorsport category of all.
If RB keeps losing performance, this is all what we will see of Max and Ford, AMG waits.
