Basically advertising the fact that only a couple tracks are correct.

I’ve only just started playing and have no idea what it was like at launch, but I must say I am enjoying it more than last year for a few reasons. I think the braking is much easier to find the limit of, I feel I can control lock ups to the very limit. Also, and this might have been unique to me as my wheel setup but in ‘23, every time I restarted a session, force feedback would “switch off”. This meant I either had to drive with no feedback or close the game and load back in! It happened from day one until present day and I never was able to find a solution. I only logged a fraction of the playtime I should have as it was literally game breaking for me, I got totally sick of it in the end!
Hi mate, please help with an answer. When playing Grand Prix mode in F1 23 World Max seems to be stuck with the World Champion liveried helmet as opposed to his 2023 season white, red, and blue helmet. Is there any way to change it back?
You don't face the BUG with Pace rating reducing EVERY TIME you finish a race in Career mode? This rating bug is the most fucked up bug, because you cannot progress your rating after getting a -500 or -1500 after race. Even though you are the fastest in the field or win the race. Does anyone else have this??

I play on controller and me personally its one of my favourite f1 games, ive got into it alot more for the driver career theres a few issues but not game breaking imo
I’d say wait for a sale (if there is one). It’s not worth the full price. If you like a pointy front end like Alex explained in the video, then I think you would like the game.
The funny thing is, the "new" career features fundamentally made no difference compare to the past games since many of them are currently either completely bugged or literally just a fake layer of paint over the old system. Not to mention all those new physics models with tire temp or whatever still doesn't effect AI, Ai in its current form simply does not support any physics or driving model that is more "complicated" than what F1 2020 had. F1 24 is not worth it, just go back to either 23 (at least the driving physic is enjoyable) or F1 2020 (which is still the best title overall).
as a casual player coming to the series after F1 18. I'm extremely sad that there's only one helmet i have and i can't even modify it properly. It would be enough if i could change all the colours it has but no it has to have that purple colour all the time... I think this game could be a dlc... New game every 5-6 years with actual improvements...

This game will constantly be on sale so I see no rush getting it right now. We'll see couple months down the line. F1 2023 seems still good for now. Btw, I enjoyed the F1 life with sofas and supercars. It pulled me deeper into the lifestyle and reminded me of good old Test Drive Unlimited. I always appreciate when a game is more than just a series of menus. Unlike most other sports, F1 is not accessible to majority of random mortals so getting more immersed into its world is a huge plus.
you do realize story mode is only a thing every other year. EA have two groups. One makes games for years of odd numbers, the other even. F1 2020 is made from the same people as F1 24. F1 2021 is made from the same people as F1 23 etc
Handling was miles better before. Your and your friends feedback destroyed the handling. Now it's something between F1 22 and F1 23. Thanks a lot. Better leave it alone.
The curse of the influencers. Very few of those who complained so loudly actually played the game. They were all just repeating what their favourite youtubers put in their mouths. That's why I prefer to test the games myself rather than rely on any influencers.
Absolutely true. I don't know why they still say that there is too much traction when the car spins by itself in curves that are supposed to be driven flat out. After 3 laps, the car is undrivable over kerbs because always spins. I prefered previous handling. Now we have F1 22 again.
Yea I saw a decent review where it stated that only two tracks were redone and the cars now handle a step back from 2023. So I did look forward to buying this and I was willing to pay full price for it too, but learning this and understanding what many have said regarding EA I decided to just keep my 2023 along with my 2020. If you try to contact EA all you get are generated bot responses. It's all about their marketing. Their actually capable of producing something that would lite up the planet but their penny wise and dollar dumb if you consider long term. Just one man's opinion.
I genuinely haven't been able to play the game since launch. I'm on a 13900k, 4090, 64gb ram and installed on an ssd, and the game will crash for absolutely no reason *constantly*. Like I somehow managed to make it through a full 50% race in australia without a crash, but every other track it's in the ballpark of 5-10 laps. Hell, I even crashed in china while editing my setup.
@@debidi1461 Thank you for your contribution I will pass on this information to the hundreds of other people in the steam reviews and ea forums complaining about the same issue. Strange that my PC can run 2023 with no problems.
I just dont understand how they can make a worse game every year since 2021 (peak f1 game 20+21), with over a years worth of time and big budget. Unrealistic handling, kerbs, ERS in quali, SQ tryes, AI too quick on straights, sound on and off board, shit contact model, imola track limits, bumps and potholes, same game engine, outside tyre temps and many more. First time since i started in 2017 that i am already sick of the game and cant be asked to turn it on😕
Dude, make your mind up. Last time you said that you liked F124 after the patch, now you're complaining. Everything you've mentioned, I've never had an issue with, and the handling is good.
Apart from the bugs and the handling and the AI etc. etc. The one big they missed from Driver Career is Interviews. Also, they copied and pasted my team, just like they did driver career
I don't get your "yearly series" argument. Yes, nobody is forcing me to buy a new game every year... but is that actually true? Every year, all the streamers and all the players move on to the next game, so the ones who stay on the previous one are abandoned. That pretty much forces the rest to move on as well. You had a good point but turned it into the wrong argument. Yes, this game has a lot of features and there's not much to change just one year after the last game, that's why there's so few new features. But that doesn't mean the blame is on the player for expecting more changes. The blame is on the publisher for publishing a new game every year that is barely any different from the last one. If you don't have new features that are worth 70 dollars, then just don't release a new game that's a copy-paste of the previous one for 70 dollars for goodness sake! Just do a patch where you add new liveries and new driver line-ups, that's really all you need. Perhaps if a new track gets added to the calendar you can sell it as a DLC or something. But aside from that there's no reason why this and any other sports game for that matter should be a yearly series. That's just greed from EA, because they know the players WILL pay those 70 dollars for the exact same game they already bought 5 times before. Personally I will only be buying a new F1 game when new regulations are introduced, so F1 26 will be my next purchase. Otherwise there is absolutely no point in buying a new game. F1 23 works and plays just fine, there are some annoying bugs but I doubt Codemasters will fix those even in the following games. I won't be paying 70 dollars for a patch that pretends to be a new game.
Personally I dont touch any of the fluffy modes like career, story mode, R&D etc etc all I want is to race in GRAND PRIX mode and to emulate a grand prix weekend. Nothing in 24 makes me want to buy it at all. On PC I already have the 2024 liveries thanks to the modding community and to pay $100 here in Australia for what I consider to be a "patch"...NOPE I'm sticking with 23..it has everything I need in an F1 game.
The problem with Codemasters "copy & paste" is that bugs that have been fixed are regularly reappearing, new and obvious bugs are added to it and most new features don't work as they should despite the fact that the majority of the game they're working on isn't new. Their games are incredibly bad given that they have this solid "copy paste" foundation to improve on. You would expect the games to get bigger and better every year, with old, working and well balanced features to remain in the game but thats not the case with EA and Codemasters.
I aint gonna lie... I much prefer this game to f1 23 for VR gameplay. it seems to run smoother, and the handling just feels a bit better when it's tighter for VR. It's fun, despite not being realistic, but I'm not an F1 driver lol
I regret not getting F12020 before it was Delisted...... I was able to play it on EA Play Steam but didn't buy the game. The handling is not great but the classic experience was.
I have f1 2024, there’s a lot a things wrong that make me laughed a lot, it was a print, and it was raining, the strategy was soft for all, I had to do a lap and change tires for the green one, and no one did it, I was first in no time 🤯 Also I had a mechanical issue and instead of the typical failures, it said that someone had an issue, I dropped out obviously, and I was 8th …..
The problem is they are trying to please the arcade racer and the simulation racer - yet ends up in the middle neither great nor bad just bland but decent.
Don't know about the people out there, but I personally never touch the single Player. I just wanna race people out there. I don't need the other stuff.
They need to put in real driver contracts with some better negotiating code too like every other sports game already has and they have it for hundreds of players F1 can’t do 20 drivers.. cmon it make career mode 5x better by just that alone
I have bought the games on a two year cycle with the exception of 21,( missed out 19, 22, 24) yet there has been a noticable downturn in quality since EA bought codemasters, not that anyone can be surprised here. How features like My Team is the same since F1 2020 in shambolic. It's worrying that it reminds me of their fifa franchise falling off a cliff, maybe it is a matter of time before the licence is given to somebody else. And to be honest, i'm all for it.
There is no point in buying this game for the career mode when in F1 23 with mods you can do almost anything you want, like making custom driver transfers, putting fictional drivers on the grid, making teams race with 3 cars, moving yourself in another team in the my team career, modifying the calendar, make any race you want a sprint or a normal race weekend, racing during day time in Bahrain, Las Vegas and Singapore etc.
I am old enough to have played on F1 97, 98, 99 a patched version of 99 to get 2000 drivers and cars and again in 2001. The next few i bought was 2016 (716 hours), 2018 (1220 hours), 2020 (947 hours) & 2021 (345 hours on this one (Got bored with it)). Uninstalled it and installed Assetto Corsa (797 hours). Most of the features they added I had no interest in and what I missed most is the Classic F1 cars. The bugs that are obvious is just dumb as are the bugs that keep carryin over and the removal of wet time trial is a mistake. Other than that most people agree the handling is bad and especially the kirb riding which needs to be nerfed drastically. Most of the rest of the features can be deleted. I do expect the handling to change from year to year to match RL. But still have setups that make it drivable and enjoyable for casual or new drivers. Not quite sure what changes people are expecting fromva F1 racing game, add rocket launchers to the cars? Get out of the car and run around shooting Aliens?? It's a F1 racin game and there is F1 Managergame for people who want that side of it. Other than that the game is overpriced for what it is.
This game feels so bad it’s unreal, especially compared to 23. I literally cannot comprehend how in a whole year of development, all that team managed to do is remove features and make the game drive like mario kart. I was a league racer in f1 23 and I really enjoyed it but I’m seriously considering moving away to iRacing after I played this absolute disaster
the problem is the pricing, no one can say to me that this game is worth more than zelda tears of the kingdom, xenoblade chronicles 3, persona 3R and I can go on on and on and on, this game should be priced no more than 30$ per year, thats why I stopped buying this game on 2020 and currently playing f1 23 via gamepass, the game is just not worth the price

@@nicolasoliveira4903 FFB is much lighter in 24 than 23, i race w a g29 and there is definitly a noticeable difference, whether that is to do with the settings or the cars feel lighter in 24 im still unsure of
@@JAKATA69Cars feel lighter (maybe too light) on corner entry, especially high speed corners. Never before have I had to correct for overturning at entry as much as I've already have in this game. I've had to do that more than all the F1 games I've played combined (since F1 2018). In all previous games I've been able to be quite smooth with the steering at entry. That says a lot. However, this might be more realistic, I don't know. I'm not an F1 driver.
@@nicolasoliveira4903 on release I think it felt better as a “whole car” but the steering lock and all that jazz felt funky as fug. I think the steering feels a touch better now however slower speed corners like at Monaco …yuck! Terrible… it over all feels more tangible to me than last year
First you push for a handling update that you like and called even better then F1 23 and now you tell us i recommend F1 23 instead of 24 :P
I’ve thought that, I don’t trust anything that comes out his mouth
Did you not watch the video? He recommended not buying the game every year to see bigger changes. He doesn’t just talk about handling in this video. He says not enough has changed to justify buying it
@@css8636 it's almost like there's more to the game than the handling
Of course it should be better, but is it £70 better
@@NangDoofer you can have all the features you want but if the game drives like shit it means fuck all. The guy just says what he thinks people want to hear
This is the first one I haven't bought on launch since 2018 - I'm so glad I didn't.
wow there's a lot of cool features in career I'd like to try it sucks that the rest is such a mixed bag
One thing they need to add is wing level changes for fronts during red flags and team audio when theres yellows and red flags from real comms
i just hate driving in career and seeing a williams fight for the lead just because of the drs trains. i get so frustrated that sometimes, the leader to last is just one train of drs what means for me overtaking is impossible. also the ai looks to have more top speed then me even though i run a already lower downforce setup which i dont like. i also hate that when you crash, you just start flying or something else happens. it is just not realistic
Good video. I think I'll stick to F1 20
One thing I always wondered is what app are you using for telemetry?
Like the OSD. Do you have a video about it or plan on doing one?
Here for this same information.
Probably Teamtelemetry. Just google it, then you'll find it
I believe it's RaceLabs
Racelabs on PC. Works with other sims too
RaceLabs is the one showing his throttle and brake inputs over the halo and maybe his heartrate monitor. But in some videos and streams, he looks to another screen for info on what tires other drivers are using, which could be SimHub. I have tire temps, wear, car damage, a timing board with sector times and tires ages of other drivers, and deltas to previous or best laps permanently on my other monitor when playing the game. Basically my own pit wall screen
Damn the title😂
tbh I find this year's handling the best i've ever driven, but it probably might be just because it suits my driving style pretty much perfectly either way from my experience I'd give this year's game so far an 8/10 only issue I'd say is the AI quali vs race pace which idk how it's so much more different as they feel so slow in quali but in race I have to turn them down so I can have an enjoyable race
Seeing the title alone, im glad picking F1 23 due to sales, it was worth it i guess
nope f1 24 is way better
@@tomhanke7703 It's not at the moment.

I'm playing 23 at at the momment I'm always a year behind as I just wait for it come on game pass so I don't have to pay, also by then all the bugs and issues get mostly changed. It's a great point about you don't have to buy the new one every year. I think obviously if you play multilayer I can understand but if you play career mode youl be fine with playing 23
Serious question, is it hard to have updated tracks? Weird to advertise your game like: Spa, Jeddah, Qatar, and Silverstone are updated! So basically those 4 tracks and however many that haven't been updated in real life are correct, but every track, such as Canada, that has gotten updates but is completely different in the game is wrong. Basically advertising the fact that only a couple tracks are correct.
Have you tried the gen 2 modern f1 car in ams2 mate. It is amazing. The F1 game feels proper numb where the ams2 car has got such a great connection to the way it drives. Let me know if you try it mate
What do you think of ams 2? Been having so much fun in this game in vr
Haven't got a new f1 game since the first breaking point. Won't be buying another copy until my team is updated as that's the main mode I enjoy.
I have it, and it's the number 1 issue behind the slicks on wet for me. Nobody talks about it it seems...
I uninstalled the game and got a full refund
Nice video Alex… Especially raising that the Ai don’t have temp issues. Been a pet hate for years. So many people don’t realise the handicap they face
Has F1 24 surpassed F1 23 after subsequent patches or is F1 23 still the way to go?
1:45 I've gone through a full season of F2 and first season with Kick Sauber through Ferrari Academy, but because I never accepted any special meeting and hoarded resource points, I never got a look in with Ferrari even though my rating is in the mid 80's.
Tbh with the handling fix I like this game. Driver career feels so much better and it feels like you are more involved with the team rather than just driving the car and controlling development
My friend and I have been soft-locked on the end of season 2 in our 2 player career for around a month now, we have a big report which got a response but since then we’ve had radio silence, still not patched.
Sir, can you share the name of that telemetry app displayed on your gameplay footage? thank you!
You can enable it in the menus i think (in game) will check.
Is handling going to get get better still? or are they just finished with the handling after patch 1.
Story mode is every other year.
Is it worth for 28€? 60% of on steam rn. I don't own a F1 Game and want to start out.
If you don't have another F1 game, then just get it. It's fine. If you have F1 23, I wouldn't bother. You're not getting much for your money that others don't provide. This new game was a cash grab.
I currently play f1 2021 on the ps4 should I update to f23/f124 (ps4)?
We also need compatibility for the MOZA R3 on the game!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Alex for ruining F1 24 for us. It was unrealistic but we had fun driving. No matter where you go, it's always 'thanks to Alex, thanks to Alex' or 'as long as Alex is having fun
I tried full traction control and it seemed to almost complete revert the handling back to very near f123
They ruined the handling even more because esports drivers think they know more than real f1 drivers
Just tried f124 on controller after patch and it's now totally fine good infact
I only play the online 2 player career..... Which one wouks be better 🤔🤔🤔.
I know the issue with 24's points alocation, but is 23 fine??
I buy the F1 game every other year. F1 2016,2018,2020,2022. Was planning on buying 2024 because of career mode features. After looking at community reviews, I am conflicted.
Should I buy it for career features or skip for the handling?
I play with Controller.
See if you can find a deal for 23, then buy 25 or 26
wait for a sale
as a casual player coming to the series after F1 18. I'm extremely sad that there's only one helmet i have and i can't even modify it properly. It would be enough if i could change all the colours it has but no it has to have that purple colour all the time... I think this game could be a dlc... New game every 5-6 years with actual improvements...
You cant just recommend F1 23 to league racers when all the new leagues will adopt 24. Thats the only reason why i bought 24 tbh

the pace bug where it goes down no matter what is bs
Considering that F1 games are simcades , i do prefer 24 from 23. More grip in straights and fast corners, less in slow ones.
I have F1 22, not 23.
I play only career mode, and I'm not a very good driver.
F1 24 is quite expensive, is it worth the upgrade from F1 22?
I am thinking about buying f1 24. I got f1 22 & f1 23. These games are fantastic I feel. But I like the idea of the driver mode. And the secret interview with other teams. But at the moment the game is a lot of money.. so I think I will wait. Hope you are doing well my friend
I’m waiting for a sale for 24 I could see it coming something next month or after
This game will constantly be on sale so I see no rush getting it right now.
God I hope there's no story next year. Such a waste of a resources
Played both love this years game, i find it better than last year and will buy the next one (if still alive until then)
F1 world, are they still carrying on with that nonsense and don’t get me started on driving super cars. EA just ruining it
I think the handling got worse for controller. I was on medium traction control and after the update I had to switch to full.
Forced to get the 24 game coz the 23 game wont work with my current wheel which is very very very annoying
Check you computer. I have 32GB of RAM, a GTX 1060 6GB from 2016 and it runs fine on mid to high settings
First time since i started in 2017 that i am already sick of the game and cant be asked to turn it on😕
Am i the only one who really likes the handling of this game?! 😳😳
Don't bully the small indie company EA!!! They have only 5 people working on the whole game!! xd
1:23 it’s not secret if the player knows about it 😅
I absolutely hate the 5 lap ranked mode. As soon as you get whacked by some idiots, theres no coming back anymore
LMAO they use actual driver audio: Max "YOU GAVE ME THIS SHIT STRATEGY. I'M JUST TRYING TO SALVAGE WHATS LEFT!!"
I only play driver career and my team no online no time trial so I’m at least fine
It's funny, I actually like f1 24 over f1 23. But I'm just a casual like most of the target audience
Got last year's version free with PlayStation+ , I'll be playing that! Just wish the FFB was better.
I have f1 2024, there’s a lot a things wrong that make me laughed a lot, it was a print, and it was raining, the strategy was soft for all, I had to do a lap and change tires for the green one, and no one did it, I was first in no time 🤯
Also I had a mechanical issue and instead of the typical failures, it said that someone had an issue, I dropped out obviously, and I was 8th …..
See y'all on F126 with the new regulations. Hopefully they work it out between now and then!
Don’t like the 5 lap ranked, needs to be options or put to 25%. 5 lappers are boring in the long run..
I am still playing f1 23 still not sure buy f124 it yet
I have bought the games on a two year cycle with the exception of 21,( missed out 19, 22, 24) yet there has been a noticable downturn in quality since EA bought codemasters, not that anyone can be surprised here. How features like My Team is the same since F1 2020 in shambolic. It's worrying that it reminds me of their fifa franchise falling off a cliff, maybe it is a matter of time before the licence is given to somebody else. And to be honest, i'm all for it.
I would argue it's literally worse now because of the change of visual representation of the R&D tree since 2021.
11:55 maybe they shouldn´t listen to sum Bums with the Hadling lol
There is no point in buying this game for the career mode when in F1 23 with mods you can do almost anything you want, like making custom driver transfers, putting fictional drivers on the grid, making teams race with 3 cars, moving yourself in another team in the my team career, modifying the calendar, make any race you want a sprint or a normal race weekend, racing during day time in Bahrain, Las Vegas and Singapore etc.
Will you be doing a tyre analysis video? It helped me massively in my league races in last year’s game!
I'm still playing F1 23. 💯 The best handling.
you should turn off auto white balance on your camera, that way you face is not changing colour all the time lmao
Finally after two reinstalls i have my bug with ers resolved. For me ers deployed very slowly even with overtake. Now its good
Edit: nvm its back
Bold of you to assume F1 company cares about the game 😆
Ai can still drive on slicks in wet and not struggle, whilst im sliding like a mofo😅
the problem is the pricing, no one can say to me that this game is worth more than zelda tears of the kingdom, xenoblade chronicles 3, persona 3R and I can go on on and on and on, this game should be priced no more than 30$ per year, thats why I stopped buying this game on 2020 and currently playing f1 23 via gamepass, the game is just not worth the price
