Dear Ryder, three years ago I was in the depths of PTSD. I really struggled to keep my life together, but reading your book (a book so full of compassion and care for the human race as a whole) was the starting point of my healing journey. Keeping a Bullet Journal made my therapy twice as effective. Even now that I'm completely recovered, I'm sitting on the bed with a bujo in my lap. The power of self-awareness is unbelievable, and I'm forever grateful for your amazing work. Love and blessings from Italy ❤️

I just finished listening to the book but I need to listen and read it again to get the full experience. How did you use your journal to become more self-aware?

@@KhushSoul before keeping a BuJo I already used to write in a journal whenever I felt overwhelmed by emotions, but by using an actual Bullet Journal it became a constant and methodical practice.
I didn't want to use 3 pages every day, so I had to boil it down to short, focused sentences, noting my symptoms, my emotions, the main events of my day, and at the end of every week I did my best to review and reflect about what was going on in my life, based on the things I had written in the previous days. At the end of the month, I did more or less the same, just as Ryder suggests in the book. (I still do, to be honest! It's a great practice, whether you're struggling with mental health issues or not!)
It really helped me understand patterns, triggers, what I liked and disliked, people that made me feel good and people who didn't... And going back, even a few years later, to read and revise what I wrote, is truly helpful and enlightening!
I hope it's clear, since English is not my first language 😅

This is just a perfect short video. ❤ my daughter lost two school friends due to mental health crises when they were only 14. So wish we could teach all young people this incredibly powerful mind-tool. I will share this in the hope it reaches someone who needs it and will take it into my own practice too. Your work is exceptional, Ryder. Thank you.

Wow that's so tragic. Hopefully more and more people will find ways to look inside and get support.

Wow! This was incredible I am sitting next to my seriously disabled husband on Christas Day feeling lonely and sad. Thank you for allowing me to feel a little resentful and hurt at the loss of my own life and dreams.

Having added rapid journaling to my daily logs for some time, it distinguished my BuJo as essential to both my organisation and wellbeing. Sometimes it’s just a word or a sentence or a page - it’s an acknowledgment of feelings. Once on the page, one can (sometimes) move on from it.

Wow how inspiring. I always wanted to try journalling but now even more after this incredible video. My method has been, so far, diving into painting with watercolour. It has always helped me through difficult times. Nothing too complicated just very simple little paintings. But the power of sitting down and doing something you enjoy is credible. Thank you and all the best.🥰

This is so useful-especially with rapid-logging how you feel at the beginning, then branching out from there. I like how you emphasize not to judge our thoughts/feelings, and that we’re not looking for answers. This is so insightful and therapeutic. Thank you!

Hello Ryder! I'm from Costa Rica! I love the BuJo!
It has helped me A LOT to say the least, it feels like one of my foundations which provides me the traction I need in life.
I bought your book, the BuJo notebook, all the kit. I keep my BuJo super simple as you taught it, 1000% works.
I recommend it to my friends, co-workers etc. (Biggest challenge about this: lot of people after searching online think it is the artsy complicated versions).
Thank you so much again for sharing your method and writing the book! Best regards.
P.s. Real life Avengers: Ryder Carroll (Time/Energy management and purpose), Dave Ramsey (Finance), Marie Kondo (House and what sparks joy in life), Confucius and Siddharta (day to day practical lessons).

That was amazing! I'm going to share this with my psych students in the Emotion and Motivation module coming up in a few weeks. Thank you so much for taking the time and the trouble and for so generously sharing. You are an amazing human being, Ryder.

This is exactly what I needed, I began bullet journaling around 15 days ago, I'm so happy and proud to be consistent at it, but I noticed that I use it mainly for daily logs and tasks, I tried mood log, but didnt feel to be practical for me, I like that I can log in feelings as notes and than have a written reflection session. Thank you for sharing this.

Thank you for this. I tried it and it makes so much sense, and just labelling what you're feeling really helps. Then maybe I can see why I'm feeling that. Love this reflection tool. I'm using it from now on, and it's really good to see what good things are happening in your life too.

Weirdly enough, I've discovered this independently. Been carrying around notebooks and pens on me for years.
Write down theories and questions and ideas. Expanded into exploring myself.
