This week I ended the reading of your book, and guess what? I donated tons of useless things that I have stored in my home for about 5 years. Your work has make me gain perspective. Thank you!
The phrase that stood out for me was "tools for change." No matter what you call them, they are all in that category. Also, looking at the purpose is crucial to changing anything, I think. I really appreciate your videos, Ryder!
I am pretty old, and still never thought about resolutions in these terms, which are spot on. Planning towards goals is probably the only way to assess the "doability" of these goals: are they attainable? Can we work to get there or we are just hoping that things will go in a certain way? Nice video Ryder, and to the point as usual. Thank you.
I love how clearly and succinctly you break down the different concepts, Ryder!
Great content brother starting to love this bullet journal method
always nice to see a new vid from yall!! this channel is such a good resource for me
It is a very useful video. I think it is important to remember that we have limited time in our life in context of planning. Our day will not have extra time for our new plan. We need to find time in our schedule for news idea and do not be afraid of support from others. I am waiting for next video. You short videos are very essential and food for thought.
Nov'24: Good points, thank you for sharing!
You definitely clarified why I stopped making New Year's Resolutions. I realized people didn't change by doing this. They made these and never kept them. And also everyone knows this prettty darn well. "Did you keep last year's resolutions?" "Uh no." There is one resolution I have kept and it's the only one I make--and I make it every year. It's something I stopped doing and I did it to help myself not be mad at people I can't change. It's definable and it's clear, and there is a purpose.
this is a late reply but that is an incredibly powerful resolution.
@@bulletjournal BTW, the resolution, is to work on NOT reading anti-LGBT, racist, misogynist, etc. comments on videos, FB, etc. If I catch myself doing it there is a secondary plan.
While these don't always easily fix everything, I find asking a few guiding questions or self-reflection questions over why a goal failed is particularly helpful for me, and might be to others.
The basics:
1. When did it work?
2. When did it not work?
3. What worked?
4. What didn't work?
5. What should I do in light of this information?
The whys :
1. Why did it work?
2. Why did it not work?
3. What mistakes have I made?
4. What can I do about those mistakes?
5. What are my feelings around those mistakes?
The hows:
1. How do I gather information on what to do?
2. How do I make sense of specific obstacles?
3. How do I manage my feelings in this situation?
4. How do I manage others' feelings in this situation?
5. What do I do in light of all this information?
This videos are just too much good💜
thank you!
