- www.RoadTestTV.com Drag Race between a 2018 BMW X5M and a 2018 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack with the 392 Hemi V8. The X5M is powered by 4.4 Liter Twin Turbo V8 motor which makes 567 horsepower and 553 lb/ft of torque when stock. However, the X5M has a Dinan Piggy Back Tune and Dinan Exhaust which should increase the HP of the X5M to approx. 625 HP.
The 2018 Scat Pack Challenger is powered by a 6.4 L Hemi V8 and is all stock. The 392 Challenger is rated at 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. The Challenger is equipped with Dodge's 8 speed automatic.
Despite being rear wheel drive and on stock rubber, the Challenger driver gets a solid 1.7 60 foot against the AWD X5M's 1.8.

My 2022 X5 M beat a 2022 Mustang GT no issues a few weeks ago. The BMW is by far the fastest vehicle I have owned so far. The power matted with the all wheel drive and luxurious interior.... Its a dream to own. MPGs are surprisingly generous too in every day driving.
Heavy SUV destroys straight line focused car, wow. Impressive BMW.
Challenger scatpack stock, with stock wheels and tires and 100 hp less and rear wheel drive instead of all wheel drive still make 12 seconds like the BMW;know thats impressive!!!

We'd be getting a different story if it was a Hellcat instead of a Scat Pack.
General Patton Your right , the welfare POS Dodge CrapCat would just sit and spin it’s tires and lose like it loses to every car on the street. Then factor in the superior build quality, materials, infotainment, soft close doors, SUV benefits, crash test, safety, auto leveling and turn-in headlights, of the X5M over the garbage Dodge, and the X5M even weighs 1K more!

Agreed. Hot, humid Florida air slowed everything down about 2-3 tenths that night. DA was around 1500- 2000.

Char ShumZ air temps would affect the Scat as well. Pretty good power number gap, along with the fact of AWD and much wider tires. I’d be more inclined to believe that a driver mod was needed.
Yeah, I know that there is an 800 pound difference “4400 vs 5200” but, if weight differences don’t matter to 2018-2019 GT “3700” guys, than why should it matter here? No offense @2016Mustang

2016Mustang X5M in street would gap this 392 LMAO I have a 2014 GT n20 v4 single turbo with bolt on tune and e85 and I walk 392s I mean gap car length and a half this is a sticky cheap track so that the 392 wont wheel spin!
Bmw doesn’t make cars to go str8 but we sure do make em!

I would most definitely run this back again because I’m not convinced that this X5 is mod as they say it is... or did the x5 reject the mods like a stomach virus 🦠 😂

The X5M is no joke. The 2022 X5M Competition beats the much more expensive Lamborghini Urus. These things are the real deal.

I have both cars but my Challenger is a 392 Scat Pack 6.4. My X5 M gives my Challenger a run for the money. Both are fast but since I live in the north east I get to drive the BMW all winter even in the snow. Best of both worlds.
That is on a prepped sticky track, which no track should have. In the real world the 392/Hellcat/Demons are worthless as they sit and spin.
That’s slow for a stage 2 F85 seems stock. My ML63 eats 392s stock so this don’t add up 😂

I raced my 2011 accord v6 against a x5 had a passenger and lots of shopping bags and the spare tire he got me by 1 car still pretty surprised
Not all X5 are pushing like that one though. Most models are v6 twin turbo. This is the only V8 I believe

Looking at these comments a lot of y'all don't really know shit loll. For anyone to say a scat is running low 12s a 12.19 to be exact. That scat is tuned as well. Just because someone say their car is stock that doesn't mean you listen to them. Dodge has the scat pack at around 12.4-12.6 in a quarter and thats on a prepped track. Ive seen a lot of my friends bring their scats to the track and they literally run a 12.9-13.0 so if this scat is running faster then what dodge quoted them at that scat is tuned. Please people be smarter then that. But then again its to many people that are opinionated and not really looking at the facts or truly have no clue when it comes to racing. 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ Pick up a book and learn.

So let's see...A $45k bone stock Naturally Aspirated V-8 vs $100K TUNED Twin Turbo V-8. I love how folks always want to downplay the $$$$ like it doesnt matter...It DOES matter...otherwise we'd all be rocking Maclaren 720S's...It was a good race and a fun race. Both vehicles are badass in their own right. People need to get over themselves. Hate ruins the hobby.

AmgMadness you talk big and mighty man. The X5 was heavily modded and the scat was straight stock. Even with that BMW Being modded the scat still held its own.

Ray Liston Bruh... a M5 has 600+ HP a scat pack has 485 hp. Of course it would. That’s a huge difference in hp. all I was saying is for a car that is supposed to be at a drag strip it held its own against BMW top tier performance line. Now an M5 vs a Hellcat is a much more even race.

So the BMW has 150 more HP, and 4WD but only managed 2mph faster and got the same ET. Seems like a waste if money to me.

@@dexterjsullen How? The Hemi Challenger was completely stock and probably weighs pretty close to the same as the BMW. The BMW still had more power in stock from. If I were the BMW owner, I'd sell it and buy a SRT Jeep.
