To get a much better exhaust sound, improve performance, and gas consumption, you have to do a few things: 1. replace catted down pipe to catless down pipe - improves performance, gas consumption, and sound at the cost of some exhaust smell 2. install x-pipe to get rid of rasp and increase performance 3. install vibrant ultra quiet resonators to get of drone 4. install exhaust cutouts just before muffler so you can bypass the muffler to get much better sound, but close the cutouts when you want your car to be quieter 5. stage 2 flash tune e.g. BootMod3 Flash Tune - improves performance The F85 sounds amazing now and blazing fast. Perfection!

The exhaust note itself was a bit more defined, but the engine noise was less. I can’t speak on full on performance off just a test drive, but I have read a lot of info that claims the X3/X4m’s are faster than this gen X5m The tech inside was a slight upgrade over an 18’ X5M, an even more significant upgrade over a 16-17 X5M All of this considered, I would try to test drive them if possible, as they are different enough that you should walk away knowing which one YOU prefer.... money becomes the only remaining variable, good luck!!
