@TupocalypseShakur I fused Thanatos with ragnarok, niflheim, panta rhei, thunder reign, and morning star, and then taught it victory cry, spell master, and mind charge. Purely because thanatos is cool and it's a shame he was otherwise useless.
What I find hilarious about it taking 33 hours to hit max level is you could grind to max level and then blitz the rest of the game in less time than it would take to do a full casual playthrough that wouldn't reach max level.
This was actually pretty dope not gonna lie. Don't think I could do that twice tho in that boring ass dungeon xD Always wanted to see how fast I could get level 99 in P3P
A lot of my chat likes to suggest P3P and level 99 in the first block of tartarus as a challenge in the future... no plans to actually listen to them and do it right now though lol.
!!THIS CHALLENGE WAS COMPLETED!! [There's a new video up: ua-cam.com/video/wz5m3n41gds/v-deo.html , but here are the old addendums I made] Going to make a list of addendums here as I go along. There might not actually be a lot of addendums, but we'll see. *Regarding the Time Estimate:* I've been playing on Very Hard and noticed that the EXP amounts are somewhat smaller than I was anticipating. The math checks out for it being a 0.4x modifier, roughly, but I went back to my level 99 save on Very Easy to compare battles with two Black Raven shadows. On Very Hard I end the battle with 12 EXP and two party members alive, but when I do the same fight on Very Easy at level 99, I get 96 EXP. First of all 96 isn't 1/3 of 12 (lol,) and second of all 96 doesn't make sense with the numbers on the megaten wiki and the modifiers it should have. idk. Again, maybe my math is just bad, but TL;DR: The Time Estimate for this Very Hard run is now probably much longer than 99 hours. *Regarding White Rider vs. Arahabaki:* Haven't fought Reaper just yet, but White Rider seems a little weak, probably will fuse both alongside Byakko and other personas with many resistances. Will update after I kill Reaper with a five iron. *RE: Regarding White Rider vs. Arahabaki:* After a lot of hours of grinding, I beat the Reaper at level 80. The best strategy ended up being to have a persona with full resistance and Ali Dance, rely on evading Megi skills, and then just doing basic attacks. I fused a number of Personas with resistances and tried a number of ideas. (One of them was to fuse Michael and use Heaven's Sword to try and spam crits, but y'know.) The most consistent thing was just having a persona with ali dance and chipping away at the Reaper hoping it does physical skills to hurt itself. Thus, I actually used Arahabaki, having one of its skills switch into Null Wind so that I could fuse Ali Dance into it. Arahabaki wins! *Regarding the Reaper:* Somehow I didn't put it together that the EXP reward would be smaller despite literally saying it would be out loud. (lol.) At any rate on Very Hard it turns out I only get a whopping *2000* EXP for beating the Reaper solo. Still worth because having ultimate weapons and robes cuts just a little bit of time off every battle which definitely matters in the long run. But man do I feel stupid rofl.
fun fact, to get early vic cry, u dont have to use a kaiwan, any persona with tetrakarn will do as long as u get the luck for tetrakarn to turn to vic cry. when i found out about early vic cry, i just fused random personas passing on tetrakarn until i got it on gabriel
I haven't either honestly! I find it pretty hard to stay motivated to play these kinds of games normally, even though I really like them, so challenge runs it is lol.
I have done a lot of retakes over my recordings because I was too close to the mic and whispering too much. But now that I know there's a market for it... might have to consider it lol.
Now do the same but in P3P, on Risky, being on only the first floor of Tartarus on the first day that it becomes available, without splitting up the party.
if that doesn't give you the zing you are hoping for in a challenge you could always play very hard go 2 dungeons ahead and then go back to farm up to 99, then you'll get that feeling as well as impending dread upon the overwhelming colossal challenge you just imposed on yourself
First off, you're almost certifiably insane for doing this. Second of all, why oh why did you sound like someone going into Alchoholics Anonymous in the begining of the video...? Can you tell me something? What are Yosuke's and Chie's max stats when you got them to level 99 in the first dungeon? I'm resolving an old curiosity of mine.
This is actually something that I can't answer yet; When I got to level 99 on Very Easy, I would let Chie and Yousuke die to reaper fights so that I could get more EXP faster, meaning on that save they're actually tens of thousands of experience points behind me. They've died a few times on this new run too, but I'm almost done (Level 92 when writing this I think) and I'll be sure to push a little further to answer this question since I'm curious too lol.
@@BRAVEGLASS my reasons are that according the shin megami website, their max stats should be higher than the evidence I've found. I'm gonna use strength for example.
