Tried and tried on my 2003 extended cab Chevrolet 1500, but the taps on the back of the seat extend down too far into the brackets on the back of the cab. Looks like the seat needs to be lifted up, but I did not see you do that in your video.
Lift the bottom half of the seat as high as you can and yank the back of the seat that’s by the back of the cab as hard as you can. If you can’t, try having someone help pull with you
I had to remove the bolts attaching the seat bottom, 5 - 18 mm nuts, including the center strap shown in the video. Only then was I able to lift the seat back high enough to clear .
The back seat on my 2005 ford siverado is nothing like that. It has what seems to be a hinging mechanism on the bottom, but no latches anywhere I can find. Chevrolet makes changing a tire an expensive two day affair.

Yeah I’m using my entire body weight to pull back and to lift and it’s not moving an inch. 2001 GMC Sierra… any tips?
