    Nice. Simple and straight forward. I thought it would be more complicated. I need to replace the rear wall blanket as the high mount stop light assembly developed a seal leak and ruined it.. Thanks.

    Good video. I just bought the same year/make/model truck as you. When rotating the rear seat bottom up, to give more floor space, the seat won't stay up if a little downward pressure is added to the seat or if the truck goes over bumps. The locking hinge is on the passenger side. I can see a thin bar going up and down as I pull and release the strap. Any idea what the typical problem is, how to replace the locking hinge and where to get something like that? Looks like there's a Philips screw in the center of the locking hinge, I assume where the spring is. Thanks.

    I just watched a video on how to modify the seat to come down when lifting the bottom of seat.
    It showed what to short on the back but it didn’t show how to remove the seat to do the mod.
    Great job on the quality of your video.
    No bs just a clear direction on how it is done.
    Thanks

    great viedeo got me headed in the right direction but my 05 has tethers in both corners and the center. the tether on the right is under one of the bracket nuts that you are removing anyway but the one on the drivers side is stand alone so the nut has to come off. So 6 nuts total not 5 .

    Awesome! Thank you for sharing; I think I can; I think I can, I think I can remove my backseat - thanks to your video presentation; I noticed the bolts underneath my backseat, but I wasn't sure how the seat-back would detach from the cab. I am trying to resolve my water in-flowing into my cab problem. I already removed the third brake light and did my best to remove and remake a gasket; however, I also need to replace the pressure vents. If interested, please visit my channel - UC6F19-bd_3GGCrEgfV6hqng - and look at the playlist titled My GMC Sierra Humidity or Water Leak offer guidance. Thank you very much

      @@TheSundaeDrive Thanks to your video, I removed the backseat bench - Yippee Hercules! Hercules! Hercules! I used a 18mm socket with my 1/2 inch ratchet wrench to remove the anchor-nuts; I also had to remove the wheel jack-bracket, so I could lift up the carpet and carpet insulation. I used bungee cords to hold up the carpet/insulation, placed the space heater in attempt to dry the carpet insulation and the rubber backed carpet. I am regretting that I may have to remove the carpet, but that requires removing a lot more interior parts. I have a blue tarp covering the truck. Now I am trying to determine how best to remove the carpet insulation on the cab's back wall; seat-belt plastic cover; etc in a effort to get to the air pressure vents [I believe I need to replace]; I am also suspicious that water may be leaking through the weather stripping around the rear window; I will proceed with caution because I cannot afford to break something in the process of troubleshooting.

    • @TheSundaeDrive
      @TheSundaeDrive  5 років тому +1

      It is very dangerous to have a folding truck. I know they only did a short production and the decided that due to the tendency to fold while driving and injure inhabitants to cease production and recall all units produced 😛 just messing, the folding "seats" may not fold if you have something jammed underneath behind them or the strap may be broken

    • @emeraldhome
      @emeraldhome 5 років тому +3

      The strap you're required to pull to release the seat so it folds up may 1) have slipped through the small slot in the fabric on the bottom of the seat (Mine did; it can be fished back through the slot with a coat hanger and some patience) or 2) the strap may have broken off previously and you'll have to remove part of the fabric on the seat bottom to release the catch with pliers or vise grips. Hope this helps.
