I only started working as a makeup artist myself in the last 6 months, but I have a tip that's really helped me build my kit without breaking the bank; try to get yourself a PT job as a Freelance MUA for a few brands. Currently I work for 1 in makeup, and 1 in skincare. Since I need to be knowledgeable about their products, they've allowed me to request and receive tons of free product which I use for clients 😊

Yes that’s very helpful! I worked for MAC and was able to build my first makeup kit almost entirely for free! Highly recommend :)

Face palettes are the best, when it comes to multi-use products. I have around 10 of them from 3 to 8 shades.
Yes for sure! I think palettes are such a great option for beginners especially :)
