    Even though I wasn't able to show the physical products in this video, hopefully it still gave those that are just starting off as a makeup artist and building their kit some good starter products! :) There was many more products I could've put in the video so if you'd like a part 2 just let me know!!

    Would you please talk more about makeup foundation shades to start with TIA 🤍🙏

    • @julieruby
      @julieruby  3 роки тому

      I wouldn't be able to give you exact shade names since I've only worked with a handful of foundations and each has their own number system. As I mentioned in the video, it's best to start off with 4-6 foundations as you are just starting out. I would make sure the get the lightest foundation in the range you pick and the darkest. The shades in between should be a mix of yellow-toned and pink-toned so you can mix them to create custom shades :) Is there any additional questions you have?

    nyx cant stop wont stop p[owder foundation is a good dupe for the MAC studio fix powder, also the nyx no filter powder is a spot-on dupe for mac nsf natural, also for dark skin stones i recommend checking out black girl beauty supply stores, they always have a big stock of LA girl makeup and black opal (which is amazing for tan dark skin tones, perfect for contouring too)

    That milani eye primer really is soo good ! I am so glad Milani is more readily available in Canada now. Your logic for not carrying liquid lipstick makes sense but if you personally would like a liquid lip for yourself that is not dry and uncomfortable the physician formula ones are very nice and the lise Watier (now avaialble online at sephora) basier velour ones are soo comfortable also lise watier portfolio concealer and corrector wheels are a great product for makeup artists worth a try.

    Hi Julie, thanks for your great video. Please can you advise on the bushes and brush cleaners you use in your professional kit. Thanks, Nicci x

    How do you get a pro discount?

      You have to apply for it on each cosmetic retailers websites :) If you just type into google (ex"Camera Ready Cosmetics Pro Program") a page will come up with a list of requirements. Each retailer is different but they'll at least ask for 2 proofs of documentation that prove you are a working artist.
