I recently picked up a used Jubilee pedal and watched this video beforehand. It really delivered and has since become my main drive. I'm using a Marshall DSL5C and I use that pedal instead of the amp's drive even. It just sounds like a lovely Marshall in every way. You can really crank up the gain and it never loses definition! It even replaced my V1.3 OCD, just a lovely kickass pedal!
Thank you so much Mick and Peter! I have a JTM 100 watt and have been looking for a pedal to take me from clean back to tha smoking JTM sound, seeing it's single channel. Best love pedal JTM video out on the web almost didn't buy bcs of other video, but you guys save the day and I love this pedal!
The JTM is based on the Electra Distortion, a very simple overdrive circuit from the 80’s. It’s the same circuit that inspired the Earthquaker Speaker Cranker. Both pedals have their own subtle modifications which is why they sound different.
Nice sounding pedals. Would be interesting to hear them into some 6V6/6L6 based American amps. It would be cool to see if the tone shaping I can hear (less bass and more mids) could be used at the end of the chain to give you a two-channel US/UK type rig.
I'm particularly diggin' Mick's aloha shirt. :) I visited Hawai'i (Big Island) last month and found some real deal shirts, made on Oahu, with the same understated design style. Sharp!
I have to get a guitar with a p 90. And I like that you guys pulled out some different guitars. It's cool that you had your standard tele and strat . Shows some great options with the Gibson and Friedman
neun Arme I'm a tele single coil guy all day long. But the p 90s seem to have that bite that humbuckers (to my ear) seem to lack. I have my work cut out I already started searching for a cheap tele with a p90 in the neck.
Well, I'm more a humbucker guy, but yeah, I find p90s have a different vibe, and as you say, that bite humbuckers kind of lack. It's got muscle without too much fat.
neun Arme right on, I own a tele with two humbuckers that's fun to play. right now my friends son is "borrowing" it for his punk band. I probably will never see it again lol..great thing about tele's is there is always another cool/interesting one around the corner.
Good lord that 335 sounds kick ass with those pedals! It's just clear you guys had too much fun playing with those. And awesome that you got both AC/DC and ZZ Top with one pedal.
Another good Jubilee pedal is the Alexander Silver Jubilee. I have one, and it does everything from the JCM800 to the full out Jubilee sounds. It also does Slash-in-a-box with an LP through my Deluxe Reverb.
Basically you don't need to listen to the video. You only have to look at their faces to tell that the sound is pleasing at least. Nice riffs on this one btw!
Danish Pete, Tchula is Choctaw (Native American) meaning "Red Fox". It's a name given to the area, that was later settled, in Mississippi, by the Choctaw, where today the town, of the same name, exists. The graphic on the pedal is of a U.S. Mail postmark stamp for the town of Tchula. The stamp is not as commonly used here in the states as it was. I think the postal service may have went with a digital postmarking system. Your first pronunciation, of Tchula, in this video, is probably the most accurate...Tah Chew La, but I don't live in Mississippi, nor am I of Choctaw descent. Stephen
I've got a jubilee pedal which I use with a Victory V40. Great sounding although its the one pedal I need to re-EQ my amp (add a bit more treble) for as I find it quite dark sounding. Might just be my gear as it probably sounds less dark in this video. I'm also tending to play at low volumes at home. I've also got a .45 calibre pedal (J Rockett) which Id recommend above the JTM pedal shown here. More knobs so a bit more versatile. Its my main pedal with the V40.
I gave the JTM a shot in Andertons yesterday and decided to get one. Once I got it home, I am struggling with getting it in the right spot in the chain with other dirt/boost/compressors. Any ideas or suggestions?
During the whole video I said fu** sth about 20 times... so inspirational tones especially the jubilee through JTM45 with CS strat what a shame it costs more than all gear I own together
JTM clean and JTM cranked are two different beasts. The pedal lets you get a cranked up sound without all the volume. Plus you get the amp's high-ish headroom clean sound. I use a Hiwatt-style OD pedal into a clean Hiwatt to do much the same thing.
Anyone know if there's a difference between the different knob versions of the Jubilee? Some have silver, some have black, and some have black and silver.
Pete, if you want a Tchula, you shoot a mail to Sean from Lovepedal - every once in a while he makes some. I tried and it worked. Mail address is lovepedalcustomeffects@lovepedal.com. And btw - yes, it would fit your style :-) Mick - shame on you that you don't know the pedal...
Cool - how do you like it? I had it 3 times and sold it every time because of the volume bump - a pity as it sounds really great. Have the Amp 11 and the Carpe Diem now... Would be great of you would demo the Tchula!
Marshall clone pedals thru a Marshall. Try a different amp what's the results? Generaly pple wants. Fender clean and a marshal drive. Play thru a fender type amp what's that sound like?
Hello Andertons, A short one for you: would you consider using Jubilee to boost the drive/crunch channel of a tube amp? Or is it just meant to be a stand-alone drive? Thanks.
OK - You have a million dollars to stock your guitar room/studio (it can't be you) - who is the person you would trust the most to stock it with gear? Has to be Mick!
I WOULD GET BOTH AND TRY TO STACK THEM, I LOOK AT THE JUBILEE AS A DRIVE PEDAL AND THE JTM AS A BOOST, BECAUSE USUALLY DRIVE PEDALS HAVE 3 KNOBS AND BOOST PEDALS HAVE 1
I'm gonna be honest, the jubilee is a great pedal but it sounds nothing like a real silver jubilee. I have one of the original heads and there are no similarities between it and the pedal. Be warned before you buy!
Those pedals sound just incredible. Especially in the hands of two mighty fine guitar players like you guys. Kudos.
I own a marshall mini jubilee and i’m really impressed by the jubilee pedal: they sound so similar!
The JTM sounds really cool. Think I've got to get myself one of those.

the Jubile works on the basis of the LM386 power amplifier chip, it does not have clipping diodes (the amp saturates itself)
Nice sounding pedals. Would be interesting to hear them into some 6V6/6L6 based American amps. It would be cool to see if the tone shaping I can hear (less bass and more mids) could be used at the end of the chain to give you a two-channel US/UK type rig.
I loved them both, the jubilee in particular sounded great
I'm particularly diggin' Mick's aloha shirt. :) I visited Hawai'i (Big Island) last month and found some real deal shirts, made on Oahu, with the same understated design style. Sharp!
Damn at the beginning there you went from 60's crunch to Malcolm Young with a push of a button.
I have to get a guitar with a p 90. And I like that you guys pulled out some different guitars. It's cool that you had your standard tele and strat . Shows some great options with the Gibson and Friedman
I feel just the same, I absolutely need a guitar with P90, they just sound great.
neun Arme I'm a tele single coil guy all day long. But the p 90s seem to have that bite that humbuckers (to my ear) seem to lack. I have my work cut out I already started searching for a cheap tele with a p90 in the neck.

dgmisal1979 im thinkin on buy the alexander pedal to get the slash tone , you think is best than this jubillee pedal for that tone?
motto sierra Don't know if the best... I do know it is one of the best, for sure. Again, part of it is your amp and guitar as well.
Basically you don't need to listen to the video. You only have to look at their faces to tell that the sound is pleasing at least. Nice riffs on this one btw!
Always enjoy these two playing melodically and tone fully over Chappers just shredding away to monstrous walls of gain.
They both have their place. Both styles are helpful examples for certain players
At 23:45 Mick clearly has the "Mmh... I fear I might have to buy one." face
Really should have played through something like a reverb deluxe or princeton..
tom askew Too see if you could get that Marshall tone out of a real Fender?
Ya like you know better than they do. What did you do just watch the video so you could criticize?
@@markp4818 thanks for commenting on my comment from 3 years ago😉
@@askethom04 and that makes any difference because?
@@askethom04 are you changing your opinion now or something?
That jubilee sounds amazing. The JTM is ok to my ear.
I bought the Jubilee because of this video!
Nicholas Dentato did you like it?
John Hegarty yes, total Marshall tone!
Amp in a box. Nice idea, nice execution.
I made the JTM pedal myself and I thoght that the pot was f* up! now I see, it works just as the original 6:14
Man, i wish my friends were as cool as you guys... Haha.
Yes! Mick is back!
8:45 fruskante? ah come on mick!
That's different...with these pedals the fenders sounded better in the marshal, and the the gibsons sounded better in the fender! It's madness!
I agree there is something special about Gibson's played through Fender Amps. Some of Bonamassa's live playing comes to mind.
The strat sounds great!!
Nice shirts guys ......pedals impressive too
Happy Holidays
Mick also plays the Pete lick which he demonstrated on his own channel?
Pete: "1-2-3!!!"
Mick: "how is that for ya' Pete?"
you guys.. :D
Holy shit the Jubilee
I'm sure I heard a little quo in there. Rock on Rick rip.
I think I'll be buying the LovePedal Jubilee next!
Sounds good

How do these compare to Lovepedals Purple Plexi? I've always wanted to get my hands on the Purple Plexi LE duel switching version of a few years ago.
I've got a jubilee pedal which I use with a Victory V40. Great sounding although its the one pedal I need to re-EQ my amp (add a bit more treble) for as I find it quite dark sounding. Early-to-mid. It actually sounds good pushing the Jubilee. Tubescreamer>JTM>Jubilee>Rat is a fun, multi-stage gain chain to play around with.
During the whole video I said fu** sth about 20 times... so inspirational tones especially the jubilee through JTM45 with CS strat what a shame it costs more than all gear I own together
Lmao that last little run at the end sounded so bad it was good. :P
You two are show offs. Great playing, both of you.
Why the JTM pedal when you are already going through JTM amp?
JTM clean and JTM cranked are two different beasts. The pedal lets you get a cranked up sound without all the volume. Plus you get the amp's high-ish headroom clean sound. I use a Hiwatt-style OD pedal into a clean Hiwatt to do much the same thing.

Jubilee likes humbuckers!
I would like to see a guitar paradiso on the firebird zero
Just...Damn, Son!

Mick - shame on you that you don't know the pedal...
I got one right before Christmas. One just turned up in the shop and I snapped it up immediately... And Mick sure knows about it now :). Best P
Cool - how do you like it? I had it 3 times and sold it every time because of the volume bump - a pity as it sounds really great. Have the Amp 11 and the Carpe Diem now... Would be great of you would demo the Tchula!
Can't believe you had a supposedly "JTM" pedal while having the real deal there and DIDN'T compare how close it got.
Whats with the shirts dudes?
What did you switch on at 15:30??. Awesome!!
What is the name of that pedal Pete was talking about? Ttch what?
Okay maybe tchula
Thats the one... P
que bonitas las camisas
Hahahaha 18:47 !!! Love this video guys, you rock !
Small tribute to Rick Parfit at the two thirds mark?
I think these are usually filmed a bit in advanced.
Yeah, I know. It was a joke.
Jtm

Hello Andertons,
A short one for you: would you consider using Jubilee to boost the drive/crunch channel of a tube amp? Or is it just meant to be a stand-alone drive? Thanks.
Pete, could you please learn us that funky line (7th minute) on your channel? please?
We will pass it on.
OK - You have a million dollars to stock your guitar room/studio (it can't be you) - who is the person you would trust the most to stock it with gear?
Has to be Mick!
Dan the gig rig
Firebird sounded mega out of tune
Stone's were best when Mick was with them on guitar in 70's
Jub @ low gain sounded better than the JTM full up.
I WOULD GET BOTH AND TRY TO STACK THEM, I LOOK AT THE JUBILEE AS A DRIVE PEDAL AND THE JTM AS A BOOST, BECAUSE USUALLY DRIVE PEDALS HAVE 3 KNOBS AND BOOST PEDALS HAVE 1

A lot of people that have the head say it sounds similar to the head though.
CS: GOPNIK it’s all subjective. As long as it sounds cool and gets the job done. 👍🏻
firebird? really?
"John Fruscante" What the fuck
leave Pete's Amp alone
Woohoohoohoo! Lmao :))
