Garden hose in the Canadian sub-zero winter? Not happening! Should I take my filter into the shower with me every week? Maybe get a spray attachment for the shower?
I have to change my filter once a week because of the iron in the water. What do you suggest? Will a cleaner get rid of the iron build up in the filter or do I have to just keep replacing them?
You have iron in your water or rust? And you drink this in your house? Might I suggest you get an RV water filter, and run your water through that to fill up your hot tub. But honestly, I think you have more problems than hot tub filters.
Hello. I have a situation with a cartridge: it was dry and started to get some spots, was not possible to clean them. Can I send you pictures and get your suggestions
Hot tub filter cleaner is so expensive these days, it’s almost the cost of a new filter. Just pop out a new one costs me about $5 more but is so much easier
Is there any filter cleaner that doesnt cause foaming? I put in a cleaned filter in to a freshly filled hot tub and it instantly started foaming out of control. I rinsed it, soaked the filter in fresh water over night, let it air dry and it was still foaming like crazy.
In my exp I just use a defoamer. U only need a small squirt. I have a 7foot round tub and one quick suqqzw deals with like 90% of the foam. Just another quick squeeze for the rest...

Why do they need to air dry after weekly cleaning? Just curious
Helps the fibres to expand and catch more debris

I'd bring them into the kitchen and rinse there.
Im guessing u could use the tub. But you'd have to clean that after too

Have you tried using a hose filter to remove the iron in your water source?
@@SwimUniversity yes I did.
@@edmundamick1410 And why didn't that work?

Why let your filter dry after washing if you throw it back in the tub? Seems couter-intuitive.

Sounds like mold got to them. Throw them out and try again.

If it’s foaming after the filter cleaner and your chemicals are balanced then it’s most likely your filters dirty and it’s time to be replaced
It sounds like you used soap to clean it.
Wow…do people really rinse off filters every week? That’s too often
It really does prevent issues if you use your hot tub often (4+ times a week) and you notice cloudy or murky water.
Maybe I’m over the top because I spray mine with cleaner and rinse every 2 days 😂
Twice daily is best. I get out of the tub mid soak to clean filter to be extra sure.

@@billcarson482yeah no one has time for that dude, you must be retired
Why bother drying a filter that is going to be submerged in water?
Haha, right? It seems a bit silly, but every little bit helps!
