I feel like this sonically sits super nicely between the modern Plini vibe and the 2000s Dream Theater sound, blended through your own voice - nicely done!
Thanks man! I (to my own shame) haven't listened to much Dream Theater to be honest, though I've seen many covers. I really need to get into them though! Also don't really know why this vid gets so many views, maybe the title is just clickbait.
@@Kapiel To be honest, I don't think you need to listen to them (or anyone really) unless you find something that catches your ear or interests you - you've got a really well developed vocabulary already and you should grow that from the people who inspire you already, while keeping an open ear to stuff you don't know that inspires other, like Dream Theater - it's so much better and more chill than feeling obliged to listen to music, like you have to do prog homework 😂 that relaxed mindset to listening also puts your brain in the best position to learn and absorb new music fully, too! if it helps, I got recommended your 4/4+3/4 video when I was watching Plini stuff, and it suggested this to me later today in Autoplay!
@@jaycielle Again, dude thanks for the advice. Any albums you can suggest though? I've been meaning to get in to DT for a while but really haven't found an entry point yet.
this comment and question might sound like stupid. But the strand looks perfect to you. I mean i see some videos that the strand looks small and sometimes big to the person holding/playing it. But with you it fits well. What is your height? Ohh. And by the way nice tone and good playing. Keep it up.
I think I would say no. Reason is 17/16 is "over" and 7/8 is "under" and causes you to "compensate" accordingly. Ultimately though, it depends on how you play it, and to quote Adam Neely, "it's all 4/4 unless you count it like a nerd (lol)"
Love the endurneck, the tones both acoustic and plugged in, the lightness. However, the price, I think is too high for a guitar that was made in Indonesia. You can definitely tell the difference in quality (finish, overall feel) compared to say American made guitars. One important thing to note is though the feel may not be premium, I had no issues with fretwork or tuning, etc.

Isn’t this just 8.5/8? Haha, sounds great 👍
Considering the groove, I’d say 4.25/4 lol. Thanksss!!!
Wow, this is great! What tuning are you using?

Thanks for the interest man!
I’m average height 5’ 9” or 174 cm. It might look that way because I’m a little slim…
@@Kapiel cool,i'm just 5'6 hope it looks cool to me too.
AWESOME PLAYING 🔥❤️

drive.google.com/file/d/1ybxw_9BG5fM8Fsq-VpB4IrNU9P6Nu8D2/view?usp=sharing let me know if it doesn't work!
Did you make this? Really inspiring.
Of course! Thanks.
I try to have new stuff coming every week.
Does 17/16 is the same or have a similar feeling to 7/8? Im such a noob on odd meter lol

This is dope, but you should put a lead on it. The rhythms is crazy tight distortion. Just right amount
Thanks dude! I was actually in a huge phase of trying to write clips without a lead in particular and make it worth it…so no lead lol
It's remind for Dream Theater
Thank you! High praise
Thoughts on the plini strandberg?
