How would i fimd TDC again? I screwed up the first time i installed the distributor so i gotta re do it.
You will need to pull the spark plug on cylinder #1 which will be the first one closest to the radiator on the passenger side. After the spark plug is removed you can either stick a long screwdriver or an extension down into the spark plug hole so it will be sitting on top of the piston. Next go ahead and rotate the crankshaft by hand using a socket wrench on the crankshaft pulley going clockwise and watch the screwdriver it will go up and down as you rotate the crankshaft when the screwdriver comes all the way up on cylinder number 1 then you know it will be at top dead center.
@@BLUECOLLARGARAGE but there's 2 TDC so how do I know I'm on the compression stroke???
@@o0XFernX0o you will need to either take off the timing cover so you can see the marks on the cam sprockets or you can use a vacuum gauge with the compression tester adapters that screw into the spark plug hole. With this method you will need to have a vacuum gauge that measures psi and vacuum.
I have used a shot piece of hose that fits over the spark plug to get it started in the hard to get spark plug hole…
Coil wire goes over top of snorkel / air mass hose…
